cals-1610(330), ex-3 mile walk in the park.

Renee-Did you use a hammer again? Were the nuts from your own tree? I wish I could keep my wine calories to one glass. One always leads to two. I am getting much better with it though. Maybe one day I will be able to stop at one.

Tonight I am going to decorate our tree. I have been putting this off for days for some reason. It will be nice when the work is done and I can just sit back and enjoy it.

Tera - yes I used a hammer to crack them and wire clippers to pop out the nut pieces. We have many walnut trees. I don't think I have ever seen so many nuts as this year. The squirrels must be happy!
We have lots of local wineries that make great wine. I like mine on the sweeter side.
Didn't put the tree up yet. I will wait another week till my husband has off and we can go cut one.

Yesterday
B - oatmeal with banana
L - brunch buffet
S - grapes
D - ziti and stringbeans

cals-1830 (160), Ex. strength class at the Y. Another good day behind me. It is getting easier to maintain my diet but I wish the results were better. I am happy about wearing a smaller size again but it is a bit on the tight side. The next size up is too loose now. The trip I was trying to get in shape for is this coming weekend. Now I just have to concentrate on not gaining a bunch while on vacation and then returning to bad habits. Also, sometimes I go crazy the night before a trip-like pre vacay or something. I hope to avoid that this week.

Renee-Hammers and wire cutters-how efficient. You are going to put the nut utensil people out of business. That sounds like a lot of work but well worth it. Nuts are pricey but so delicious. I eat them every day. About 30 years ago, my husband and I went to an area where it was allowed to cut your own tree. When we got it home we couldn't fit it in the door! We switched to artificial long ago.

Tera - you might not be losing weight, but I'll bet you're gaining muscle tone. Seems like we lost Dee. Hope all is ok. We are having beautiful weather here for December. We're trying to get some last minute things done outside. I think today we are cleaning leaves out of the gutters.

Yesterday
B - oatmeal with banana
S - graham crackers
L - chicken soup and sandwich
S - grapes
D - beef roast and veggies

cals-1600 (160), ex-strength class at the Y.

I haven't left by any means. I still have 8 pounds to lose! Plus, then I have to maintain it. I just missed yesterday because I had a terrible, no good day at work. No point dwelling on it but there are still many unhappy days ahead. Anyway, I am trying to be brave and take things one day at a time. Most important though I cannot let it get in the way of my health like I did last summer. I have to make taking care of my weight and fitness a priority. I had some high blood pressure readings last summer and I have to keep that in mind as I traverse all these bad situations at work. I am hoping losing weight will allow me to handle the stress better.

Hopefully Dee and Corrine will come back. It is a very busy time of year. I miss them also.

Anyway, I am here for the long haul unless you get tired of posting here. Who knows, maybe someone will join us?

Hello Chicks!

I hope you all are doing fine. I have been out of control with my eating habits. I bet I have gained 30 lbs. Really. So much new foods to see, try, and it is every where I look. No scale in a hotel, but I am sure it is pretty close. My big clothes are getting tight too. Ugh! I have quite a bit of work to get my weight back down in the New Year.

House closing was suppose to be this Wednesday, but now has been moved to maybe sometime next week. Yes it really is crazy. Anyway, I hope to get settled somewhere soon.

I miss chatting with you all.

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

MERRY Christmas girls
I haven't been posting because my eye retina gel has torn. There is no treatment for it until it becomes severe enough for surgery or it detaches from my eye, making me go blind

There is a small chance that the tear will seal by itself & I'll be able to see, keeping my vision. But as a older adult my chances are low & I'm ashamed to admit I'm the victim of domestic violence getting slapped in my head many times.

All I want & need for Christmas is my eye retina to be healed. If any of you have a few seconds to add me to your daily prayers, please pray for my eyes for my retina gel tear to seal itself so I don't go blind.

I hope that everyone receives the weight loss they want before 2016 begins

With much Luv & many Blessings to you'all Dee

Oh my gosh Dee-I am so sorry to hear about your eye injury. Of course, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Corrina-Hang in there on the move. You are almost there. So you are getting a new home for Christmas. Cool!

I am not doing so well with my weight. Too much fun and too many goodies. I don't see any improvement in the next few days though.

cals-2265(855), ex-strength class at the Y. I am back at it. Hopefully it will not take me three months to lose the 3 new pounds I gained this holiday. It is not even over yet. Today is my wedding anniversary-36 years!
