I have the Oxycise book, not the tape...but I'll be willing to actually USE it along with you, BarbG! Now I just have to go find it...

Terri, I did hear from my girl again...Thursday. She's having a wonderful time. Says I would love it there. I had to share the news about our governor's resignation. I thought that they would have heard about it in Ireland, since he and his family have had several controversial trips to the Emerald Isle, courtesy of the NJ taxpayers!

Lucky, your night out around the fire sounds like fun. It's pouring here. Side effects of the hurricane...thanks, Charley!

Speaking of hurricanes, my mom was telling me the other day that she and my dad are taking a cruise....they got such a great deal! Wonderful! I said...where and when? To Florida and the Bahamas, second week of September. No wonder they got such a great deal, that's smack in the middle of hurricane season. She got a little testy when I pointed that out, sooooo, whatever. Bon Voyage!

Dinner with the girls was fun. Lots of chit chat and laughter. I was very good, had a huge salad, stayed away from the pasta, and PASSED ON DESSERT! I had eaten very little all day in anticipation of a good meal, and was satisfied with what I had...no extras.

I have to get these buns into bed. Tomorrow my son is "canning," (begging) for donations for the football team. He has to stand in front of the bakery, in his football uniform, with his can to stick in people's faces as they come out the door. Now, I know him. He will NOT say a word. He's very shy. He may stand there and look cute, which will hopefully work in his favor. I don't want to have to load the can up myself to make it look good!

Good morning ladies,

For some reason I feel like I was hit by a truck during the night. A little celebrex and I'll feel like new again.

We're up early to make a huge, and I mean huge, pot of BBQ beans for the roping event. We're manning the chuck wagon. Hope DH doesn't get testy and I don't hold his face to the grill. We have no idea how many people will be there.

After posting last night, I did go rearrange my exercise room so that I actually had room again. I did about 20 minutes of general conditioning work with the ball, weights and stretching.

I'm watching the women's cycling event now. If I were an ambitious person, I'd jump on the stationary bike and ride with them.

I should get dressed and get us out of here.

Kat - on not losing your mind last night!

Have a great Sunday!

Terri... "Peyton Place Barn" It definitely sounds like a soap opera or a "Big Brother" episode.

Yes... my two daughters headed out Saturday morning about 9am.
The oldest is moving to Michigan but the other is just going to be of any help and make the transition easier. They are very close.
Originally we were renting a U-haul and new son-in-law and youngest daughter was going to help drive and move everything inside when they got there. But since those plans were made.. SIL got a job. So plans changed. Instead we bought space on a BFM or BFR or some shipping company. We have to load and unload.. but they drive the furniture from OKLA to MICH.
We loaded the truck here... and she is paying some guys to unload it there.
This way it also more like a mini vacation on their drive there.

I planned on writing a longggg post today... but ... I am SICK !!!!
I have a KILLER summer cold. I think Thin gave it to me via the internet. LOL
I am just not up to a long post yet. Today I am going to rest and hopefully heal up.

Hey! Where is everybody? Where's the support? The encouragement? The challenge to stay OP?

I've been on my feet almost all day and wiped. Sure was disappointed that its still so quiet around here.

2Cute - I hope you're feeling better soon.

Have a good night!

It's bedtime, putting it off so I can deny that the weekend is really over. Wahhhhh..I want to be independently wealthy! I always whine on Sunday night..
Terri- how about some of us take a road trip and pay your boss a visit? Aluminum bats and burlap bags are the way to go...how about it, who's in???
Skittle- thanks for the scary hernia advice. I oftened wondered why my Dr didn't tell me about the possibilbity of hernia after the surgery? Was i surprised the first time it popped out! I was lying on the floor sweating wondering what the heck was going on!
Thin- I think about never working again a lot, I have a decent job, too far away from home, and I have to let one area of likfe suffer for the commute, but i rotate it, a pigsty house one week, crappy suppers another, overgrown hair, nails, and eyebrows the next...well you get it.
This weekend i bought 2 more (we have 2) shade houses for my DH hobby, growing Hostas. He is building up stock to become a seller. I am the investor. They are 96 feet long and are going up quickly. Next comes the hard part, splitting up and repotting all of those plants....
The hurricane wandered all over the map this weekend. We were spared Charley. We have a beach date Sept 7-10. It's just a drive so no big loss if the winds kick up, we just stay home.
Well, time is up for me, 4am is calling me to sleep.
Nite all, I'll catch ya later!

OK Terri, I'll support, encourage and challenge you to stay OP. I just can't commit myself to staying OP I can't remember if I've already said this, but I started carrying 3 pound weights in my hand when I walk of a morning. Thought maybe that would give me a nudge in the right direction. My ten visits to the wellness clinic is almost over and I truely enjoy them, but I can't say they've helped my weight loss efforts, but boy does that massage chair feel great. The question is: do I sign up for another 10 session?

Well, I've read all of the books that I bought to read while I was on my trip, so I guess I'll try to get back to Dr Phil. Unfortunately, I find it so hard to stay OP when I'm a bad time with my SjS. Hopefully this will be a better week.

2Cute: I'll be in your state next Saturday. My nephew is graduating from Oklahoma Christian and we are going up for the ceremony.

Thin, I've already been looking into plane fare to Detroit, so I'll know how much money to hide away. I hate to admit that the year is almost half over and all that motivation I came home from Spring Fling with had evaporated, but the weight has stayed. So I'll look at it the glass half full way and Say that I still have half a year to loose it!

HI all !!!
I still am NOT well. Grrrrr But feeling a little better ... at least right after taking my medication. LOL My hubby farted today and he said my nose had to be DEAD not to smell it. I have an aggravating cough too.
Barbg... isn't Okla Christian in OKC ?? Strange, graduation in Aug.

My plans are to reread Chapter 1-3 in Dr Phil this next week. It has been too long since I have read. Maybe just read what I highlighted. Then I am getting back ON PROGRAM. I have so much to learn from him.. even though I don't like him. LOL

gotta get to bed and keep resting so I can get over this darn cold.
It is almost impossible to call it a summer cold when our weather has been much more like FALL than summer.

Oh.. I wanted to brag. Well ... only if you are a Garth Brook fan. LOL
Last Friday I ate lunch just5 feet from Garth Brooks.
He lives a short way from me... and there is this little small town restaurant with only 6 booths and 4 tables. He eats there often... but Friday he ate at the same time my daughter and I did. He is CUTER than ever !!!!!!! He has grey temples and is soooooooo down to earth. I just love him .... and his music.
I was smiling alllllllll day after that. LOL
I was definitely "twitterpatted"

OMG 2Cute, I cannot believe that stalking Garth was not on the agenda for the Spring Fling. I am crushed. He's retired now isn't he? I love his music too.

Debra - Bats and burlap bags?! Too funny. There have been many a day that its probably crossed all her direct reports' minds.

I'm not even bothering with the scale this morning because I know its taken a leap up. I have so much water retention.

My goal for the day will be lots of water, avoid sugary and high starch foods, and do 1 hours worth of exercise.

Have a good one!

Cool My kinda town, Chicago is.....

Ok all, I hope everyone is doing well. I am sorry I haven't been able to chat up this weekend, as well, I had to go to Chicago to get my He had to go to Arlington Heights to work. He left Friday morning with his exec chef, and sous chef. His exec chef drove. So anyway, they were suppose to come back Saturday evening. calls me Saturday to say that he drew the short straw and that his chefs had already gone home and he had to stay to help with a breakfast on Sunday. Did I want to come down for the night and pick him up. So here I am gathering all my stuff and driving down to Chicago. Found the hotel and my and we went and had dinner. He was happy to see me as he didn't get any sleep the night before. So with me there he was out, I never realized I bored him that much He got up and I took him and another guy from Canada to the race track to work. Then he called me around 11:30 to come get him and have lunch at the race track as the chef there wanted to buy us lunch. So here I am eating lunch at a race track and seeing pretty horses and nice people and snotty people all gathered in one place. Oh people are so diverse. We had lunch, showed me around where he had been working all weekend and I bet on the first race. I have never bet on a horserace before in my life. So while they were parading the horses around I fell in love with a horse. It was her first race and she was jittery and raring up she was just fiesty. And she was wearing yellow and purple. The odds were 11-1, and I bet $2 to win & $2 to show. She started off really good, but wavered near the end. I lost four bucks but that was alright, I told that she was going to be big someday. Her name is Pleasant Mate. I liked that too.
Anyway, after that we went to Blick Art Supplies. I have their catalog and look at their online store all the time so to find that their store was not even 5 minutes down the road from our hotel, I was in heaven. I got some supplies and then we were off back home around 3:30. I had to take my husband to downtown Milwaukee to pickup his pickup. and I came home to angry cats and rats. Washed two loads of clothes, ate left overs for dinner and watched the olympics. And now I am up and getting ready for work

What on earth is oxycise? I have not heard of that one.

Lisa, I am sorry for your loss and families grief, but happy for your uncle that he is at home on the other side enjoying himself.

Oh, and GO BEARS!!!!! I know we suck, but I am loyal.

Oh, Oh, Garth Brooks!!!! GRrrrrrrr Love those jeans.

Off to work

Skit to my loo

Good morning. Just a quick hello before going to EXERCISE !!!!!

Terri ..I forgot all about Garth living here when you guys were here for the Spring Fling. DUH He is retired ... but I think he may come back after his girls are grown.
He goes to his daughters soccer games and school functions and such so he is having a half way normal life here. LOL
The owner of the restaurant said he is very good about signing autographs and such. He does not like to be bothered while he is eating ... but when he is done eating (and those with him) ...he will take photos or sign autographs.
He is getting to be normal around here. My husband works with a guy who's daughter plays soccer with Garths daughter. He sees him all the time I guess. I am jealous.

Skittles... Garth was wearing shorts ... no tight jeans. DARN !!!
He was wearing flip flops and his baseball cap on backwards.
I just LOVED his grey temples. AHhhhhhhhh
Sounds like you had a nice day. We have horse racing here but I haven't been in years. Our racing season is short... but I know it is HOT when they race here... so it must be near if not maybe going on right now.

Okay... gotta go EXERCISE !!!!!
I threw away a BUNCH of food this morning to remove temptations.
Today is the day for my new beginning.

Default Hi there...

How's everyone today?

I'm doing well, been counting my points and diligently journalling them like a good little weight watcher. I'm not going to re-join, just follow the plan. When I do follow, I find that is the best way for me to eat. I'm getting more than enough, and a greater variety, since I'm always looking for veggies to enhance each meal. So I'm feeling good about that.

Hey, Garth Brooks! I'm not a big country fan (dh is) but I do like Garth Brooks! Love If Tomorrow Never Comes and The Dance.

Today my son has his first scrimmage of the season. Of course it's raining. That doesn't mean they don't play...it just means I get to sit in the stands, in the rain, watching. Dh is working, he can't make it.

My daughter just called from Inishere, Aran Islands....she and her friend rented bikes today and pedalled around the island, exploring and taking lots of pictures. *sigh* Oh, to be young and carefree!

My pictures finally came from Maine today! I have to go check them out. NOW, I can get working on that scrapbook!!! There's no stopping me!

Gotta run...love to all!

Default I'm still standing....

Hey everyone!

Long time....

I am doing ok, except for eating and exercising-- which absolutely stinks! Well, actually, today has been pretty good.

I broke 3 toes over 4th of July weekend (slipped in a hotel pool), and have been unable to do much since. Finally, today I got fed up and went to Bally's and did the eliptical machine for 21 minutes and pool for 15 minutes despite the pain. I am stressed to the gils, not pregnant yet and needed the exercise to take off some of the pressure.

On top of everything, my newer car was rear ended last week by a hit and run driver and now the mini van is in the shop with repairs estimated around $2600 (so far!). Sure, my deductible is only $500, but I am sure that my rates will skyrocket after this.

I started to read posts, but then me and a co-worker did a latin aerobic workout, so I didn't finish, but I will try to finish later.

Tonight DH and I will go back to Bally's for an arm workout. He has also been out of the exercising, since he had cataract surgery and was restricted to lifting no more than 25 pounds.

Well, got to run. Thin told me that you all were doing well, as you have all continued to be in my thoughts.

2Cute Yes Oklahoma Christian is in OKC or actully Moore I think, and he (my nephew) did not have enough credits to graduate with the class in May and took them in the summer.

Hey Susie, Come around more often.

Skittles, watch out, those Horseraces can be addictive. I love going to the horesracing. Oxycise is avery low impact exercise program that combines deep breathing with isometric moves.

Nothing much going on around here.

I have heard nothing but good things about Oxyecise. Everyone says it works.. if you work it. (There is always a catch... LOL)

Barbg... are they having a graduation ceremony now ?? My daughter also graduated mid term but they discontinued mid term ceremonies. If they predict a tornado while you are there... LEAVE. Moore is notorious for the worst tornadoes and they always hit there. I would NEVER move to Moore for that reason. Drive over to Norman where you will be safe.

Susie... you need to find more time to visit us. We miss you.
Kat... we want to see some of those photos.

Okay.. I am going to start a new thread. I meant to do it before I posted. LOL
So STOP !!! Do not post here. Instead come join us in the next ongoing thread.... #557
