Thank you for starting the new thread for us, gardenerjoy! I still like keeping to my usual goal of 10 lbs down for the month, but I'll be adding just a few extra ounces this month to see if I can get into Onederland! So, I'm going for a total of 10.6 lbs down this month. I struggled and just barely hit the 10 lb mark in December, so I am hoping that January will be a little bit easier without the holiday season interfering. Good luck in January, everyone!

Not sure exactly what my first month goal should be but i'm going to be conservative and make it 6lbs for this month. I'll weigh in tomorrow for my day 1. I'm thinking about trying the daily weigh in this month to see how I like it. Looking forward to being a part of this group!

Hello everyone - I'm back again. I hope to loose (and keep off) 5 lbs. I was at my heaviest mid Oct and I actually lost 10 lbs from that date but I gained 4 back. At least I didn't gain back all 10!!!
I'll set my weight loss goal one week from now on Jan 8th. I'm going to spend this first week getting back into the habit of logging my calories and sticking to a restricted calorie level.
I had a large whoosh in the wrong direction after taking yesterday off. My goal was to lose 6 lbs. in January but I added in the whoosh to make it -10.6 total.
Hi, everyone, and Happy New Year! I hope you all had a lovely holiday.
I've been traveling and wasn't able to track my weight during the last week or so of December. I didn't reach my December goal, but am happy that I was able to lose a couple of pounds, at least.
My goal is to lose 4-6 lbs/month over the next year and close in on my long-term goal (148 lbs) by the end of 2018. It's been a long time since I've weighed less than 160-170 lbs, so it's possible I'll hit a brick wall at some point... we'll see!

Please put me down for 10 lb this month.
I only lost 5 pounds last month but it was a steady loss each week all through the month of december so that is a big triumph for me in a way - to show a net loss in December.

My goal this year is to try to get my blood sugar under control. I am Type 2 diabetic and my blood sugar is something like 300 every morning even though I take a ton of metformin. It is pretty scary.
I have another doctor appointment in January.
My first weigh-in of the year was 209.4 today, so I am hoping that starting out in a new decade is a good omen for 2018, health-wise, and that I get to stay in this new range tomorrow, as well...lol. I hope everyone had a fun and safe NYE last night, or at least a nice night in like we did. We never actually do much other than order in pizza (I made a cauliflower pizza for myself but indulged in some of their cheese sticks) and drink a little cider (maybe some champagne or moscato, but we weren't feeling it this year even though we'd bought some) at midnight and watch the ball drop with the kids. Although, this was our first New Year away from the EST in several years, so it was odd trying to find a recording to watch instead of watching it live at midnight...lol. (We don't have cable, so we just watched a playback of the live feed on YouTube.) Still not used to the time zone switch, I guess!
