One, if you are working out then you may be building muscle and that will screw up the numbers on the scales a bit - meaning that you may be losing inches and gaining muscle (and muscle is heavier in weight than fat) so your scales will just sit there at the same number...for awhile anyway.
Hope this helps a bit! Hugs

Thresea: I agree with Hy on this. I haven't moved the scale for 3 weeks again, but I did get brave and take my measurments and I have lost a total of 4.75 inches. I knew my clothes fit better but I was really surprised. Keep up the good work you will see results on the scale soon. Donna

Hello, Just wanted to give you all hugs
Sometimes all we need is a hug and a word of wisdom and kindness. I feel better today.
walked 1 mile and will go to Curves in 1 hr.
Just have to forget the scale for a few weeks. I know I am eating correctly. And working out dailey. Thats the most I can do.

Hi Ladies...Computer is still slow as ever and works when it wants too. Hubby needs to get it in for repairs, but hates to part with it.
Very stressful week with the FD, and I go back to my old habit of eating. I'm up 2.6 lbs and I hope to do better next week. We asked that the FD be removed from our home ASAP. I just can't deal with her anymore, and it is effecting my health.
HY...Congrats on your wonderful loss.
Theresa...Great job getting your walking and workout at curves in.
Donna...I'm soooooooooooooo happy! Spring has arrived and almost all of the snow is gone. Saw a pair of bald eagles on my way to church on Sunday and today the black birds are back. Feels great to be able to get out and go for a walk.
I'll try to check in with you all tomorrow before I leave for the weekend. Going to a quilt retreat, and I can't wait for a little relaxation with my sewing buddies.

Hi everyone. I have been out of touch. Still struggling with my sleep issues but think I am getting it figured out. I am hoping to get my hormones all balancee and that should do the trick. Just taking time that is all. I have been do pretty well with my food but that odd slip keeps me from losing. I know I will feel better when I do better so trying to keep that in mind. I hate listening to myself whine.
Hope to have lost some weight by this Monday which is when I weigh in. I invited a friend to the gym with me on Sunday and she accepted so I will be getting to the gym one day for sure.
Take care everyone. Hope you are all having a good day. Cheryl have fun at your quilting retreat.
Hy thanks for the info about your thyroid. I think my problem is linked in with this hormone thing.
hugs.....Jude

Teresa...Congrats on your 4 pounds for the month. Great Job!!!
Jude...Good for you planning a workout at the gym. Hope you and your friend have fun breaking a sweat.
I'm just about packed for my weekend away. Going to TRY real hard and be good. Got my veggies, apples, FF dressing and Low fat caramel dip ready to go. Now to have the willpower to keep my fingers busy at the sewing machine and not in the mixed nuts/MM bowl! Have a GREAT weekend.

My gosh, I can't believe it is Friday again. This week just seemed to fly by.
Sounds like everyone has been busy and working hard.
CHERYL: You probably won't read this until you get back from you weekend retreat. I hope you had a chance to relax and enjoy yourself. You have had quite a time with the FD. Maybe once she is gone you will be able to destress your life. You have given her every chance and so don't blame yourself.
THERESA: Great job, 4 pounds gone!! Remember all exercise counts even housework and yard work. You are doing great going to Curves and walking.
JUDE: Sure hope you can get your sleep problems fixed. It is hard to care about exercising or how you eat if you aren't getting good quality sleep.
Those darn hormones can really get screwed up and make our lives miserable. I know that things will get better for you and then you will get this weight loss plan going and you will do great. This is the best place to come and we don't think of it as whining, it's good to let off some steam once in awhile, I know, I do it pretty often here.
HY: How's it going with you ? Hope you are having a good week
My week has gone well. I've managed to either walk on the treadmill or do my strength training everyday. I feel so much better. Eating, well that might not have gone so good. Made DH brownies to take to his work for his birthday so they weren't around to tempt me, but I fixed him a special supper that was a German dish he loves and it has tons of calories and fat in it. I'm trying to eat mini meals and eat more often, it's kind of hard when you work but I'm managing to find things I can grab on the run. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and can get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

Sorry about being MIA! "Stuff" as usual, details of which I will NOT bore you with (but just this time only - otherwise, watch out cause here come those boring stories - lol -)
I lost another 2 pounds this past week - woohoo. I'm doing the SBD (South Beach Diet) beginning phase and today is day 26. I'm doing fine, nothing exciting but I prefer my eating/food not to be exciting. Keeping it simple helps **me** stay on the plan and be able to have the exact foods I need available (eggs, eggs and more eggs, lol! Just kidding) Too much variety, too much preparation, too much work are saboteurs for me.
I know others need more variety to stay on a program and that's why, as we've discussed here before, each person needs to work with the diet/program that works best for them The low-carb diet for me is something that works.
I have some new goals in mind for next month. Feb, my goal was to walk my dogs 30 mins, 5 days a week and I accomplished that goal. Mar, my goal was to do the dog-walk again for the month and also start the SBD...so far, so good :-) I'm thinking for April, I'll commit to another month of dog-walking, start Phase Two of SBD and add 20 mins of yoga 5 days a week. JUST FOR THE MONTH, rememeber!! Baby steps...
Love to see all the good reports here - what a great group of gals
Hugs,
Hy

Hi ladies. I too lost some weight this week and hit 225! I was happy with that. I am making weekly goals of 2 pounds. Sometimes it takes longer but when I hit that weight it is a goal reached. Next one is 223. I went walking on my lunch break and that was good. Body aches from this weight but that is too bad. I will need to wear some capri's tomorrow as I get to warm. They had a donut and coffee fund raiser today here at work and I went to just have the coffee but you know what happened. Don't you hate that. So will do better the rest of the day.
Hope everyone is well.....Jude

Hi Gals... Donna, Hy and Jude on your loss for the week. Will see what the scales have in store for me on Wednesday. I had a very nice weekend at the retreat, but came home Saturday afternoon. I finished my quilt top Saturday afternoon, had nothing else to work on and I'm not one to sit and just gab, so I decided to go home and spend sone quite time with my Hubby.
Can't tell you how nice it is to have the FD gone. The pain between my shoulder blades finally went away today. I cleaned the FD's room and started moving my sewing things back into that room. My sewing room now is going to be the room we will use once we get BOY'S. It's much bigger and will have room
for two twin beds, has a walk-in closet within a walk-in closet, and we will control the heat for the room.
I did pretty good eating wise at the retreat, but I did have my hands in the trail mix bowl a couple of times. The ladies talk about wanting to have healthy meals to eat and then bring the bad stuff to snack on. I had plenty of fresh broccoli, mushrooms and salad to eat, so I'm hoping the scales will show a loss.
Have a good night and I check in tomorrow.
Cheryl

Donna did you figure out how to move the tracker. Go to quick links and change it under signature and then copy that scribble and go to User CP back up at the top and find signature. past in the new signature. that should do it. It is a gorgeous day here in Vancouver. I hope to get out for a walk again today. I am soo tired though my eyes want to close. But back to work. Jude

Hi again
I am having a lousy day. Got a nasty email from my brother. He lives 300 miles away. Wasn't necessary. Family stuff is at the root of most weight issues and is mine for sure. He has never done that before. Sounded like my dad who was a monster. Hard to shake this off. Need a group hug!! Why does life have to be this hard. Jude

Jude...Sorry you are having a lousy day. Here's a big hug from me. Family can really be stinkers at times, just hang in there. We are here for you!!
I'm having a lousy day as well, I just can't seem to get my act together and stay on plan. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day and I go to weight watchers, know the scales will be up. All I can do is try to do better next week.
Later~
Cheryl
