Default Fat Calves?

Ah so idk if this in the right spot, lol, but I have pretty BIG calves and I can never find boots that will fit them. The winter time is coming up and I really want some cute boots to wear with my winter clothes. Does anyone else have big calves and know where the best place to purchase boots for said calves?

I've definitely got this problem too! If you don't mind purchasing online, you can find great deals by just searching 'wide calf boots' on Amazon. If you'd rather go out and buy them though, Torrid's boots are fashionable but made specifically for bigger gals

I'm nervous about purchasing online just because I am so unfamiliar with sizing of boots and such. I've literally never owned a pair, lol.

My town actually just got a Torrid not that long ago. I LOVE IT THERE!! Funny enough I have never looked at their shoes. I will definitely check them out! Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that Amazon allows returns on most, if not all, of their stuff, specifically things like shoes and clothes because of that reason! If you don't find anything you like at Torrid, just check the fine print online - it's pretty likely that returns are very easy. Good luck and you're welcome!

I know you said you're nervous about online shopping, but I highly suggest checking out Zappos. They started off selling shoes (they sell other stuff now as well) and they literally have thousands of styles. You can shop by size, width, heel height, shaft height, shaft width.... All kinds of search options. My mom can only wear certain shoes because of her particular needs (really wide feet, really big calves) and so when she came up to visit and needed winter boots for the first time, we got her a pair from them. I almost exclusively get my shoes from them (I've got pretty big feet myself) and they offer two day shipping and a 365 day return policy. I highly recommend them, even if you're just looking for ideas

For any UK girls out there I bought a lovely pair of wide boots in Evans last year...they look amazing and fit beautifully.

Some manufacturers will give you the circumference of the boot shaft so you can have a good idea whether or not they'll fit. (Check out, for example, the boots at SimplyBe; they'll give you charts for their different widths.) I've found it impossible to get a tall boot that my calf will fit into, but I recently got some lace-up booties with a heel and even though I don't normally take a wide width in shoe, I went ahead and got wide width; the laces allow more flexibility than a zipper. I'm happier than I was without boots

Good luck.

I live in Canada, so i don't know if you have these stores, but Addition Elle and Penningtons sell boots for wide calves.

Lane Bryant and Avenue also have wide width boots in their stores, and you might find booties at Fashion Bug. They are going out of business so all are on sale.

One Stop Plus / Roaman's / Woman Within offer wide calf boots, however, they do NOT have free return shipping like Zappos and Amazon. Sometimes they have coupon codes that you can use that will give you a % off an item AND free return shipping, which are like gold to me. There was one in the Sunday paper, actually. However, I don't find that their shoes are very comfortable.

there's an amazing product called bootband. I think the website is bootband.com, even if your boots don't fit, it's an insert with a zipper you can just attach to any boot to make it fit!
