Typing on the desk computer today, so won't have problems with Safari and the Wi-Fi connection.
SilentArctic -- There are a whole lot of time where <3 is exactly what's needed!
Dean -- Any special plans for the weekend. I'm waiting for the day when Toby gets to the point where he snoozes for a while in the morning. They do bring us a lot of happiness though.
Terra -- Your schedule would wear me out. Seems like there are a lot of mornings where you get up in what is the middle of the night. Trouble sleeping or is it just going to bed early? Hope you get your walks in -- how's the foot doing?
Sam -- I wouldn't just be tired, I'd be exhausted. Good for you on getting your mojo back. Have a great weekend.
Donna -- I've heard Welsh spoken and am in awe of anyone who can learn it. Language skills is not one of my core competencies! Congrats on the beautiful outfit -- sounds like you got a great deal and having the mother-of-the-bride dress out of the way is so relaxing. Your post was so upbeat -- glad you are having some really good thing happening for you.
Ubee -- Glad you posted and hope it helps that all of us were/are worried (concerned?) about you. Hope you don't put yourself too far back on the burner.
Anticakechick -- I wrote out all my ideas on ways to combat the munchies yesterday and lost them, but since I appreciate getting new ideas, I'll try to remember what my suggestions were. First, for me there isn't one thing that works, but rather an arsenal of "tricks" that get rotated through. Obviously I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to maintaining some will power. Things I've tried that have helped: a) putting up a calendar of the month on the frig and highlighting each day that I stay on plan b) posting pictures of me at my current weight and ones that I can find from when I was a lot, lot, lot thinner c) put signs on the cupboards that say STOP and d) making out a list of all of the things that are wrong with you physically because of the weight (can't run, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, etc.). Like I said, I have to rotate through these because eventually I don't even see the STOP sign on the cupboard. One of thing that is almost a must is to get the forbidden foods out of the house. That's a lot easier when you live alone like I do. But if you get stuff for when your son is there, either send it back with him or else throw it away or put it in a cabinet/box that can be locked and then freeze the key in a cube of ice. Hope some of those help. Fi's idea about keeping your hands busy is important as well as finding alternative foods that will satisfy your salt and sugar cravings.
MissBB -- Thanks for the info on the best times to come visit Australia. While I enjoy seeing the city "stuff" I'm really more of an outdoor person. But I would melt in really high heat.
Lots to get done today in preparation for my grand nephew's birthday party tomorrow. I need to decorate his cake, the house needs to be vacuumed (again!), time to change the linens and do a couple of loads of laundry, and whatever my BIL needs help with. I've got my meals all planned out for the day, am getting ready to go to the gym, and plan on bringing Becky back to play with Toby. Maybe I can get them both worn out. Have a great day.
We're going to be working an adoption event for the rescue group we've fostered for this weekend. Since we adopted our two pups, we haven't fostered or attended that many events, but they needed a few extra hands this weekend.
I'm sure we'll do our best to get out and enjoy the weather, too. Lots of fall festival type events around.
I woke up at 1 this morning with a toothache and its 2:01 a.m. now and I still have my toothache, This totally sucks, Hopefully it goes away soon so I can go back to bed for a couple of hours before getting back up for the rest of the day. Today Scott and I are going to the mall at 9 am until 1 or 2:30 pm so we're looking forward to doing that. I know I will get alot of exercise today walking around in the mall for 5 or 6 hours.

Well, as of tonight I can announce that I've had three 0/0/0 days in a row: no depression pain, no jittery mania. It may seem like a small accomplishment, but I feel like I'm sailing the ship of my fragile psyche through waters with hidden rocks all around me, so just making it through safely is something to feel good about.
Oh! and I made a collage today. I haven't uploaded it to Ipernity yet (that's the site with no annoying ads), but when I do, tomorrow, I'll give y'all the link.
My Qigong instructor was very helpful when I told him about my recent experiences of +1 and +2 states. I was in +1 when I came for my app't, actually, and pretty miserable about it: he sat down in front of me and showed me some very simple things to do to bring myself down, doing the movements himself so I could learn by copying him. In a matter of minutes I was firmly in zero, with a smile on my face.
That's all I have the energy to say. I just wanted to report in. Weight loss is the last thing on my mind these days.
Happy weekend lovely people! I hope it's been splendid!
Ours was hot. Hot, hot, hot. The pool hasn't quite caught up with the outdoor temps (it's solar heated, and takes a week of really hot weather to lose it's winter chill), so made do in the river today. Went fishing with my dad in this rather wonderful and secluded part of the world. Good to get away from the books for an afternoon!
Hello everybody! Well it's my 48th birthday today and I have decided that my life begins NOW.....not 20, or 50 or 100 lbs lighter....right now darn it!
Miss BB your swimming sounds absolutely perfect! We do swim in the sea in the Summer but the temp is still pretty nippy even in a heat wave! And I would NEVER and I mean never be seem in a full length wetsuit.....even skinny chicks look chunky in a wetsuit!
Fiona...it is so lovely to see your figures so low. The Tai Chi seems to be having a wonderful effect! I used to do a lot of Yoga and found it incredibly beneficial. I guess I am out of the habit now, although I do have Yoga on the Wii I could be doing!
Ubee....thinking of you lovely...how are things?
I did the Memory Walk in aid of the Alzheimer's Society today. I had planned the 10km but ended up doing the shorter 2km one and feeling OK about it. I took the puppy who had a ball and is now fast asleep! I walked with my friend who lost her Mum to dementia too, although her Mum was 97 and mine was 64, it's still the same pain. They had 2,000 people at this one and it is happening all over the UK so they raise a great amount of money for a great cause!
Having a relaxing afternoon as hubby and son are making tea!
Hey Guys!!! Quick check in I'm about to leave to go do makeup for a wedding but I wanted to check in and let you know my hard work paid off this week!! I lost 5 lbs putting me at 261.6!!! I'm just 1.6 lbs away from being at an 80 lb loss!!! I still need to measure myself but don't have time to do it until later. Hope everyone has an awesome day!!
Good morning all from the absolutely beautiful Northwest -- may even have to get outside and do some of the yard work and not complain about it because rainy season will be upon us too soon.
Sam -- WOO WOO!!!! Way to rock it girl. Hope the wedding went well and that you got to enjoy it as well. 80 pounds in sight is a great accomplishment.
Donna -- Happy Birthday to a fellow Libra. Hope your day was perfect in every way. Congratulations on completing the walk but especially on deciding that life starts now.
MIssBB -- Oh my. I think I'll go cruise through Kayak and look at air fares to Australia. I would be so calm after a day spent in this beautiful spot.
Fi -- Glad to see that you're having strings of day of being on an even keel. Glad you're finding techniques that are helping with equalizing you.
Terra -- How's the toothache. That's miserable and especially on a weekend where getting in to see a dentist is just about impossible. Hope it's feeling some better today.
Dean -- How did the adoption event go? Sounds like you lead a very full and rewarding life. Were you able to go to any of the fall festivals in the area? Always love going to those.
Ubee -- I'm including you in the personals because I miss you (we all do) and hope that you're doing ok.
I've gotten 10 pounds off of the 30 I need to lose to get back to my low weight point.......which was still over 300 pounds so no where near the end. I've gone back on IF and having the 16 hour break from eating does seem to help me immensely. Went up for the birthday party yesterday and managed to eat reasonably. I've got a busy week coming up and that always helps with staying on plan as well. I definitely want to be back to my low by the end of the year. Hope everyone has a great day.

As promised, I'm back with the link to my new collage, titled "falling yes I am falling". If you want to see a larger version against black, just click on it. Enjoy the Beatles song, too! =smile=
MissBB— What a gorgeous spot! Will you do me a favor and divulge the apparently super-secret info (since I can't seem to find it) about how to embed an image in your posting like that? Is there any special size the image needs to be? What size was yours? I would appreciate knowing that trick very much!
And last but not least, Happy Birthday Donna! I very much applaud your decision to start your life now, and not wait one more second, not for any reason.
Betsy ~ It went away thankfully. By the way I forgot to answer your question about how my foot is doing. Its doing better, I got my new shoes yesterday so tomorrow morning I'm gonna go for my morning walk with my new shoes for the first time so hopefully my foot pain will be better with my new shoes but we'll see, I'll keep you and everyone else posted.

I woke up at 7:00 am this morning, W-A-Y- later then my usually 5 am time so I wont wake up that late again. Anyway since I've gotten my new shoes My mom bought me a shoe horn to help me put on my shoes so that the heel part doesnt fold inward so I'll still practicing with the shoe horn, I get my right shoe on without any problem but I have a heck of a time with my left one, Mom says its due to my C.P. cause my left is stiffer then my right one but I'm sure I'll be able to put my left one on easier the more I get used to using the shoe horn. I at least hope it gets easier. My plans for today are to take a shower and do my 2 mile walk tonight and thats it.
Down 30lb. I say this to people and they are like omg that amazing... But i domt feel amazing. I strated at 321 so 30 pounds really isnt that much. I feel like i wont begin to feel satisfaction until i can visually see a difference. Dontget me wrong i like seeing lower numbers onthe scale.. But i dont feel people should be congratulate me for being 290... Anyone else feel like this?
