Talking Cute is on it's way out!

I looked around and realized I had too many CUTE things like little teddy bears and dreamsicle angels around my house.

I was never able to get rid of them before because of course they are so very CUTE.

But the other day something came over me and I decided to get rid of a lot of the CUTE stuff.

I did it quickly before I changed my mind.

I have no regrets. My house looks a lot more streamlined and it looks like it is a place where Grown Ups live!

Cute was then - streamlined is now!

Streamlined... I like that word. Sounds elegant yet cool.

I haven't been able to "fling" lately...but mentally I have really wanted too!! I want to severly reduce my household intake down to ½ of what it is now. I want it to look like I actually have the size house I have...not a dinky house. Guess it's time to get off the old noodle and get busy!!

But I am!! I finally pulled out the last front stitch (dont worry...it was overdue to come out...I was just being chicken and letting it hang around) so I can do some stuff now. The Doc said to do whats within my limits...so I got the cleaning/get-rid-of-crap bug again. And the tennis bug...swimming bug...I've been sitting around here for too long going nuts!! Lemme out!!!

You know, people think it's great that we have two (three, if you include the one in our tenant's apt) claw-footed tubs. What they don't appreciate is trying to clean underneath them. You tend to forget about it until you lie down on the floor and take a good look under there. God, it's ugly. Found a couple of facecloths that must have been there for at least a year. And some soap and a few Bics. And the dust... let's not go there.

I'm being a good girl. So far all I've done is sleep then did a load of wash. Thrilling huh... I am debating on what to do next..I got alot of junk I want to purge before next Tuesday. That's when those donation people come by and pick up stuff on our block. They love my house! I always leave them a bag full of goodies. This time I'd like to leave them sidewalk full of goodies.
