You can do it, Jude...one day at a time!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Corinna T 08-19-2013 05:01 AM

Today I did okay. Started with a vitamin drink for breakfast. Lunch I had Banana Chia drink. I drank about 80% of that before my body said enough. :) Tonight I had some seeded wheat bread with red peppers and hummus. My goal for today was to eat very lightly. I can't believe how much my stomach is sticking out these days. Ugh! I need to work on it.

You did really good yesterday. Belly fat is the hardest to lose as you get older. I have the same problem :( I was bad yesterday and had a few potato chips....I was craving something salty. I will do better today!

Corinna T 08-20-2013 06:34 AM

Renee--Potato Chips !!! Yumm Yumm. With all the work you do, your body was probably craving the salt. Hope you didn't eat too many though. I tend to eat until I see the bottom of the bag.

Today I had a vitamin mix drink for breakfast with a slice of raisin toast for breakfast. I had a couple more vitamin drinks for lunch and the mid afternoon. For supper I had some cous cous with vegetables, and later some hummus with celery. So far so good. :)

Jude-I hope your doing good too.

Corinna T 08-21-2013 05:22 AM

Today was good. I had 3 vitamin mix drinks and a taco salad for supper. I am feeling better that I am sticking to my goal. I hope it pays off this weekend. I still have a big belly but I think in time it will shrink. Of course some sit ups would help. Maybe I will do a few tonight.

How are you ladies doing?

Jude- I like your pansy flower. Very pretty. Hey, I just noticed that we all 3 have flowers. :) We are all blooming into something beautiful with our diets!

Renee3 08-21-2013 06:31 AM

Corinna, you are doing great this week :) I did good yesterday. No cheating. I was away at the local fair in the morning. I am a horticulture and rabbit judge, and I judged the floral specimens and arrangements yesterday morning. Tonight I judge the rabbits. My husband wants to eat supper at the fair, so I'll have to be careful of my choices.

Corinna T 08-22-2013 06:15 AM

You're doing good Renee. Hope you found something healthy to eat at the fair. Maybe they had some corn on the cob. I guess the real trick is just to remember your portions.

You are having a lot of fun this summer. :) I love rabbits. They are so adorable. Hope you had a great day at the fair and the judging.

Hey Jude, how are you? What have you been up to lately?

Renee3 08-22-2013 09:18 AM

Had a nice time at the fair...only had a hamburger :)

Hello Ladies,
I have been quiet for a few days, not having a good week last week. I was holding so much water that I was getting really discouraged, and spent a few days of pity party eating pretty much whatever.

The last few days have been much better, I have been on track with my eating plan, drinking a LOT of dandelion tea to get rid of the water, and have started walking and doing situps - only 10 situps in the morning so far, but can I ever feel it! The dandelion tea is working well, my weight this morning was 217 - up a pound from where I was, but I think I may still have a bit of water weight to go, so I will change my official weigh in day to Saturday to coincide with you all.

Corinna - Good job staying on track - I thought the flower was a much better fit here.

Renee - You are such a busy lady, good for you not cheating at the fair. I know how you feel - this afternoon I am taking my 3 yr old granddaughter over to the local fringe theatre festival, and there are a lot of street food vendors so I will have to be on my guard

Off to brew my dandelion tea
Jude

Jude, how do you make your dandelion tea? From fresh or dried leaves or flowers? I've made fresh mint tea, but never tried dandelion tea.

jollyjude 08-22-2013 10:25 PM

Renee - I used dried dandelion leaves that I got at the health food store, about 3 big spoonsful to a teapot. Tastes kind of grassy. If you don't care for the taste, you could add some mint with it. Worked really well as a diuretic for me.

Renee3 08-23-2013 06:17 AM

Thanks Jude....I just might try it....have a great day!

Corinna T 08-23-2013 11:37 PM

Good day to you all. Guess what?!?!! I am down 3.5 lbs this week. Yippee!!!! Starting to make some progress now. That is even after eating 2 full meals yesterday. I have been cutting down on my portion sizes and that is helping. Breakfast was a vitamin drink. For lunch it was mac & cheese, tomatoes and zucchini, and corn. Supper was a veggie fajita.

Hope you both do good this week too.

Renee3 08-24-2013 06:24 AM

Good for you , Corinna!!!!!!! That's wonderful!!!!! I stayed the same, but at least I didn't gain. I will do better this week! We are baling hay today and tomorrow, so I will be outside most of the time and away from any snacks :) Have a great weekend everyone!

jollyjude 08-24-2013 09:08 PM

Corinna - Yay, you are doing really good!! Sounds like you are really sticking with the plan and it is paying off:carrot:

Renee - I am finally back down to 216.0, where I was before all the water gain, so I will be starting out again from here. I know we can make this a really good week for all of us!

Jude
