I know what you ment lolol. My husband was laughing as I typed that, my daughter said wellllllllllllllllllllllll. I of course had to poke her lol. lovn All of them I have are different. I can't really say a favorite because I do so many of them and switch off and on that I love them all. Right now, the express and the walk away the waist are my favorites. I really enjoy her toning vidoes too. |
Rainbow, yes, the spinach gets slimy but that is kind of minimized by the scrambled egg goodness. I guess you could add the spinach in at the last minute and it wouldn't be so bad, or just put the eggs on top of raw spinach. Either way it's a good combo.
Ok. I'm avoiding getting ready for this Dr. Appt. Praying that they don't make me do a bone marrow biopsy again because they always give me too much lidocaine and it makes your entire butt cheek numb. Oh well... at least I've made it this far! So far so good! Nearly 2 full years in remission - yippee!! I think I'm more frightened of actually having to go shopping to find a cocktail dress for this fundraising gala for my daughter's school on Saturday. I actually have a date! A real live date. OMG!! I'd rather get a painful bone marrow biopsy than look at myself over and over trying on dresses designed for 125 lbs women. How sad is that? I hope you all have a wonderful day. I look forward to checking in on you all later! Cheers, Debs |
Rennie, I'm so out of touch video wise I didn't even realize she had toning dvds. Does she have any that worked your arms real good?
Deb, 2 years in remission is really something to celebrate. I'm so happy for you. Maybe your dress should be fire engine red to just make your dates eyes pop and his mouth drool? Go for it girl!!! |
lovn
She has a couple I really like. You can do Pilate's and Walk At Home Walk Slim With Leslie Sansone Fast Start Fast Firming. Both use the stretchy band and really work the arms and legs. Her, Walk Away The Pounds With Leslie Sansone For The Abs 10 Minutes Ab Buster is really good for the arms and the abs. You can do all of these without the stretchy band and waist band. Jane WOW that is so great. The Lord does watch over us. Better the butt cheek to be numb I would think lol. Go to stores that sell clothes for bigger woman. They have great designs these days that are made for us bigger woman. You enjoy yourself. Strut around a bit. You have so much to be proud of. |
 hugs to YOU all!!
rennie... wouldn't it just be great if we all lived in the same neighborhood and could do those mile tapes together, :running: and jane...we could go with you to any crappy dr. appt. and offer our support and love. jane...i agree with lovin....go out and find THAT dress...u know the one...its out there with YOUR name on it....i don't know what you look like, but red usually looks good on most everyone! GO RED! :goodluck: Whatever you find, be sure you post us a pic of how gorgeous you look all dressed up for ya date! Congrats on the date! i just got married last year on 7-7-7. i was married before for 21 years, and then divorced for about 5 all the while thinking i'd never get married again. i was so jaded. i didn't trust anyone. i didn't even date much. then, after i had resolved the fact that i would probably be single the remainder of my years and i quit looking for mr. right. because all i could ever find was mr. wrong and all i could feel like was mrs. too fat...i met nigel. he's british and all i can say is i am blessed. that was over 2 years ago. after a year courting and falling in love we were one of those crazy 300,000 plus couples that maried on 7-7-7. imagine someone loving ME for ME! i remember going on "that" date. that first date. i was all giddy and silly and feeling like a love struck teenager. love is amazing. friends are amazing. having friends to chat up over tea...:coffee2: a couple hundred thousand having a man to love you unconditionally....:love:a million or 2 at least having an outstanding network of online support friends who are losing weight and sharing their stories for motivation :comp:....PRICELESS! :bravo: Cheerioooooo rainbowsmiles :rain: |

I have thought about that so many times. It would be so great to be able to get together with everyone and do our workouts. I have no one to work out with and I think that would be fun. Would be great to be able to be there with each other when we really need support. To give a pat on the back or just sit and listen to a friend rant when they need to have a rant day. |
Oh Rainbow, I so think 3FC should use that for advertising....the support I get here is so priceless. I'm ashamed to say that over the years I have come and gone here. Not anymore. Every time I quit here I end up quitting on me and wind up gaining all my losses back. You women are like free counceling and weight watcher sessions all rolled right into my living room. You are a huge blessing for me.

Jane that's great news 2 years in remission. Go and find yourself something gorgeous to wear for your date.
I agree with all of you. This is like therapy and we need all the support we can get on our weight loss journey. Some days I feel like giving up and come in here and before you know it I feel rejuvinated. My exercise buddy has been sick for 3 weeks so I am on my own at the minute. I'm going to do my walk a mile. Talk to you later. |
Ok. Longest. Day. Ever!! But at least I got a fairly good checkup. Still waiting on my transplant doc to review my back MRI before he would clear me to get the gym and train. I'm pretty bummed about that. I herniated 2 discs in my back somehow so he's being cautious. 2 years of steroids does some work on your bones so he doesn't want me to get a fracture. I told him I'm not that fragile and my bone scan was pretty good. I've herniated 2 other discs before, so I know not to overdo it. I honestly think that losing at least 20-30 lbs would really help. But between steroids and early menopause, it's been difficult. That's why I hired an entire team!
I have been trying on tons of dresses all over the place and can't seem to find something I like. I'm nearly 5'10 and don't have big tatas like most women my size. So everything usually fits well, but I don't want to have a wardrobe malfunction in front of the PTA parents. My date is someone I've been seeing a little bit. We are mostly great friends and he is helping me with all my medical issues, kind of translating test results for me, as he's an Internist. Sometimes I feel like you need a mid-wife type person to run interference and go with you to figure out all the doctorese they speak. It's mind boggling. Two years is pretty huge for me. There were more than a few occasions they didn't think I would make it (nor did I), but I'm too stubborn to die! Besides, I have my 7 year old daughter who needs someone to keep her wild spirit check when need be. I did stick to my diet, but it's been 2 days of no work outs. I walked a lot at the hospital, but forgot my pedometer in San Antonio so I couldn't even track it. I'm hoping the scale at the docs is the same as what the gym scale will say, but in a week, I've lost about 2 pounds. I'll take what I can get. It really is inspiring to see all the weight loss on this site. It was a hard day, but I looked forward to checking back in here to see what is going on. |
Deb, Great friends is a terrific way to start a relationship. I'm happy your appointment went well. I'm saying a liitle prayer for those disks and your MRI result.
Have a great day. |
Deb, glad to hear the good results! I'm glad you had some positive news! Hopefully now you can have some good results on finding a dress. I know how hard that can be. I'm not as tall as you, but I'm sure that adds an extra burden in finding clothes.
Hope everyone has a good day! |
Deb, keep fighting the good fight, you'll get there yet. As for dresses, good luck. I know of some women who can walk into a store and within 5 minutes have 10 options, all of which look good on them. I can go to 10 stores and not find one thing. What about trying a store such as Nordstroms or Macy's? The reason I suggest that is sometimes their saleswomen know of options in the store that you haven't found yet, it can save time. If you don't care for what that salesperson is bringing you, no worries. Hop over to another store. The right helper is definitely a godsend.
Not having any luck whatsoever in the losing weight department. There's a part of my brain that is hoping when I see the doctor later this month he'll order a blood test to see if my thyroid is working. Then there's the rest of my brain basically saying "you WISH! Now get off your tuckus and get to work!" There's nothing for it, just have to keep on trying, documenting, and trying for a breakthrough. Hope everybody has a great day! |

Sometimes it just takes a little tweaking. Look at what you have been eating. Are you making the best choices to get the four basic food groups in a day? Just adding a bit of exercise everyday makes the body work better. You will get where you want to be, it just takes time. |
Hubby surprisingly took the day off work. His favorite of course is BUFFET. We tried a new one that featured not only pizza, but chicken dishes (none grilled), very creamy clam chowder etc....the only thing healthy was the salad. Yes, I had a nice salad with low cal Italian dressing, but I also had home made potato chips, clam chowder, huge broasted breast of chicken (yes I ate the skin too), and 5 count them 1,2,3,4,5 slices of pizza. I was done at 3, but then they brought out two new kinds. California chicken and garlic cheese. Both on a skinny delicious crust, but I'm not kidding the garlic was added by putting garlic butter on the top to melt. Food should not be able to make someone feel that good!!!! Of course I did wash it all down with the required diet coke. Ok, that's enough food porn for one day....I must now go for a walk..I'll have to walk so far I may get lost...maybe just a continual circling of the back yard, say until Fri afternoon...pray for me or at least laugh right out loud.

Real quick.
Lovn that sounds good. Now get out and walk :) Weigh and measure day with my buddy. I was up half a pound for this week but for the month I'm down 8lbs and 6 inches :carrot: |
