  • Ruth, you're such a freakin' hoot. What would I do without you.
  • (((Ellis)))
I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this. I am praying for you and your dad and all of his loved ones.
  • Thank you so much, Sojo. Your prayers mean a lot.
  • Aww Ellis! I am sending you a big cyber hug!!! Cry often.

When my dad had a brain anyerism (and two subsequent brain surgeries) I didn't cry a single drop! Then, a couple months later my dog became paralyzed and a bawled like a freakin' baby! I realized it was pent up anger about my dad's anyerism.

My dog (and my dad) are fine. My dad went on to marry a girl half his age and my dog is a maniac again.

    >>>HUGS<<<< Lots of love your way.
  • Thank you, Jessica. I love your story.
  • ((((((((Ellis)))))))))))))

I love my old dad too. Hope things go well.

    Miss Chris
  • All my thoughts, love and prayers are with you, my dad is in treatment for lymphoma right now and not doing real well so I know it is hard to fathom.

    Hugs to you Ellis,
    Amy
  • Thank you, Chris.
I just spoke to my sweet old Dad on the phone. He doesn't know I'm going to be at the hospital tomorrow. He says he doesn't like people to fuss, but he really gets a lot of pleasure out of seeing that we actually care about him.
I told him I'd be thinking about him tomorrow, and he said, "Oh, it's nothing. Just an interview." Stanch, stiff upper lipped Brit.

I'll let you know the news tomorrow night. If it's good, party at my place. If it's bad, party at my place.
    xoxo ellis
  • I'm sorry sweet Amy... I missed your post. Thank you, and love and prayers for you and your Dad too.
  • I missed posting this morning. I wanted to wish you luck Mauvais BEFORE your tests. I hope they went well!!!
  • Thanks Squeak!

I think they went pretty well but I won't know the results for 2 weeks

How is your dad doing Ellis?
  • Hi girls! I just got back from the hospital. Dad was surprised, but glad to see me there when he got out.
So the specialist said that everything LOOKS fine but that he's going to send the test results to ANOTHER specialist just to ensure that he hasn't missed anything.
    Very anti-climactic. I'm drained.
Thank you so much for your love and support... it meant/means so very much to me.
I guess I'll let you know in about two weeks time if he's on his death-bed.
    love and hugs to all...
  • I'm sure the specialist was right. He's just covering his butt by getting another opinion.
    Party? What time?
  • Thanks, Ruth. I'm sure you're right. When you're prepared for death vs life, iffy just doesn't cut it.
Did I say "party" if it was iffy? Oh, what the ****! Warmer weather... whisky in the garden!
  • I am glad everything went well Ellis! Where is the party? I wanna come too.
