The Happy and Grateful Thread

This thread idea was originally started by ellis - it is such a good one that I thought it would be nice to start a new one :D

I am happy and grateful for having a wonderful and supportive husband who came up to me as I started eating some Reese's Pieces and put his hand out, looked me square in the eye and said "you're 2 pounds from goal right?"

I said nothing and handed him the bag of candy......

Love that man o' mine!

Oh, Mauvais! That is the sweetest thing! :)

I'm happy and grateful that I managed to kill an enormous house fly in my kitchen this morning. (why the heck are they called "house flies", anyhow?!) It was in the window amongst a lot of precious blue glass pieces, and I couldn't hit it, so I carefully selected what I thought was the most potent weapon... a spray bottle of Scrub Free Bathroom Cleaner with Bleach!. A cruel, but quick death.

I'm also REALLY grateful that, despite the fact that I slept in until 8:30 this morning, the rest of the family is still asleep, and I can enjoy my coffee in peace. That's the family that I'm otherwise SO grateful for. :D

Thanks for starting this back up, Mauvais. :)

I am happy and grateful for a beautiful summer morning :sunny: I am currently enjoying the view from my office window and can see out across to Quebec- the Gatineau Hills are beautiful! :D

I am happy and grateful for my loving Lucy who is curled up at my feet.

I am happy to have a helpful and sweet family who goes overboard with their helpfulness and is very generous even when they do not have much money to go around.
I am also very grateful to have a husband who works with me and is helpful and takes care of me when I am sick. Also, while I'm at it I'm pretty grateful not to be sick anymore! :)

I'm happy because my new kitchen appliances are arriving today, and we're renovating the kitchen!
And I'm grateful that my relationship with my Mom isn't going TOO badly since Dad died.
And that when I went to the bank to pay the mortgage yesterday, they told me it'd already gone through, so I have more money in my account than I thought! :)

I'm happy and grateful for this lovely fall day which had just the right balance of things in it: church and great coffee afterwards, a visit to my grand puppies, a simple lunch, energy and enthusiasm to do a few hours of kitchen work and time to read on the back deck with Hershey and Harry.

I'm greatful for another day that I can start my wlp over again.

Mostly I am greatful that I have Jesus.

I'm grateful that my dh didn't grumble this morning when I left him with the kids (all 3 awake already) to go for a run at 6:40am.

I'm happy to be 2lbs away from the upper limit of my goal weight range (127 this am) and to feel so much stronger and fitter while running.

I would, however, kill my dh if he ever tried to take chocolate away from me.

And I'm happy that I'm going to have Mauvais for a neighbour!
Speaking of which (and I know this doesn't interest you right now, but you can file it for future reference :lol3: ), I can tell you how to get rid of the grass that's coming through your patio stones. Without using chemicals. Boiling water. Seriously. Boil the kettle, and then dribble the water over wherever the weeds are coming through. Kills 'em. I do mine about once a month, and it works really well.
In fact, I even use my saved boiled vegetable or pasta water, and recycle it while it's hot!

I am very grateful that the only thing hurt in my accident was my car.

I am happy and grateful my mom, sis#2, and nephew came to visit & check on me.

I am also grateful for cold medicine!

Mauvais and Ellis do you guys live in Ottawa?

I am happy and grateful that I am strong :strong:..At work today I was able to save a LOT of time putting shelves down a notch at the library where I worked, without having to take ALL the books off the shelf !! The reason I am strong is because I am healthy  , I am GRATEFUL for that health ...
