Virginia ~ just be proud of yourself, of your accomplishments day by day. Some people are never able to overcome addictions, be proud of everyday of your sobriety and that you have someone (bunches of someones) to sound off to and to listen and support you. You made your first step, your second should be to realize that you are very special and find reasons everyday to praise yourself and not tear yourself down.

No where to really stick this so I will put it here -

Here is one of those stupid things men say...

I was visting the boy on Friday, and I said something about having to dye my hair again. It is really a med. brown color - but I dye it red/auburn. And it doesn't look bad as it is growning back, but seeing my roots bothers me.

He, really trying to be nice/helpful, says "I like your hair the way it is now. It is like 3 different colors. It looks cool." Gee. thanks. Like I wanted to hear that. But he really was trying to be nice, so I didn't yell at him. I told my sister what he said and she just started laughing at me. Then while cutting my hair, kept commenting on the various shades.

My roots are brown, the rest is red, then I have lighter highlights, probably just from the sun.

GRR......

Thank you, Squeak! I had a lovely day in bed. Read 2 entire books. I was brought breakfast and lunch in bed. Unfortunately I seem to have gained about 3 pounds due to lack of exercise. damn.
