Hello, my name is Frances, I'm 26, 5'8" and weigh in at about 380lbs. I've recently decided it's time for me to get back in the groove of getting healthy. Just over a year ago, I made a commitment to start getting to the gym and eating right. I lost about 50lbs and a good 30 in total during the first 6-7mos. This past Feb, I got a promotion to a position over an hour from home. At first, I was trying to make the gym work with my schedule, but with traffic, and then forced overtime, I saw the gym less and less, and the stress of learning and performing at my new job just made me so tired, I stopped going altogether. I haven't been to my gym since August. I've gained back most of what i lost, and I hate how my clothes look and feel, and how tired I am. I have decided, with my fiance's help, to get back to exercising and healthier eating. He's better at sticking with the exercising than I am. He *likes* to run. Ick. He's a lot smaller than me, about 225lbs right now, so some of the time, I don't think he understands how hard it is for me, or how embarrassed I get trying to do some of the same stuff he can do. He's getting better tho, and learning, which is great. I don't have any close friends tho that I can turn to for support. I haven't really bonded with anyone at the new office, and I don't live close to most ppl who work there, so I wanted to try looking online for support. I'm hoping that support from here and from my fiance, coupled with my desire to get back on track will help in round 2.
The plan is to start slow, walking at first everyday and building up to adding weights back in and also making up a meal plan to buy groceries for and follow each week. Something
along the lines of 5-6 meals a day, the main 3 and then snacks, in the ball park caloric range of 1600-1900 cal/day. I know lots of lean protein and veggies and some fruit and fiber and healthy fats. Hopefully this time, we can stick to it till we get to our goals.
Any comments or suggestions welcome, I would love some support buddies
