Heading back in the right direction this week! Now to control myself and keep my body moving for the next 3 days while we are out of town and tempted by the buffets in Atlantic City.
Angela - 11.5 pounds is WONDERFUL!!! Don't let yourself get frustrated with it. Slow and steady is great!!!
Kat - Very impressive weigh-in after vacation! WooHOo!
Skittles - Super Job on the 15 pounds down!!!
Barb.g - Vacations are tough! You'll get those 8 pounds off in no time!
Hey guys - I'm gonna join y'all over here - I need some accountability now that my sister is going to be GAINING weight - and not trying to lose it! It's a good thing for her - and I know after the baby comes, she'll lose it all fast again. Anyway, here goes:
Gotta get my bod moving more , eat better - was doing great for a while but those foods keep attacking me! . Okay, I'm a liar it's me who attacks them! . Also am going to focus on drinking more water. It's not that I don't like it, I just don't take the time - and I know that sounds crazy, but when I have a house full of kids, all my needs - and I meanALL of them come last - imagine that!
Great going everyone! The scale has made me accountable also, I have lost 7lbs since I first weighed last week. It's a very small step, I weighed 357 when i got the scales, so I have a long way to go...but something is always better than nothing. I read your stories for inspiration.
I am thinking about a lap pool for my yard. I live so far from anyplace that there is no facility close to home for me to swim at. There is one close to work, the Y. I already get up at 4 to be in the office at 6:30, out at 3:30 and home by 6 (or more if traffic is very heavy) so a lap pool in the yard sounds like my best solution. Does anyone else have a lap pool at home? I would like to use it year-round so it must be heated...
Today was good, I had the Grandkids over, cooked on the grill so I could not only have supper tonight, but use grilled meat in my lunch salads or rice dishes for the week.
I don't have a pool, and will probally not get one at home because we belong to a health club that has two, and we go every day, but this is the site of the pool we would get. I have talked to people who have them and they say they are wonderful.http://www.endlesspool.com/index.html
Just a quick check in. I weighed in this morning and have maintained from last week. I guess that's good. At least I haven't gained any. Food this last week was the worst it's been for a long time! Really, someone needs to come up here and kick me in the rear or slap me upside the head!
Anyway, I'm back on track today and will (hopefully) keep it up.
Everyone have a good, healthy, exercise , water filled day! And we'll all make simutaneous trips to the john with all that water we're drinking Hopefull we won't feel like we're floating away!

Expecting AF anytime now so I think a bit of this can be attributed to the bloating and water retention. And, some to DH's B-day cake I had this week. One day at a time! Turning this around!
Hey, all, didn't get to check in here for 2 weeks. Down 1.5 pounds since last weigh-in; hips measuring 65 inches (down from 65.5). (Thanks for the encouragement, BarbPA.)
Don't think I'll be wearing that summer dress in 3 weeks at the English Dept. beginning-of-the-year faculty party Well, I've been doing fine with calorie targets but not exercise, so my goal for this week is a mere 10 minutes a day.
I'm down one pound from last week. Hip measurement, not surprisingly, hasn't changed: 65 inches (yikes). Did not meet my modest exercise goal last week (10 minutes of something aerobic daily). Still think it's a reasonable goal and will try it again this week.
Hang in there, BarbPA--those little fluctuations happen to us all. And the trend is downward, which is the main point!
I use Friday as my weigh in, but wanted to pop in for a moment. The scale was back to 296 today so I think I am started to break back through my yo-yo. On target for the 2 pound challenge!
Angela - No change is better than the opposite! Your goal of 10 minutes a day is a great start! Let us know!!!
