I got in 40 min of cardio today and 10 min of abs. I've got 90 min so far this month. Would have liked the number to be a bit higher but I've been sick.

My friend Susan bought the dvds, number 1 & 2, and they looked HARD! I wish you good luck as she weighs 140, and had a difficult time doing the moves some of the time!

Well, I'm still not back to "normal" feeling, but I exercised. My walking is still lower intensity due to all the coughing, but I don't think I overdid it. I'm GLAD I did it! 46 min on treadmill and 10 min back ex. for a total of 56 min

Brenda - Was the question on the main thread an inspiration to get those DVD's? ;) I did 35 minutes on the treadmill tonight. I was going to do some weights while watching AI, but I was a bit too tired. My total is now 350. The group total is 2764 + 35 = 2799 |
Nancy ~ *L* I don't think they are related too closely but anything that can bring hubby and I closer AND burn calories is worth it :) It certainly isn't a boring workout!!

Wyllen - it is great to see that you are well enough to try a bit of exercise, but I wish you were feeling 100%. Hopefully that will be soon. I'm glad you're not overdoing things though. Keep just taking it easy. It still makes a difference. Did the usual, even though I didn't think I'd be up to facing the home gym today. After working out on the exercise bike, the gym didn't look too bad. Still pretty warm weather, but not as bad as the last few days. Only got up to 92F today. So... 25 mins on treadmill, 25 on bike and 15 of resistance training. Hello Everyone!
I have a goal of 1,000 minutes of aerobic activity for the month of March. I've been doing 60 minutes on my exercise bike every other day - so I'm right on target!!! Next week I hope to add some weighlifting for the alternate days (ie. days when I'm not doing 60 minute cardio sessions) including 10 minutes of cardio warm-up before lifting. If everything goes according to plan, I should reach my goal no problem. Ah, and this is from the woman who two years ago couldn't walk a half-block due to an ankle injury. Yay me!!! |

She did real well, when she got pooped she laid down in the locker room until I came and got her to do weights with me. The bicycle wore her out and then she did elliptical and treadmill for a bit so she had to rest. 4088 + 60 = 4148 |
I made it for 7 minutes on the elliptical - the first time I have made it past 5. It seems to be getting easier . . . :) I then did 30 minutes on the treadmill. That makes my total 387.
The group total is now 4148 + 37 = 4185 |

I spent 25 minutes on the treadmill and for most of that time I was on an incline of 3.0. Then I had my session with my trainer for 30 minutes. That makes my new total 442.

Today, I did my Crunch dvd, so that's 40 minutes, and then did 10 minutes of weights & crunches. Brings meup to 50 minutes for the day, and brings my goal to 295 for the month so far. Almost to 300!

I love coming here after a long day and seeing all the people moving. I'll add my 20 minutes with the weights today. First time in 1 1/2 weeks! I'm starting to feel better and getting back on the routine --finally. I am several days behind in my goal for the month, but it's early and I have every intention of making it!

25 mins on the treadmill and 30 mins on the bike. I was supposed to do 15 mins on the home gym, but it is Friday and I am very tired, so instead of pushing myself I decided to give myself a break. That is a huge step for me, because I would normally just push myself to go that extra bit further. I'm still not sure I did the right thing, but I don't want to get sick again, so I'm being extra careful.

I did 20 minutes of the 2-mile WATP tape this morning before work. I didn't get through the whole thing - I am just not ready for working out in the morning. I had to today since we are hitting the road, but I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much. My new total is 462.

I really intended to skip the workout tonight, but then I just started feeling lazy, so I did my Crunch Dance dvd, so that's 40 mins of cardio for me! :) I've found that everytime we are in a place that sells dvds, I'm always looking at their selection of workout dvds...I guess that's a NSV, since before I began my new lifestyle, I didn't look for them EVER. :)

This is weird. I know I posted last night, and now it's gone! In fact, I think some other posts are gone,too, because I thought the group total was higher when I was done. Thinthinker, do you know what happened? Am I crazy?
Anyway, I had a great 43 minute workout on the treadmill, finally feeling better. I said more yesterday, but today I'll just say: Group Total ~ 6135 + 43 = 6178 minutes |
Lovely walk with hubby around a large park in the centre of the city this morning. Didn't really know where we were going, and I fully expected to get lost, but we found our way back to the car and got in a beautiful hour-long walk at a very good pace. I'd say we walked between 3 and a half to 4 miles. Weather was gorgeous and surroundings were serene.
