Good Morning Girls . . . It's a brand new work-week for those of you who still do. Hope it's a good one.
Looks like an instant replay of yesterday around here. Tell me again why I want all these little fur-covered cyclones living in my house? At least it's definitely not dull and boring. I've been up since 4:30 and I'm exhausted already. Boy I wish I had their energy. Looks like it will be a long day. Lots of errands to run today and it's already pretty warm and humid at 9 am. Might just have to plan a nap into my afternoon.
Cheryl . . . . . . Happy Anniversary (belated) I've got three gigantic litter pans and I use the silica based litter . . . just scoop out the brown lumps daily and stir the crystals . . . pretty much odour-free. About once a month I dump everything and replace the crystals.
Marsha . . . . . . Good for you, planning ahead is great for staying on track. Work up to the extra exercise gradually. It's easy to overdo it in the hot humid weather.
Here's another vegetable-related FFFF for today . . .
When you eat raw spinach, some of the vitamins and minerals pass unused through the human digestive system because we can't break down the vegetables tough cellular walls. Cooking solves this problem somewhat. The same is true for numerous other veggies too, such as carrots and tomatoes. It is something of a catch-22 situation of course. Increased absorption of vitamins and minerals at the cost of the loss of a bit of the 'fill-up without calories' effect of all that fibre.
Anyway, I hope everybody has great fun plans for today. See you later gang . . .

Hello everyone,
A beautiful day here. I hope it lasts more than an hour. I don't remember the weather ever changing so much as it is this summer.
Cheryl - Happy Anniversary! I'm glad to hear that you and your hubby spent a romantic day washing the side of your house!
Meowee - I didn't realise you had Bengals. My sister has two girls - littermates. They are about a year old and their antics sound a lot like what you're discribing.
Marsha - Have you been doing any exercise? Walking is usually a good starting place.
Have a great day everyone.
Talk soon,

Good morning ladies, my this weekend sure flew by. It was a good one tho
I lost the 3 lbs that I gained last week Now I really have to work hard to lose some more this week. It is only a week until our anniversary and I had hoped to be down to 140 by then. Maybe I should pretend that I'm moving well it seems to be working for Cheryl.
CHERYL: CONGRATULATIONS !!!! on your 4 lb loss, that is just super. I'm sure you are very anxious to get out to Oregon and take a look at the house, is it in the country as well ? that your hubby hears from them soon. Congrats too on your anniversary, that is a big accomplishment as well. Good luck on the job and house.
MARSHA: Glad to have you here. I know you will get lots of encouragement not only from those using WW but from all of us. Good Luck !
LINDA: Sounds like the kitties are in the "Terrible Toddler" stage. Thanks for the FFFF
they are informative and interesting. Keep them coming.
DENISE: I'm sorry to hear about your poor dad. I hope you let that hospital know how you felt. There is no reason to make an elderly person sit in a wheel chair for 6 hours.
We see a lot of sacro arthritis here in our office and it is very painful, I sure hope the meds can help and make him more comfortable. God bless you for being there.
HY: I hope your mom is getting along ok in the hospital. My prayers are with you.
My cousin sent me a quiz for "Older Kids". I thought I would share it with you but only a couple of questions at a time as there are 15 of them.
1. After the Lone Ranger saved the day and rode off into the sunset, the grateful citizens would ask,"Who was that masked man?" Invariably , someone would answer,"I don't know, but he left this behind." What did he leave behind ?
2. When the Beatles first came to the U. S. in early 1964, we all watched them on What show?
Some of you might be too young to know the answers and our friends in Canada might not know some of the shows this quiz is about, but feel free to play along, it's just for fun.
Have a wonderful day all of you and remember:
"In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can" Michael Korda

Hy - I hope things work out with your Mom.

Settie unfortunately yes I can believe it!!! But I am so sorry that your poor dad had to go through that experience - didn't he just have sugery too?
My mom spent some major time in the ER also, but they transferred her via ambulance to a much larger hospital in another city (2 hours away) - and because of the ambulance delivering her, she got "in" right away-The ER at the bigger hospital had a waiting list of 90 people right then. Unreal.
She did a major number and broke stuff so she's got a LONG recovery. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes for her

Good Morning . . .
Looks like I'm in the computer world again. Also looks like another nice day here in Atlantic Canada. Unfortunately, rain is in the forecast for tomorrow. Oh well, I guess this isn't Camelot.
Another FFFF for your enjoyment . . .
Some people actually polish their leather shoes with banana peels. Apparently the slippery skin conditions and shines shoes very nicely. What if shoes were actually made from banana peels. Would we call them slippers?
Anyway . . . got to get about my rounds. Other than that, nothing too exciting in my plans for the day. Trying to keep up with the "kitten kapers" will probably be challenging enough. Have a great day eveybody and I'll see you all later . . .

Good afternoon to all of you. It is so beautiful here today, cloudy and only 75 in mid afternoon. I LOVE it.
SHARON, I hope you will find us inspiring and helpful. We always enjoy new friends.
MARSHA: Congrats, you got the first 2 questions on the quiz correct AND you are the only one that did it, so I'm going to ask the next 2 questions.
HY: I hope your Mom is doing better, probably a good idea she had to be taken by professionals at least she got seen sooner. Hey thanks for the early anniversary wish, I'm sure we will have a great day, whatever we do.
DENISE: How is your Dad getting along with his back? I sure hope he is feeling better.
CHERYL: We all know that you are working way too hard. Any news yet?Keeping for you and hubby that things go the way you want them to.
MEOWEE: Hope you are having a wonderful day even if you are getting rain.
OK, here's the next 2 questions in the "Old Kids" quiz
3. "Get your kicks,_________________________"
4. "The story you are about to see is true. The names have
been changed to WHAT ?
Not much happening around here. I did do some exercises yesterday and got a mile in on the treadmill. Hope to go for a walk outside this evening since it is so cool and nice.
Fixed a lovely lunch today, we had cold salmon with crackers and a salad of fresh
tomatoes and cucumbers in Light Ranch dressing. Today is the first day of our Farmer's Market so want to go to it and get some goodies. Of course I'd love to get sweet corn but not sure it is ready yet.I'm going to fix some eggplant for supper, I've never had it so hope it turns out. I'm baking it with some onion and tomatoes with Italian seasoning and then it is covered with shredded Cheddar cheese. Wish me luck ! Have a good evening.
