Yes, I know that I need to come around more often. I would love to be able to, just can't ever seem to find enough time.

I am going to try to "pop" in in the mornings before 8am, if I can, or else around lunch.

2Cute: Great job on day one. Yesterday was suppose to be my day one, as I did lots of exercising, but I ended up eating too much last night. I am trying again today. I did my 45 minutes of exercise (biked and swam) this morning, so things so far are good.

Well, work is calling....

Morning all,

I am up and drinking my cappucino. But I really need the caffeine today. I went to the hospital last night to visit someone I really admire he was in an accident at a fair while he was performing. So my found out where he was and we went to visit him and his wife. Brought flowers and a card and an Odie. Because you can't feel bad when you look at Odie. It felt so good to see him and know that he was ok. And that his wife was doing ok. I don't know what I would do if my was hurt.
Anyway, work is a horrible place. I really enjoyed being off. My friend quit last week and I miss her, but she just couldn't take the negativity and lack of communication in that office. I have never worked somewhere where I really felt ill after being there. It is very draining in an overall kinda way. It is so emotionally trying that you physically get ill. But if I want a house I have to stay there. Today, my co-worker and I are going to go in a talk to our manager and tell her that we need to know what is going on and what we need to be doing now that my friend left.
In other news the Packers lost last night And the Bears won last week

Deb, I am sorry the hernia advice was scary, but I try to be honest. My doctor didn't tell me anything about that being a side effect of my gallbladder surgery either, I just read it in the little brochure he gave me. But I wish you the best of luck.

BarbG, I was fortunate enough to only bet on the first race, we left just before the second. And thank goodness I live far enough away that I wouldn't want to go down there all the time. We have casinos here and I have only been once. I do play the lottery tho, that is very addicting.
I will have to find that oxycise tape, that sounds very interesting. I can breath. But I do know that breathing properly is hard, cause I have been reading about it in my 6 week makeover program. And I find myself checking my breathing in different situations or positions I find that I am doing it wrong. And when I consciously try to change it it is very hard.

2cute, I believe in getting rid of temptations from the house also. But it is usually via my mouth The problem is not getting the temptations back in the house when they are gone. But I am trying.

Well off to, oh gosh, I can't say it...

later all

Tuesday Tip Day.

Susie .. My tip to you is take the time to just drop in like you did this morning.
I am not going to try to reply to everyone and focus more on sharing my commitment, my success, my "GET WITH ATTITUDE". LOL

Skittles ... not only do I need to get rid of the temptations... I also need to have good choices available because I know there are going to be times I feel the "NEED to FEED"

My tip to everyone else... DRINK THAT WATER !!!!!
First thing in the morning... drink a FULL glass of water with your vitamins.
Drink water with your meals.... It is not only good for you... it will save you money too.

Hi all!

Food is going well, exercise...well...catch as catch can. I had planned on going to the gym while sonny is at football. Maybe even the pool to do some laps. It is a gorgeous day here! 78 degrees, sunny, no humidity...just lovely. I could cut the grass. don't really feel like it. Or...ride my bike...tho' I should sleep... but I hate to waste a beautiful day doing that! I just have to get up again to take son to football at 4:30...then turn around and pick him up at 7. I really should sleep, come to think of it...If I don't, I'll only get the 3 hrs, 2 and 1/2 really, by the time we get home...hmmmmm....do you like how I think "out loud"? Sleep it is, then.

Oh, and 2cute?

Hey Ladies.....Just dropping in for a very quick hello! I need to get out of work and run some errands....

Yesterday was nuts...I had to fly to Connecticut for the day for work...missed the morning flight due to horrible lines at security and missing my exit to the parking garage....took a later flight...met up with co-workers...met with a vendor....had lunch....then 5 of us rushed to the airport and YEP....missed our flight home! Took a later one. What a day!

Today has been non-stop at work, but I had to say HELLO!

Susie - I was so happy to see you pop back in. I think about you often.

Hi and Hugs to all!!! Dh is going to be gone tomorrow night, so at the very least I hope to have time to catch up with you all then.
Love Ya!

Hey everyone

No, I did not get lost somewhere in the great big state of Texas! It has just taken me this much time to get back on top of things and all caught up on my reading.

My vacation was great!!! I came home so relaxed and ready to hit the world running. The real world did kind of hit me in the face when no one was at the airport to pick me up. Turns out Adam thought my flight was due in 8 hours later than it was. I only had to wait 2 hours while that was straightened out.

Now, for the cool news. I was really good with food and exercise while I was gone, making room for indulgences but keeping them small. Getting on the scale today, I'm actually down another pound! I was so happy to not have lost ground. I never want to see the upside of 300 again!!!

The results are still coming in for our Curves contest, and it is apparent that I didn't win. The woman who was on top as of today did so well, though! She lost a seriously impressive 23.5 lbs. and 24 inches in 6 weeks! I lost 17 lbs. and 12 inches. I know how much work mine took. I have no idea how this other woman managed her high numbers. She is really excited though, and looks terrific. When we spoke today, she told me that she is 9 lbs. from her goal weight. I can hardly wait to be there myself!

I'm feeling a little cut loose with the challenge over, so I'm trying to decide on the next big goal for myself. I'm 9 lbs. from a 50 lb. weight loss. That sounds pretty darn good, got to admit. Besides, it puts me in the 280's. What I would really like to see is the 260's. I haven't been there in about 13 years! I only have two items in my closet left from that era. I kept this amazing robe and a satin nightgown. The robe is the super thick, soft cotton type with big pockets and a deep hood, and the nightie is just gorgeous. I couldn't bear to part with them. Actually, they were probably closer to the 220-240's... Hard to remember back that far.

One way I'm making sure to keep moving forward is by taking a fitness class at the school. It is two credits and an easy A if you show up regularly. You have to complete 45 hours and show up a minimum of two times a week for an hour session each time. I'll still be going to Curves, but I wanted to mix things up a bit by adding in more walking and some bike riding. Since I'm not quite confident enough to head out on a real bike, I'll spend some quality time with a stationary one!

Ah, one more cool thing that I almost forgot. I've finally lost enough that my fat % can be measured! I showed up at 49.4% today! I know some would just look at that and only be able to think how high it is, but I was so thrilled to have a number in front of me, something concrete. Besides, even though I don't know how high it was to start, this means I'm making real progress!!!

I've spent too long catching up to do replies right now, but I do have to say that there has been some really cool stuff going on around here. Grats to Lucky on those long walks and to Thin for her Pilates machine/torture device!

Got to run make dinner and get a nap before work tonight. Love to you all!

Andria

Andria!

I'm so thrilled for you! You are doing great.

Hey, I've got a little challenge going on over in the journal community. A few of us who have been stalled for the last few months have set a goal to lose 2 pounds by 8/31. Nothing more. Just lose 2 pounds to get moving again.

Anyone want to do that here?

Kat - I hope you got a good nap in! And yes, we need pictures!

Okay, I'm outta here. to everyone!

Well friends... another good day here.
Good breakfast and lunch. SMALL portion sizes. Well to me small... lol .. to the rest of the world they would call it normal.

I exercised in the pool for 45 minutes. I even tried to exercise on my dusty cardio glide .... but the girls set the tension too tight for me. I will have to have hubby loosen it. But I am proud of my willingness to do more exercising.

I drank more water ... I even turned down dessert TWICE today. (where is the smilie patting yourself on your back?)

Mary... you don't sound like you enjoyed yourself too much. "Ready to go back to work" That does not sound good. LOL

Susie... I understand the "OUCH" for the abs.
I am just holding my stomach in during my water exercising... and I can feel it.

kat....<SNORT>

Barb... it sounds like you could use a hug. What a day you had.

Andria... You sound soooo HIGH !! I just loved reading your post. Glad everything is going so well for you. CONGRATULATIONS on all of your success !!!

Terri... 2lbs... I will commit to those 2lbs.

Lucky... this posting is VERY time consuming. I swore I wasn't going to do replies... and here I am... doing replies. What can I say... I just love you guys.

Okay.. I am out of here.

Terri
Kat

Anyone else? Let's see how many pounds for the group we can lose by 8/31.

Snorting? Next will be farting.

There should be little smilies for those.

Have a great day!
