Sigh...Monday...sigh...
Hi ladies,
I didn’t do well drinking enough  water this weekend…I know it causes me to hold water weight. Plus I’m waiting for TOM to arrive… I’m keeping things in perspective (as well as hormones allow), but I’d still like to see that scale number move down. I spent a LOT of time moving and working this weekend (outside with landscaping stuff) and I KNOW I hit my daily exercise plan. Today I was back at the pool and water jogged :swim: my heart out. I will admit the “tired factor” is hitting and housework seems to overwhelm my evenings. :halfempty Does anyone else feel like it’s a choice between a nutritious “calorie counted” dinner :stir: or laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the tub, etc? I feel like I just get caught up with one and the rest are in desperate need. HHHhhhhhhmmm(sigh)….sorry about the complaining. I just need to reinforce for myself that my priorities are: Eat right, Exercise, Ensure hydration, and then Execute To Do list. Another day, another step forward in the right direction…:sumo: Merry Monday! Cammie |
Afternoon all, ;)
Did everyone have a good weekend? Welcome Kim! Mine was great and no I did not behave myself. What fun would that have been. Cammie, yes I feel overwelmed also. The never ending house work and laundry always gets to me. I hate it that whenever I get from one end of the house to the other end of the house in cleaning it is time to do it all over again. Oh well, take a deep breath, you are your #1 priority. I got to go tackle the grass now. We have gotten so much rain, the grass never stops going. Cheri' |
Just had to post really quick here to Cammie. Yes, it is horribly overwhelming to do the cooking, cleaning, workout, quality time with kids, not-so-quality time running kids around, date with hubby (like that ever happens), etc, etc. I decided a long time ago that I needed to lower my standards on having a clean house. There are so many more important things (and fun things) that need to be done!!
Of course, now my standards are so low, I can't see under them anymore!! Life is just a little TOO full sometimes. |
:grouphug: Hey Everyone! :grouphug:
And a big old cheerful :welcome3: to Kimberly :welcome3: Kimberly...I am am on the Best Life Plan but I am plateauing right now...so just trying to mind my plan and goals and get the wt loss moving again. I quite enjoy the plan and have found it really easy to follow. Clydegirl...I am very thankful about my little nephew...and he was excited about the baby raccoon as I have pictures of him feeding Sally and her brothers when they were infants about 4 years ago now. I just wish that Sparky (our rehabilitated squirrel) would come home for a visit. It has been so long so I know that is not good! That pedometer needs to be glued to me...the last few days I have left it in the bathroom at home, my mothers home and work...crazy glue could be warranted! Jo... Aww...treeshallows and bluebirds and geese...I love spring...the whole scrambler must have been traumatizing for you! kinda gross! Poor you and everyone else too! :faint: Diane... You are so lucky in a perverse kinda way...new eye glass shopping...I envy you! I want new glasses but mine are not even one year old (I am a newbie to glasses too my first pair!)...Wow lucky duck! :high: You make me smile/laugh (the standards comment)... :cp: Cherie... And just when you tackle one thing you will notice other stuff... and it becomes an neverending cycle of work, toil, tears of laughter and sadness and then we begin again and again and again...But wow those moments with your kids, family, friends, loved ones, raccoons, cats...they make it all the more worthwhile! :cloud9: Cammie...Water jogging that sound intriguing... :swim: My work schedule (I generally work about 10-12 hours) and home schedule are so complicated that when we get home and who is home first (me or my daughter) is throwing together the dinner that was started in the morning/or at the last meal... If we didn't do it this way we wouldn't get any nutritious meals... The other thing we do is buy all our veggies and fruit on Sundays (generally) and wash, peel and prepare everything so that is ready to eat... :yay: But it is always something...I mean sometimes I barely crawl home and all I want to do is eat peanut butter off a knife, have a bath and go to bed! |
I was thinking about this thread while I was watching sports hilites this morning. Dominic Hasek of the Detroit RedWings is 42 and his team mate Chris Chelios is 45!

It's only Tuesday?
Thank you SO much for relating to my "whine" ladies!!! :^:
I really appreciate the empathy and knowing that I'm not the only one. I also appreciate learning how other people make things work. (Slashnl- I love your comment that your standards are so low you can't see under them anymore! That is SO me. Last night I found the kitchen counter that got buried in the past week's worth of mail, grocery bags, clean dishes not put away, and my daughter's art work. I just want to sit in my kitchen and enjoy a cup of coffee looking at it now. :D ) (Kimush, I think I'm going to start a Sunday afternoon "Fresh Foods" run - just to pick up fresh fruits and veggies like you. I also envy you having a daughter to help you prep dinner. My daughter "helps" but she's only 2 yrs old, so tonight when we make "pizzas" on whole wheat tortillas with our own ingreadients, she'll be the one putting toppings on...she is getting good at pouring though. :rain: giggle ) Today I'm just praying for AF to come. Yes, ladies, I WANT TOM!! Not because I think I'm :preg: , but because I really want the PMS to end. This morning I looked in the mirror and saw Jabba the Hut with my head on his body....UUuuuuuggggghhhh! :barf: THAT is definitely PMS. It's just one of those days...I know it's "hor-moans and groans" so I'm going to go water jog (again) :kickcan: and go on with work and life as though that scale is going down in numbers, not up...If I wasn't on this website and participating in SusanB's 21 day challenge, I'd be very very tempted to go out for lunch and skip the 2nd work out of the day... Thanks for being here. BTW, Kimush, I love water jogging to music. My local pool (only 2-3 minutes from my office depending on traffic and how far away I parked) lets me play cardio work out music, I just strap on the jogging belt and go to the deep end of the pool and run laps. It's awesome because I truly get the benefits of running without any of the pounding impact on my back or knees. (Plus I don't get my hair wet ;) !) I have no idea how "far" I go, but I jog for time and intensity (like an aerobics class or something). I hope you have an opportunity to try it sometime. It's a tad boring without the music to help keep your pace, but it still beats further injury. Cammie |
:grouphug: Hey There Everyone... :grouphug:
Susan... I am hoping that I am not as "thick" as I am feeling (this is like the TOM thing all over again)...So these two guys who play for the Det. Redwings one is #42 the other is #4...are they hot? or your favourite players? or both? It is times like this where my 5 years of university and graduate school are not evident...:dizzy: :dizzy: Cammie...Pita pizza's are my mid-week saviour...I take a basting brush and brush some olive oil on the bottom of a very high fibre whole wheat pita and put that on side down on the boiler then brush alittle on the other side...I put on my daughter's homemade tomato sauce, fresh garlic and tons of veggies and some cheese...one pita pizza and some salad and you are stuffed...and it is really healthy...and kids love them because they can decorate/make their own pizza...this water jogging sounds so cool...I am lost...you go to the deep end and put on a jogging belt and then run laps...man today is my "dumb as a stump day"...at first when I googled it illustrated a belt to wear and attach your dog too so that the dog can jog too...then I found the right picture...this is very cool and sounds like so much fun and definitely intriguing...I am sure you can only imagine the visuals of you and your dog in a pool and then slowly sinking in the deep end... :o :?:  Maybe I need to go to bed early! |
Cammie water jogging never heard of it. Sounds like fun. So how many laps do you do and what depth of water are you in? Are there other people running round the pool with you? I imagine you get a really good workout.
I have those days when I look in the mirror and think :yikes: |

So I've changed things again and am doing my Firm Tapes M, W, F. Arms, shoulders and tri w/heavy wts. are also on M and F. W are are also back, chest and leg wt. days. Tues and Thurs are TM days. Dog walking as often as possible. Eating has not been as on plan as it should be. Darn, darn, darn, darn, darn! Try and try again, right? Today is a crazy day for me. I have a job at 1:00pm today. The woman said mornings weren't good for her; so how is interrupting the middle of your (read that as my ) day good??? Oh well. Kevin (my special needs son) is in a play at school this afternoon so hubby and I are going to see him. Hopefully we won't mess up the taping of it part. Once I went on a trip to see a friend in college (yeah, back in the good 'ole days :)) and I took a whole roll of pics only to get home and discover I'd forgotten to actually put the film in the camera. :dizzy: Have a good one all!! Jo |
Kim ... nothing special to look at, just plenty older than the average age of someone who plays a professional sport that is as physically demanding as hockey. And they're good! I love to hear about folks around my age who are exceptional in that way.

:grouphug: Hello Everyone...:grouphug:
Susan... OMG...I thought that these guys were some "ball" team and that they are hot! :encore: :encore: Jo...yesterday was not good...but man I am still laughing...Sports has never been my forte! :cheer2: :cheer2: Tomorrow is my weigh in...and my one jumper today was very baggy so I am hoping that the damn plateau is done...also TOM is visiting so that my help!    KEEP ON LAUGHING  |
Hi girls how is everyone?
My weigh in day. I lost half a pound better than nothing :) Kimush how did you get on? Are you over your plateau? I'm having a very stressful afternoon with my youngest. She's playing up something awful :nono: I'm on here as she's doing homework beside me. |
:grouphug: Hey Everyone! :grouphug:
Clydegirl... :cheer2: Congrats to us both... :cheer2: I am off of my plateau! :spin: I stuck to every guideline of the Best Life Plan and decided just to use the last two weeks and write down everything that I was eating...according to my daughter I was not eating enough...Elisabeth said that I was not eating enough protein (cheese, nuts and seeds to my salads) at my lunches...so I added more protein this week...and I have been walking like crazy! And it worked!   |
:carrot: :cheer: :cb:
Congrats Kimush. I should start journaling again. It does work when you do it. |
:grouphug: Hey Everyone...:grouphug:
Clydegirl...I hate to journal  ...But my daughter told me that it makes a big difference...She uses "fitday" the site that Susan B uses...I know that Susan B has mentioned it a few times... :spin: And then Susan B started that 21 Challenge...And I have been trying so hard to follow all the Best Life Plan guidelines... So Ladies...it is Mother's Day Weekend...I am going to the Roller Derby tomorrow...and Port Dover for Perch on Sunday...So lots of Food!!! :T :T |
