I did 23 minutes on the elliptical and had a 30 minute session with my personal trainer, which brings my total up to 1383.

The group total is 14,768 + 53 = 14,821.

We are definitely going to hit 15,000!! That defintiely deserves a :flame: guy

Awww Nancy! I was all proud of my 16 minures on the eliptical! See what you did! :(

You did GREAT! That's what you did! :D

I did 16 minutes on the elip and 15 more on crunches, stretches, etc... add that 31 to my prior 312 for 343 minutes total!

600 - 343 = 257 BELOW my goal... but WAY better than ever before!

group total is now 14,821 + 31 = 14,852 minutes! :cheer:

Wyllenn - I vote stay with minutes since there's such a variety of workouts.

Zelma! On the job exercise??? Is that cheating? That's cool, especially getting the kids started on exercise!

I did 45 mins yesterday and today I did 60 mins of Tae bo (intro tape so slower muscle work but worked up a sweat) and 15 mins of cardio pilates (dang that kicks my butt)

Group Total: 14,852+120=14,972

Personal Total: 1186/1100 YEAH!!! I made it and I even have an extra day to get extra...

Zelma--That is one of the cutest and innovative ideas I have heard for getting children to exercise, and it could be altered to any number of themes. I love that!! Sorry, I just had to say that.


As far as changing...I couldn't keep track of all my exercise any other way than in mins. True it is not completely comprehensive as far as the impact it has on each individual because intensity is not factored in as well as other things, however, with all the different types of exercise I do, there is no other generic measurement that could track it except time. I am not opposed to measuring distance with walking, that actually is more natural to me than time where walking is concerned, but everything else I measure in time.

I haven't checked in for a while and I think the last time I posted it was like page 10 :( but I just wanted to tell you that you all did AMAZING this month. I'll be back to start the month off on Saturday. I have been "off" for a bit but coming back better and smaller than ever :D

Hi guys,

I didn't meet my personal goal for March. I will strive again in April. I was at 80 minutes. My new total is 380. So, my 380 for March plus the group's 15037 = 15417 for the Group.

ok walked on my lunch break yesterday that was 30 min add that to my total 155 + 30 = 185!! That is my total for march..lol..didnt meet my goal of 300 BUT still did good.

Group total 15457 + 30= 15,487

We have a program at my work called ECHO. It is a wellness program through our company...anyhow I signed up for it! Right now they are doing a 6 week program with the nutritionist! Today is my first meeting!! I am sooo excited! Will let yall know what goes on and what fun things I will be learning..cyn

Oops!! :o Yesterday I wrote 23 minutes on the elliptical but I should have said treadmill! So Lilion, you were still queen of the elliptical yesterday! Since it works my legs muscles so much I had been keeping that for M/W/F.

So I just got back from the gym and today I did 80 minutes. So that makes the new group total:

15,487 + 80 = 15,567 Not bad at all ladies! :)

I'm proud of us. I didn't meet my goal but I'll try for 1200 minutes in April too. I'm thinking that this is the month I'm going to kick butt ladies, so look out. Oh--and my scale said 244.6 this morning. :carrot: I'm ecstatic! Just had to tell you all. Good luck!

Well, I am here to tell you I ROCK! :::: grin:::::

I am so gosh darn proud of myself for getting to my goal. I biked today for 60 minutes (while watching "12 Angry Men" - I really like that movie!) for a grand total of 1,000. And, because I'm a statistics freak, here is some more info:

March Totals
Total Minutes: 1001 (that’s 16 hours and 41 minutes)
Total Miles: 95.9
Average Speed per mile: 10 minutes, 26 seconds
Number of days worked out: 19 out of 31
Percentage of days worked out: 61.3%
Feeling healthier and stronger: priceless....er...no...wait, wrong context! LOL

My challenge for April: 1440 minutes of cardio broken down as follows:

Recumbent Bike
(270 min./wk)
x (4 weeks)
Bike min: 1080

PLUS

Walking/Elliptical
60 - wk 1
80 - wk 2
100 - wk 3
+ 120 - wk 4
Wlk/Ellp min: 360

The bike minutes are going to be challenge enough…but the walking/elliptical is sure to kick my butt. Here’s a toast to a CHALLENGE for April! Yipee!!!!

Our group total so far:

15,567 + 60 = 15,627

Congrats to Maria for making her goal!!!!

I got in a nice 25 minute walk...we're talking mostly uphill, with winds of 25 mph! LOL! So I'm definately feeling it! Was about a mile. Brings me to 855 for the month, and 15,652 for the group! WOW!

OMG! I just looked at my log and realized I left off 1/2 hour of walking from yesterday! That puts my total to 373, not 343!

My personal total was 600 - 373 = 227 under goal!

The group total is now 15,652 + 30 = 15,682!

Tonight I did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 40 minutes on the treadmill. I tried to get on one of the bikes - uh . . . that didn't work out so well. Good thing there weren't too many people in the place or I would have felt really embarrassed! That brings my March total to 1443.

The group total is now 15,682 + 60 = 15,742

Howdy all I went to my class today..It was good..a get to know the group thing...we had to take body measurements lol and weigh in..last time I went to the Dr in December I weighed 345lbs..I stepped on thinking it went up and TAHHHDAHHH 329!!!! I had the biggest grin lol Imagine how much I will loose now that I am trying...whoohoo Cyn

My last exercise for the month was doing weights at the gym, counting 20 minutes of it. I can't believe it didn't exercise like 4 of the first 5 days of the month and not only met my goal, but exceeded it by over an hour! In fact, I've done some kind of exercise everyday since March 19th! *pats self on back*

Group total ~ 15,742 + 20 = 15,762 minutes


We should be so proud-- this is our highest total yet! We're really making exercise a habit!

I seem to be doing better with exercise than anything else lately so I appreciate this exercise thread.

I walked 1.92 miles at the mall this morning.
