Morning ladies,

Lynn, thanks for the tip on the nighttime snack!

Bobbi, I am your neighbor to the west - I am in SD, btw.

I bought one of those exercise balls (never did get the pedometer set) and I hope to start working with that. Not too sure about it but I think it might be fun!

How often do you weigh yourself? I am trying hard not to step on the scale but maybe once a week. ???

Oh, and you can call me Cindy.

Good morning everybody,

Bobbi,
Thank you for noticing my weight loss. Congratulations to you too. Your doing great!!

Eia Wa, I hope you've found your way around. It does make for some interesting reading.
Karen31, Loved your pictures of the fox with her babies. I'm glad you shared them. She sure was brave to be out in the open like that with her babies. She must trust you. Always a good feeling when a mother trusts you with her babies.
Susann, Good luck selling your home. I always dislike the having to keep your house in top shape everyday, all day. It's like your going through a military inspection. My friends would tell me to lighten up.
Lynn, Thanks for the information. I signed up. The recipes sound good.
Way2Fluffy, Congratulations on losing 20 lb.

My DIL is having problems with her pregnancy, so I'm on edge trying to keep their spirits up. My poor son looks so devastated. They are seeing a doctor today to find out what to do next.
The weather is good today, so I'll be going for a walk and then staying close to the phone.

Hi everyone. Just spent the last half hour catching up on the thread. I've been MIA because of missing my little grandson. A bit depressed missing him but I'm over that now and started exercising again. Must go and update my Accountability post. I'm way behind but I can do today.

Nice to meet you Eia Wa. Where do you hail from?

Cindy, I try to weigh every Saturday morning but skipped this week. I usually don't skip a week though.

Bobbi, thanks for the PM. It's nice to know I was missed.

I've got to get on the ball because I've got a wedding outfit to fit into and buy and I want to look great on DS's big day.

Oh, and you can call me Cindy.
Hi Cindy, I weigh every day. I use a software program that helps me keep track of all my weight and nutritional and exercise data.

Hi Jada, I think you will enjoy the Weekly Menus. Sorry to hear about your DIL. Hope all works out.

Hi Isabella, HAPPY to see you back. Sorry you are missing your grandson. The exercise will help – always makes me feel less depressed.

Weather here is cold and rainy and dreary. It is paper-grading day for me. Maybe I’ll take a break mid-day and go to gym for a water exercise class.
Check back later,
Lynn

Good Morning Girls!
Lynn...just think, 1/2 pound and you'll be in the 140's!
Good for you, keep up the great work. Where is that web site you belong to that sends you daily menus?
Mary...I know you don't post on this site, only on the 'Accountability' but I see you've lost 2.5 pounds this month, congrats to you too.
We have to take our 17 year old grandson to a neighboring town for a last minute check-up before he has his jaw broken. His surgery is coming up at the end of the month and he's scared. He has braces on his teeth and the surgeon has to reset his receding jaw line so his teeth will line up properly. Tiffany has to work so we'll take him. I'm not sure what to do about lunch, we'll have to take him to a fast food place so he can eat on the way home. What can I eat? We never eat at fast food places so I don't have a clue what's on the menu anymore.
We had three days of rain and everything is greening up, the band on outside fire burning is lifted thank goodness. We have a ton of branch to burn. I'm off to get ready for errands in town before we pick up Damian, catch ya all later. Have a great day.

Good morning everybody,
I'm staying OP. My DIL has bleeding behind the placenta, but the baby is fine. It's a dance trying to be supportive and giving them their space at the same time. I'm sorry Bobbi about your GS, his jaw must be in pain. I hope he's better very soon. Isabella, I'm glad your feeling better about GS.
Today I'm going to research getting a cell phone, with both sons expecting a child soon, so I'm not having to stick by the phone. Hugs to all, Jada

Hello all,

Hanging in there. Not doing the best diet/exercise wise. Struggling with the sleep problem (sleep apnea) so I often feel too tired to care to do the right things for my health.

Off to work tonight for the next three nights. I live for those days off. I can't wait until I can get to retire. Until then, I wish I could find some other job to do that even if I didn't love it ~ I wouldn't mind going to.

Just popping in to say hello. I visit here every day, but don't often have anything to tell. The above is why I don't write often. I don't want to be a downer to you all.

Hope you all are doing well.

Take care

Good morning,

I think I will weigh myself once a week, Wednesday. I weighed today. The pound I lost came back. I am not surprised but disappointed. I am having a tough time getting started. I think my cardio (walking) needs to be increased. I just don't know how to work in the time it takes. It's discouraging. I worked with my exercise ball a bit yesterday too. Sigh. I just want the weight loss to kick in already!

Good Morning,

I started a Book Discussion group - first meeting is today. Used an online group - Meet-up. I'll let you know how it goes.

Had a blood test this morning - she had to dig around in arm for a while & then gave up and finally got some in my hand. I had a bottle of water before the test, but I exercised. I'm think I might have gotten a little dehydrated. Was trying to get my blood sugar down so I wouldn't have a problem with the fasting. That's one of the problems with getting old and having all these health problems - one affects the other. Oh well - on to my book club.

Hi Bobbi,

I've been there on a few days this month. Got "bounced back up" on Easter/Birthday weekend. Hopefully, I can end the month in the 140's.

Good morning

Bobbi, Congratulations on losing close to 6 lbs
Lynn, Congratulations on being so close to your monthly goal I was excited to receive my first newsletter on menus. The chocolate covered strawberries sounded so good. The article was also interesting about chocolate.
Cindy, Stick with your plan, and the weight will eventually stop dropping. I get discouraged too, so I feel for you. Hang in there.
Gayle, Personally, I don't care if you share bad days. It takes my mind off my own problems I was a working girl, so I can relate to looking forward to retirement and/or finding a job with less stress.
Way2Fluffy, Enjoy the great spring weather!!

I watched Biggest Loser last night. It was a great show. I liked the idea of using Zip Lock steaming bags for cooking meat without having to use oil. My grocer doesn't have any, so I'll have to look around. I'll have to look on their web site to see what he was talking about when he was showing hot dogs and protein bars. I was daydreaming when that part came on. I'm glad Ron and Mike are doing well...they're such little cuties. Kristin sure got her jabs in when she got kicked off. She did great lasting as long as she did.
I tried on a pair of old shorts that didn't fit anymore. I was able to pull it together at the waist, but still too tight to wear.
Everybody have a great day and thanks for all the support. Love you all, Hugs, Jada

Hello chickies. Another good day for me so far although I haven't exercised yet. I just found out I can watch The Biggest Loser on one of my two channels. I didn't think they were airing it this season but they are and I only found out last week! So that's on tonight so I'll exercise on my bike while I watch.

Gayle, don't feel bad about griping on the thread. We're here for you. I couldn't wait to retire either. I was teaching grade 1 and those little kids had me just about worn out by the end of the day.

Has anyone tried the no knead bread that seems to be on every food blog for the last year? It takes all day, at least, to as much as 18 hours for it to rise and bake. I've made it a couple of times with varying degrees of success. The last time I made it I used part whole wheat flour and a little margarine. It's wonderfully crunchy on the outside but it was too chewy for my tastes. The margarine made it a little less chewy. I had the last hunk for supper with laughing cow cheese spread with a little jam. Yummy.

Jada, hope the babies will be born healthy. It's a worry isn't it until they are born.

Have a great day everyone.

Cindy, I use Leslie Sansome's in home walking videos. She incorporates strength training, kick boxing, walking, ab works, so much into her videos that in 30 minutes time you can have a great workout. If you switch it up and do different things on different days, then you work alot of different muscles.

You can go to www.half.com and get some really good buys on used dvd's and vhs videos.

Good luck, hope this helped a little bit.
