Your lizard sounds very cool! And very appropriate. I would not think you'd get much grief about it showing, especially since it is in such a traditionally "girly" place for a tat. I'd think Oregon was open minded? No? I like the idea of your lizard because its an unusual topic, which I always prefer. My tat is fairly large/long & is on my right bicep. Its a black tribal/celtic-ish design on the underlayer & then there is a red rose with green leaves wrapped around the blackwork. I got it on my arm because back when I got it (15 years ago) you NEVER saw women with them there....and I had done it to be "different". lol. I don't regret getting mine as I like it still but I have to admit that if I'd been 18 today I probably would not have gotten one. I liked having one because so few females got them, now everyone has one, or two, or six. lol. Or so it seems. Every time I find something odd that I like it becomes popular & loses some of its appeal! When I first got my tat I wanted another one SO bad, you know how they say everyone gets the bug after they get one? Luckily I did not have the cash until a few years later & then I found I was happy with just one. If I'd had plenty of $ I think I might have ended up with Sleeves! Not something that would have looked good in my wedding dress. Now I think tats are cool if they accent your body but I feel that if you have too many they become a focus & distract from You. Know what I mean? That is of course just my personal opinion. If anyone here has a dress tattood on them or permanant pants please don't be insulted.

Oh, I forgot, happy & grateful...lol. This morning I am so grateful that my bf is so cool that when I forced him to get out of bed at 6:15 to come down to the beach just because I thought the light looked really eerie & there were four schools of dolphins cavorting he just smiled & kissed me instead of being irritated as heck that he was missing a half hour of sleep. He's soooo mellow!

LMAO If I did that to my husband he'd probably find the closest thing he could stab me in the eye with. No, not really of course, but he is surly if you wake him up and it is not a chance I'll ever be willing to make. (imagine me in the future going into labor and taking the bus instead of waking him up *LOL*)

I am with you on the tats. If I were reliving it, I would have been more stubborn and held off to get the exact tattoo that I wanted. While I do love my big ol lizard - what I really wanted was for him to be on my foot, with his tail wrapping around my anklebone. Aparently CA does not allow tattoos on hands and feet, so I settled for my ankle instead. I definately want more. I would love to get something celtic looking, but I am indecisive and my husband is really disapproving of tattoos (why does that make me want one more? *LOL*)

I am grateful that today is FRIDAY! End of the week. I can definately tell when the full moon starts adjusting peoples moods (and sadly, not in a good way). Also I'll be getting a little time to myself this weekend, which I am always happy to have!

I'm grateful for enlightenment in strange places. And happy to be getting a whole day off tomorrow to spend with my aunt and cousin, I never get to see them and they are the only family I have left now.

btw - ferret, that tat is awesome. I loved it. I also really liked the star. I want to get some stars added to my tribal, but since my hubby frowns upon them, I have to wait til he's not looking and I have some extra hidey money. *LOL*

I am happy because I had a job interview on Weds and I think it went really well. I should hear back from them today, if not the weekend, so the anticipation is killing me... but I still am very hopeful.
We'll see how grateful I am after I hear the answer. *LOL* I am however grateful at least that another week of suffering at the job I'm at now is coming to an end, yay friday!

That butterfly celtic tat IS very pretty! I'm grateful today that we have the most lovely cool weather here in Virginia! I can't believe it's August, it feels like September. I'm grateful that my classes went well this week. and very, very grateful that things are still going so well with Nate! I've never had a relationship that did not feel like quite a lot of Work, this one does not feel like it at all!

I am VERY grateful that I did in fact get the job!!!!!!

I am however saddened that because of my current employers track record of firing people when they give notice, I cannot do the morally right thing and notify them without going 10 days at least with no pay. I'm really kind of burdened by this, but I gotta cover my own *** first. I hate to quit with no notice. *sigh*

But I'm still gonna celebrate over my getting the new position!

congrats on the job!!! I know how that giving notice thing can be...especially hard when it comes to a job that easily lets go of people who put in a notice (you'd think they'd rather know in advance...kinda setting themselves up for lots of no shows and such)

anyways i'm thankful for getting up early today...ok not really but i am thankful for my coffee right about now

Just feeling grateful today and thought I would dig this thread out of the closet.
I am so lucky to have a great husband who loves me and all my quirks, two great kids, I have a home, car, food, all the essentials of life , unlike so many people around the world whoa re doing without, and have lost everything including family memebers. My heart goes out to all.

I am thankful for the friends I have made and those that I have kept over the years.

I am grateful that my aunt made it back here safely after her trip to Portland.
