Boy, today's workout was HARD. Well, not the workout itself as much as MAKING myself get on the bike and STAY on the bike for a full 60 minutes. I'm feeling a little blue today - more relationship problems.

Still, I got on the bike and stayed on!!! My main motivator? After about 1/2 hour of huffing and puffing I took my shirt off (I work out at home) to cool down a bit and looked down at my belly and noticed that the little roll right under my bra strap is GETTING SMALLER. I was so tickled!!! So, everytime I wanted to quit I would just look down and notice this change in my body. Nothing like seeing progress to motivate ourselves to keep on going, huh? :-)

My total for March = 334

Group Total 6278 + 60 = 6338


I am now on my way to the grocer to purchase lots of yummy veggies to roast and broccoli to make soup.

Well, I got to the gym this morning early, only to find out I was there almost a half hour before they opened!!! I almost just turned around and went home. Instead, I pulled out my ipod and took a brisk walk OUTSIDE for 33 minutes. I had no coat and it was only 44 degrees, but it was nice and I'm glad I did. Then it was on to the weight machines for 20 minutes.

So, that's my NSV -- I didn't give up!

Group total ~ 6338 + 53 = 6391 minutes!

Yesterday I had the immense pleasure of taking a walk in sunny, 70 degree weather! I am SO excited for spring, although I know that here in NY I need to wait a little bit longer (I was outside of DC). We walked for about 30 minutes, which makes my total 492.

I will be back later tonight after I do something today.

The group total is now 6391 + 30 = 6421

On Saturday - 10 minutes on the eliptical

600 - 186 = 414 to go

I didn't exercise Sunday, but cleaned the house and garage for five hours! Seems like that ought to count for something!

Tonight I did a strength training video that was 50 minutes long. That makes my total 542.

OK, only another 40 minutes of serious walking to add, but taking the stairs down to walk the puppy for every potty break for two days (including the ones at 2 am, 4 am, 5:30 am...) OUGHT to count for something, right Lilion?

Pretty standard day... 25 mins on treadmill and 25 mins on bike. Have really enjoyed the workout on the home gym the past couple of days, but can understand why you need to rest in between workouts. I don't even work that hard, or that long, but I can feel muscles today when I move particular ways, so I assume that they would like a rest.

Personal Goal... 885 - 50 = 835 mins to go for March

Group Total... 6610 + 50 = 6660

Yesterday, Andrew and I went out for a 20 minute walk before I had to go to work...it was so beautiful out!

Well, I don't know if I should count the exercise I did this last week before I was participating here. And yesterday was my rest day.
But this morning I went for a 30 minute walk and did 10 minutes on the stability ball for a total of 40 minutes.

6710 + 40 = 6750

Well, with a load of grading staring me in the face, I went ahead and exercised. As I did, my back started bothering me some, but not enough to stop. I'm tired of making excuses for not exercising. So, I gutted out 31 minutes on the treadmill. Today it was not fun, but I did it anyway. I guess I need to do that more, but right now I'm grumpy about it.

Group Total ~ 6750 + 31 = 6781 minutes

Today was very good exercise-wise! I did:
40 mins cardio dance
10 mins weight lifting/crunches
10 mins Pilates
Total: 60 mins.
Had never done Pilates before, and it about killed me! LOL

Brings my total to 445 minutes for the month so far.
Our total=6841

I made it for 8 minutes on the elliptical - who knows, maybe I'll get to 10 by the end of the week? :) Then I did 32 minutes on the treadmill. That makes my total 582.

The group total is 6841 + 40 = 6881

25 mins on treadmill, 25 mins on bike and 15 mins of resistance training. This seems to be an easy routine to follow, and 25 mins never seems too hard to do, not like the 50 mins I was trying to push for a few weeks ago, so hopefully I am on the right track. I'm not sure if I'll ever get to like the home gym as much as the other equipment, but I feel pretty good after my 15 minutes of workout.

Personal Goal... 835 - 65 = 770 mins to go for March

Group Total... 6941 + 65 = 7006 (just took us over the 7k mark)

Good morning all!

Well, I woke up late today. This waking up at 5 am is just hard! Oy! I only had time to do 30 minutes on the bike...but I just couldn't stop there...I would much prefered being late to work than do only 30 minutes, so I did 45 instead of 60. And, I got in before my boss did! So, it's all good. :-)

Monthly total: 379
Monthly goal: 1000 - I'm a bit behind the 8 ball. I need to do start working out every day instead of every other day to meet my goal.

Group total: 7036 + 45 = 7081

Keep up the good work gals! I'm so proud of all of us!

Was raining this morning, so I didn't think I was going to get my walk in. But, the clouds blew out and it was a beautiful afternoon, so I went.

Group total: 7081 + 45 = 7126

Way to go!! I guess I need to figure out what my personal goal needs to be for the month. But since I'm coming in mid month, I guess I can just start that next month.

Well, I'm going to count the 10 lone minutes of back exercises. I need to do them! I didn't get to the treadmill tonight, but it's finals week and I have become a grading fool!

Sigh, I have been SO busy and time has been crazy. I do have lots to report though.

personal total ~ 640 - 315 minutes = 325 to go!!

300+ total ~ 7246 + 315= 7561 minutes

I'll try to be around more! Things have kinda gotten away from me. Still semi-OP *L* and down 3lbs this week.

I almost forgot to log yesterday's workout. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill at the gym. I meant to come home and do some weights while watching AI, but that didn't happen. My new total is 612.

Yesterday, I only did 20 mins of cardio, but I more than made up for the rest of it by cleaning my room, which was ATROCIOUS! LOL! For about 2 1/2 hours! And carrying laundry downstairs and such.

I've totally slacked in posting my exercise times. I'm so sorry!

I haven't posted since the 4th, but on the week of the 4th through the 11th, I managed to get in 180 minutes.

From the 11th to now, I've gotten in an additional 90 minutes.

So, that leaves the group total at 7671+270=7941

Woke up this morning feeling SICK of my bike. So, I decided to do a DVD instead. Rented the Biggest Looser DVD and watched it last night - too hard on my arthritic knee. So, I did Gunnard Peterson's "Give me 20." It's mostly weights on the ball. Exercises went fast and had me breathing hard. Still, I think his "25 minute Full Body Workout" is a better set of moves so I will try that two days from now when I'm doing weights again.

Group Total: 8155 + 20 = 8175

I did 22 minutes on the treadmill, had my personal training session for 30 minutes and then got back on and did another 13 minutes on the treadmill. That brings my personal total to 721.

The group total is now 8295 + 65 = 8360
