Kayley & Crock, how hard did you find SBD? Especially the first few weeks on phase 1, my book and quick SBD recipe book came and I will be reading them today. How long were you on phase 1, did you lose well on phase2 ? Sorry for the questions but I know Kayley had a long time on phase 1 and I need to know how hard/easy it is and what kind of weightloss to expect long-term, oh and did it affect your toilet habits at all? Thanks, in anticipation.
Well I'm partly OP but still feel down, I hope my new pills do something soon, these pills contain the 'pregnancy' hormone, just hope I don't feel the way I did when I was really pregnant, ratty, nasty and depressed! I really don't want to have to take depression meds as I'm normally ok 2 out of 4 weeks, hormone stuff, period & ovulation times I feel SH*t. Sadly I couldn't take the normal pill, like before as I have numbness with migraines and they can cause stokes with this type of pill. For once my weight didn't affect the pill, I got congrats on losing 20lbs since my last weigh-in at docs, ages ago. So something good anyway!
Got to take Gareth to school. NOW, ooops!!

Ingrid - Are you PMS'ing at all? I definitely find that will change my hunger levels. Also, eating the right balance of carbs and protein can be very important (not sure what type of plan you are following). I find if I don't get enough protein that I get VERY hungry. I can't eat most cereal for this reason - Kashi GoLean is ok because of the protein, but most leave me feeling starving in 2 hours. I also especially notice I am hungry the day after I eat sugar.

My suggestion is that even if you have already eaten over your calories for a day eat a sensible meal for your next one. Get right back on track and don't let yourself get too hungry. That can be one of the quickest roads to overeating.

Also, don't give yourself such a hard time. You developed these habits and cravings over years and years - they aren't necessarily going to go away tomorrow. You need to find what works for you and start to make small changes in that direction. But, you will have a slip up here or there, but that's fine. The important thing is to use it as a learning experience about yourself. How were you feeling at the time, did you eat out of boredom, emotions or social pressure, what are your biggest triggers, etc.? Hang in there

Stinger: Don't be so hard on yourself! You will get back into the swing. Sit down and take a deep breath. Think about all the reasons that you want to loose the weight. Maybe write them down on a piece of paper. Maybe write down all the things that you don't like about being over weight. It will come back to you sweetie. Big hugs.

Elaine: Look at you. Only 4 pounds away from the 2's. Good going.

Suemarie: Glad you are feeling better. Hope you keep getting better. Hugs.

Sharon: So sorry you are not feeling so great. Big hugs to you.

Crock: Feel better soon. Don't smoke silly woman. Especially when you ahve asthma. I hope you get well soon. Big hugs.

Hpnotq: I hope your hubby is not too ill. Take care and don't catch it.

Well, Back to the house cleaning. Blessings all,
Annie

MsCrockett - Just had to post - my asthma finally made me quit smoking after 3 hospitalizations in one year. It can be, literally, a real killer.

It's been 22 years now, and I haven't been hospitalized since 1986.

So, it can be done.

Any questions, please PM.

I've been gone for a couple of days. I've had time to post my minutes on the exercise thread, and that's about IT! But I know you all will forgive me
I got the job at the newspaper, and I start Monday at 10am. It's going to cut down a little on my exercise, but I will NOT give up. I'm less than 200 mins away from my June goal, and I'm thinking I'm going to blow that number outta the WATER!
to all our newbies, cuz I read that there's a couple.
And CONGRATS on our losers!

And Crock...my b-day was on June 2nd, and I didn't "treat" myself or anything...I knew I would instantly feel guilty, so I just stayed OP. If you are able to not feel guilty, and really WANT one of the no-no foods, I'd say go for it. But you're doing so well, so you may just wanna keep on truckin'!

OH! I also talked to VioletSwerve (Amy) on Myspace, and she hasn't been here, cuz she's busy...going to be moving soon, and starting a new job...and hasn't been keeping up with the diet & exercise very well. But I'm sure once she gets back on track, she'll be here!

I've read everything, so I'm all caught up now!
I'll be back a little bit later.

Nancy -- that's some good advice for all of us!!! I am totally into learning from my mistakes. It is TOUGH to put myself in situations where I might make mistakes, and just as tough to learn from them and not beat myself up about them. But I figure I'm not going to make this a lifestyle unless I figure out how to make it work in ALL of my life, and that means all of it!

This relates to kayley's comments just now about feeling guilty when we go off plan. Guilt can be great as a deterrent, but you can't let it paralyze you once you've GONE off plan...

Okay, that made a lot more sense in my head than it does here on the screen.

Kayley -- Congrats on the job!!!!!!!!!!! What made you choose the newspaper?

Wyllenn - Even though it's a little less money than the Whirlpool job, I think I'll be a lot happier there. I really liked the atmosphere, and it wasn't as domineering. It'll also be a little more office-oriented than the Whirlpool job...and that's what I really need. An office setting, and my own desk! Hehe.

Jennifer - to you! KEEP IT UP!

WAY TO GO KAYLEY on the new job! Sounds like a good one!

HI EVERYBODY!!! I've been on the road and haven't even had the computer out of the case until tonight. I'm over 500 posts behind, so I hope you will forgive me if I don't catch up with all the personals. I'm thrilled to see successes like Dogpal's 35 pounds and dying to learn about things like Julee's adventure with wedding plans. SO much to catch up on!

WELCOME to new folks, and WELCOME BACK to returnees! This site and these folks are a rock to help you & me on our way, whether we're on a roll, or having a tough time, so stick around, jump in, and be welcome!

SHARON / VooDoo - I see you're looking into SB. I lent my copy out and am currently shopping for a new copy. I know I saw it at Wally-world once. I lost my first 19 pounds pretty easily with SB. I REALLY want to get back on that program, and having it in print is crutial for me I think. The first couple days were tough, but every day I made it thru was easier, and by the end of the first 14 days it was easy. It's hard for me to get back into it, so I want to start over the way I did the first time. GOod luck and great success to you on the plan, and I'll try to follow your example and the example of the other great SB leaders here!

We're in South Carolina now. We've been really busy from Ohio to GA, from Nebraska to Michigan, from New Orleans to FL, Alabama & the Carolinas. It's time to go home. But then again, it's ALWAYS time to go home hopefully by the end of the week we'll be there.

When I get home I have a few new health plans I want to get started on, and following the SBD plan carefully is on my list. Now, to kick up the exercise and get to it!

THANKS to anyone who's missed me and those who offered their support on my $$ issues with DH. Things are going really well in that area now, and I think we've made progress on a couple of important issues. A very happy relief!

I wish you all a happy, healthy, OP day!
