Glad to hear she is feeling a bit better. You know, not having to worry about meals is REALLY helpful when things like this are going on. It is really nice of you to look out for them like that.
Yes, supplying ready cooked food is a great idea. That will be a real help to the family. I usually make a big pot of stew or soup that can be ladled out and rheated in the micro. Chili is good too.
HEY CHICKIES!!!
I want to ask you to send out some positive vibes for my sister tomorrow, when she is having a hysterectomy. Nothing life-threatening, just that I worry whenever surgery and aenesthesia is involved.
Den, hugs and prayers for your sister tomorrow. ANY surgery causes anxiety... we'll be thinking about you. AND she'll be getting baby-baby soon, won't she?!
xoxo
Squeak, how is your friend and her family doing? Thinking of them. Hugs, hon...
Den, how's your sister, sweetie? Let us know how she's feeling when she comes out...
Just wanted to give you an update on Monique. (cancer... lumps in brain and on both lungs)
I don't want to be too optimistic, but she's been getting radiation and chemo, and yesterday her husband told us that the cancer is shrinking slightly in her brain and significantly on her lungs!
Keep her in your thoughts if you would, girls! Thank you!
My sister made it through the surgery just fine. I heard the news third hand, so I don't know what it all means, but they took her ovaries too. I'm a little perplexed by this since this was (I THOUGHT) an elective (kinda) hysterectomy. I know she had some problems with endometriosis, so maybe that is why. SO, still a bit aprehensive, but less so.....
Sending Monique & you some healing thoughts Ellis.
Jude is doing ok. She is suppose to be out of work for 6 weeks, but got the doctor to say 4. I think she is itching to come back as soon as possible. And while I adore her, I would be happier if she stayed home. I just dont want her back before she should be. Her husband should be out of the hospital by this weekend I think.
