Default 300+ Workout buddy

Hello My name is Elisha im 20 and till now I can't seem to stay on track and it's killing me.. I've been heavy most of my life and at first i didn't see a big deal until i realized that my life may end too early if i don't do something about it... I've been trying to lose weight for a while and I think this is an opportunity to stop slacking and bust my butt. I just need a person that is going through what im going through so we have eachother to lean on and motivate.. whether you are miles away or not i can keep in touch and give eachother advice on what works for one another etc. if you are interested please comment or send me a message.. the more the merrier. Thanks again

HI Elisha,
I know what you are going through, and I'm glad you are trying now to stay on track....don't wait like I have....I'm now 53 and it gets harder and harder to lose the weight as you get older. It looks like you have lost some of the weight from where you started at....good for you. In fact you weigh a little less then I do at the moment. I just keep telling myself if I can just get past New Year's day I can really put my mind to it. But I know it's hard to stay on track. I live a long ways from you, but I'm also right there with you. (I was born in Virginia and most of my extended family still lives there. I'm a Hampton Girl)
If you ever need to talk, just post, I try to check every day to stay in touch.
You go girl and hang in there.
Rhonda

I'm 26 and I'd be happy to have a workout buddy from afar. Feel free to message me.

Hi Elisha,
hmmmm, I would like to keep in touch with you, but not through personal email information. Many of us get on here so that we can help each other out, but like the fact that our personal contact information is kept private.
I will always be notified if you get on this link....so please let us know how you are doing with your weight loss? So far I have found that this first week of the new year has been hard. But I'm happy to say that each day is getting a little better about my choices of what I eat. I'm forcing myself to exercise, which though I hate it, I'm already seeing results and sleeping better at night. So keep up the good work.

Thanks. Yeah sometimes it's just easier to do back to back but this works too. I won't blow up this page but Today i made a fitness tracker on my phone and its one of the best ive had and it keeps me a bit more motivated with a pedometer and points and a bikini motivation. I've been slacking but not horribly i've just been maintaining a weight i don't want to maintain anymore... I have a workout that im gonna start back on and since the weather has been pretty if im too lazy to do the workout ill walk for a bit to even things out. i'm gonna try and start going to the gym so hopefully that will help me out a lot more.

Good for you!!!
Even making a small change always helps for the better. I can't afford a gym, but I like to walk...only the weather in Oregon during this time of year is very wet and cold. But my son loaned me his Wii game and I got the Wii Fit Plus for it. So even if I can't walk outside, I can still do a workout inside. It's a lot harder then I thought it would be and at the end of an hour, I've got a pretty good sweat going. HA Did not think at my age I would be working out to a Wii game....
I know you can do this, we all have bad days, but take a deep breath and start all over again the next morning and put the bad day behind you.
So tomorrow, plan on doing at least a 20 minute walk, just make yourself do it no matter what and then let me know how you did? I had to start out with only 15 minutes, that's how out of shape I was in....I've worked up to between 30 minutes and a hour each day now.
Don't forget to tell me how you did and be truthful....
Rhonda

Well Rhonda I Didn't go outside since it was pouring rain and I live on hilly and i mean hilly areas so if i even tried to walk i'd slip and twist my ankle no joke but i tried to keep moving in my house not sitting too much to make up for it. I do have a gold's gym cardio game that I do enjoy playing and i want the biggest loser game for wii along with the balance board but I guess i'll have to make do. I'm doin well tho im still losing I just want to up my game a little more Which I will do.
