Hi! Me Again! I just had a yummy lunch from Panera - Soup w/ FF Dressing and onion soup. That's my new favorite place to get a healthy meal.

Andria - Day 12!!! WooHoo! Keep it up!!!

Judy --- So good to see you back!

Susie - C'mon, I know you can do this! It's hard when work is stressfull --- keep some healthy treats at your desk and grab those when you feel the need to munch.

Back to work I go.....

Hugs to all!

Huh? Soup with FF Dressing? Is this something new I've not tried???

Barb, I'm guessing Salad. Sounds scrumptuous.

Talking Oh, to be 34 again!

Happy Birthday, Tina!
<---Hey! New smilies!

Soooooooooo, where the heck is the guest of honor??

I hope your day is fun filled and special just like you!

Boy, I'm gone all day and you guys have blasted through the old thread and onto a new one! It was great coming back to lots of posts and a newbie in our ranks! Welcome, Jeanine!

I was down in Steph's area today! Hi Steph! Are you still lurking? Time to come back to the fold, my child! I had to take my son for his check up at the heart and lung center where he had surgery as a baby. He goes back every two years for tests, and passed once again, with flying colors! I must say, other than having had surgery, the boy has NEVER been sick a day in his life!! (knocking wood here, crossing fingers, toes and eyes!)

We stopped to see my parents on our way home. Turns out my dad has a mass in his throat...he's going to an ENT specialist on Monday to arrange for a biopsy. If you would, please say a quick prayer for my dad. A nicer guy you will never meet...he'd give anyone the shirt off his back.

Barb...Saturday morning would be great for me! Now Michelle, what about you, Missy?

Start spreadin' the news, We're leavin' today....
we want to be a part of it...
NEW YORK, NEW YORK!

We're coming, Terri!! Won't this be fun?

Andria...day 12! You are my hero!

uh oh, I smell dinner burning, gotta run!

Kat...I just caught up with the threads...glad to hear your daughter and her friends were ok. My nephew's best friend from school was a passenger in a car accident and he died last weekend. Really sad...he was only 19 years old. Its just so scary to think that we could lose our children. I don't think I am going to let Andrew drive until he is 30 !!!

Ok you all...I was just procrastinating with my school work...gotta go finish it and get it submitted.

TTFN Michelle

Hey everyone

It is raining and raining and raining! So cool! We've been in a drought long enough now that they say we need one good rainstorm every week for a year to replenish our water supply. That's a lot of water.

Today has been good. They've finally decided to take a serious look at the applications for my position. They are deciding on two at town council meeting next week. I hope they do it in executive session instead of in front of everyone. They plan to interview those two people the following week. Yeah, I'm a little nervous, but I should make the first cut. Either way, the waiting will be over. They've been dragging their feet on this for nearly 3 months now, and job or no job, I think I deserve to know one way or the other. Oh, and the clerk realized she had underpaid me by $120 between my first two paychecks, and I get that money tomorrow. That was really good news!

DD is making dinner for us tonight and I just realized the leftover spaghetti sauce I had her using has bits of pasta in it. Doh! That means I have about 5 minutes to come up with an idea for the little one's dinner before I have to run off to a meeting! Wish me luck, cause I've got to run put on the SuperMom cloak really fast!

Andria

Saturday morning would work for me too in New Yawk City.

We'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt Hotel which is on Park & 42nd street (I think). It says its next to Grand Central Station.

My free time is 9 am to 1 pm.

Food was only so-so today. DH had such a miserable night and on top of being tired and cranky from that; I had dull cramps. I'm going through a phase right now that I'm blaming on hormones but salad just isn't appealing. While I didn't eat non-stop or totally out-of-control; I ate things that were high in points. Its accounted for in my journal, so I will just move on and try to make today the only day of doing that.

On the exercise front, I got home in time to get on the treadmill a little bit before church class. I'm determined to get going on exercise that is more than the dog walk again. I only did 12 minutes but it was mostly jogging on the treadmill then walking until I could jog again. It felt good and it was a start. My goal is to be able to jog a mile on the treadmill - not sure how long it will take me to get there but that's a goal.

I did bundle up to walk the dog when I got home from church. I must be a sight out in the neighborhood - big black dog, hooded camo hunting jacket, and scarf around my face. A beautiful night with the stars out. The dog doesn't even know its cold - just that he wants to walk!

I better turn this off and go to bed. Since I have the wireless router working again, I'm working on this while laying in bed. Goofy as it sounds, that thrills me.

Goodnight all!

Angry

Hi guys... just peeking in to see if Tina saw all the LOVE sent her way.
I was saddened to not see her.
I don't want anyone to worry about her... I spoke to her and she is okay.
If we all focus REALLY really hard ... together maybe we can send our karma over to her and "will her" into posting.... ready... send those vibes NOW!!!

Can't stay long... just wanted to say I swam again today and it felt good.
My food was okay... went to my favorite Mexican restaurant so I ate too many chips and salsa.. but brought half my dinner home.

I mainly came here tonight for one reason.
And that was to tell ALL OF YOU how very very special you are to me.

I am amazed how you all spend the entire day with me.
While swimming I think of each of you and the activities you are doing to improve your health. I think of the soul searching many of you are doing. I admire your enthusiasm, your commitment, your sense of humor. I just really love and appreciate each and every one.

I am truly saddened when you don't post.
It truly hurts a little bit inside when don't even say hello.
I think of Sandy, Tina, Sara, Connie... to name only a few off the top of my head.... and wish you would post again.

I have a friend who told me about this 3fc site. She had a group that had been together longer than we have been.
That group has folded and disappeared because people always assumed someone else would keep it going.
Well.. the day came when no one showed up any more.

Although I don't see that in our immediate future.... it is always possibilty.
WE make this group work. And without the we it is just an I ... and I don't have a very good track record of doing this on my own. "I" tend to give up on myself. But WE keep each other going... even if it is being drug along. LOL

I am rambling... sorry.
Just know.... I LOVE AND APPRECIATE EACH OF YOU !!!

Hi all, thanks for the welcome. I thought the soup and FF dressing was funny too

Well I do have a couple of small goals that didn't have to do with actual weight but the way I eat or what I choose to eat. 1. stop eating fast food...I am a fast food junkie. 2. stop drinking regular pop or should I say cola

So today was a small victory for me. I didn't eat any fast food. I made all my meals today. I did drink 1 glass of regular pop but it was the last of a 2liter so now I only have water, milk and diet pepsi in the refrig. I just have to resist the temptation of the vending machine at work - lol.

I understand that I should not be concentrating on # of lbs but I'm a numbers person... I can't help it :P but I'll do my best to not let it bring me down.

Thanks again for all the encouraging thoughts.

MORNIN' MORNIN' MORNIN'!

40 - 60 mph winds with rain turning to snow later in the day. Doesn't it sound lovely? (Yeah sure!) Wish I was at home instead of work but I need the $'s. What can I say?

I need to get exercising too. You've all heard that before. Have my meals all planned out for the day. Now I just need to STICK to my plan.

Have a happy, OP day,
Back later,

Good morning!

Get your butts out of bed! Make a special goal for this day and get at it. Haven't been exercising? Choose something and do it. Been eating too much? Then STOP IT! Too lazy to plan your food? Too whiney to journal? KNOCK IT OFF! No more self-sabatoge for this day. Offended anyone yet?

Yes, I am talking to myself first and foremost.

DH did finally make it to the doc. Yes, I've been asking for 3 weeks now. Dumba$$ has walking pneumonia/bronchitus. Do you know how hard it was not to say "dumba$$"?? He has a strong antibiodic so he should be improved by the weekend. At least we slept much better last night.

Judy - Welcome back! I missed you! After reading about your weather - I will not complain about ours! It will be brisk but the sun will be out and I'm planning on a walk at lunch.

Jeannie - Good plan on getting rid of your two big bad food choices. Concentrate on a little at a time. Gain success then move on to something else. Good luck!

2Cute - Here here! Very well said. Good for you for getting back to swimming. Make up for the chips and salsa today by eating a little less today.

Andria - You're doing awesome. Go girl! I don't blame you about the job frustration. I get kind of crazed when I can't get resolution to things like that. Hang in there!.

Michelle - That is so sad about that young man. It just goes to show that we never know when it will happen to us or our family and that we need to cherish each and every moment as best we can.

Kat - I'm a little belated but I'm glad to see that your DD is okay. I'm sorry to see about your dad but I'll be praying that it turns out to be nothing much. {{{{hug}}}} I can't hardly wait for NYC. You're always an inspiration on the exercise front so keep working hard!

Barb - Good for your for getting back in the groove. You also inspire me to keep moving. I tried pilates for abs CD but lordy it was tough. I too can do great throughout the week and lose my mind on the weekend. Something we have to conquer to we can keep that darn scale moving downwards.

Susie - Read my opening paragraph. Back away from the food! Go to WW on Saturday but don't make the gain any worse. You CAN DO this. Haul yourself back on the wagon, girl!

Pam - Its always a joy to read your posts. You've done great this year and now you're tackling remodeling!! Doesn't it feel great to be able to do all that? Keep strong and smiling!

Mary - How's that new computer!

Tina - You've got lots of people begging you to come back and who are a little saddened that you didn't stop by on your birthday. No one cares if you're OP or not - just that you're a friend who is missed. Take care.

I need to get moving so I can get to work.

Have a great day! Thanksgiving is looming rapidly for us in the lower states. Let's kick butt and keep our control so that we don't undo all our hard work.

See ya!

Its Survivor night!!

I hope Jonny Fairplay or whatever he calls himself gets booted. I truly dislike him. I finally got caught up with last weeks and where did that come from? Why Savage? He was good looking even in his bagging shorts (bet he was glad he wasnt wearing silky bikinis) and his suit jacket.
