Renee-your keeping that weight off, good for you. This week I bet that scale will lower some for you. With all that work, your bound to lose a pound or two.

Jude-your doing good! You got rid of the water weight. I bet you feel a bit better too. Now to lose the rest of the extra weight. Keep chugging along like a steady train and you will eventually reach your goal.

Today I did pretty good. Breakfast was a Chia drink. Lunch was a Subway sandwich. Supper was rice, tofu, cauliflower, and peas in an Indian curry sauce. Only I had two bowls of it. I am stuffed. (My stomach is shrinking. I need to make sure I keep it that way).

I am proud of some of the progress I am making in will power though. My husband asked me to go to the store twice today and get some goodies. Both times I declined. I know I would have no will power if I go there, so better off not going. Now I just need to build up my will power when I am in the store. :)

Breakfast today was a vitamin drink.
Lunch was a veggie sub.
Supper was Chinese noodles and vegetables.
One yogurt covered sesame snack.
One berry yogurt cup.

Walked this morning and afternoon. Also mowed grass.

A little heavy on the food today. I will need to lighten up tomorrow.

Sounds like you're doing good Corinna. We baled more hay yesterday and I really got a work-out. I'm stiff and sore...today will be easier. Stayed away from all snacking yesterday. Tonight I'm making beef fried rice with veggies.

You are really staying fit Renee! That is good.

I had a down day today. I ate a lot of different foods. I don't know why I ate so much today. I just did. I will try harder tomorrow.

Please stay focused Corinna! We can do this!!!!!!

Hello ladies, I have been off for a few days, things have been so hectic and I am trying to get ready to go off for a small road trip - leaving tomorrow morning.

So busy in fact that other than a small handful of roasted walnuts at 9am yesterday, I forgot about eating until 4pm!! This is not a good thing, because when I finally realized I was hungry, I was ravenous, but did manage to stay on plan, even though I ate more than I should have (I am doing low carb). I wish I could always just not think about any food except for my mealtimes.

Corinna - Please don't let one day get you down. You had such a great week last week losing 3.5 lbs! You can continue on from here for more great weeks.

I have been finding it a little easier to not give in to bad habits by forcing myself to look at everything I have to do with food as a choice, and asking myself if it is something I want or something I choose(knowing the consequences). Seems to help me make a better choice instead of giving in to wants. Hope this makes sense to you.

Renee - Good for you, snacking can be a real pitfall, and it always seems to be so easy and convenient for some reason. Sounds like you are getting a good workout with the hay, I got a real good one yesterday too, helping my daughter move a bunch of furniture at her place - worked up a good sweat!!

I won't be weighing in on Saturday, we will be somewhere in Washington State - going to do some hiking on the coast. We leave very early tomorrow morning, so if I get a chance (and remember that early) I will weigh tomorrow, and again when I get back on the 7th Sept. I will check in if we have access to the internet.

Until next time, everyone be strong, and good choices for all
Jude

Have a wonderful trip, Jude! Check in when you can.....

Renee3 08-29-2013 06:46 PM

I was very bad today :( Had some Cheetos for a snack........

Corinna T 08-30-2013 06:05 AM

Jude-wishing you a great trip! Have fun.

Renee-Cheetos, my oh my, I hope I am not setting a bad example for you. I had a bad day and now you are on the verge too. Hopefully your Cheetos bag was the mini size and not the family size. :) Lets try real hard this week to get back on track, ok? We can skip weigh in tomorrow, if you like, and shoot for next Saturday to log our success. Sound like a plan for now?

Actually I had a few bad days. However, with a little soul searching, I was able to determine why, and I believe I am ready to get back on track again.

Renee3 08-30-2013 06:12 AM

I think I will weigh in on Saturday...I need to see the number...that will help me get back on track. I will eat much better today.....

Renee3 08-31-2013 06:29 AM

Not as bad as I thought it would be...stayed the same. This week will be better...I will stay focused! Only healthy snacking and watching my portion size. Hope the scale smiled at you, Corinna :)

Corinna T 09-01-2013 12:24 AM

Lol, my scale waved its finger at me and said don't even try, I don't even want to see the results.

Glad to hear you didn't gain any Renee! Now to just tackle one last holiday of summer...Labor Day. Big for picnics and family/friends gathering. Then it will be a good stretch until Thanksgiving.

I think we can do this Renee and stay focused. Luckily my vitamin drink is not too bad as long as a I add about a 1/2 teaspoon of berries for flavoring. It seems like it helps curb some of the hunger pains.

Today is a beautiful day. I am so glad to be alive! Thank you God for that gift. Thank you my friends for your support during our weight loss journey together. Hope you all have a wonderful day too. Smile, with love. :)

Renee3 09-01-2013 07:43 PM

Thank you, Corinna, for all your support.....I'm glad to have someone to help me through this time of my life. Someone who understands how hard it can be to lose weight at an older age. WE WILL DO THIS!!!!!!!

Corinna T 09-04-2013 06:38 AM

Yes, we will. It takes baby steps but they all add up. It really is about changing our lifestyle of eating regarding choices and portion sizes. It is so easy to talk about but much harder to live it out. I think once it becomes a habit, then it becomes easy. Yes a good habit rather than bad. :)
