300+ Sweeeeet September Exercise Thread
WELCOME!!!! to the September exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process! In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month! In 2007 the 300+ club exercised 205,352 minutes. Let’s break that record! To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes We've made a great start and I'd love to see us hit 20K minutes again for August!!! I'm thinking that my September exercise goal will be 1200 minutes. It's higher than I was initially thinking given how busy things get, but I think I want to challenge myself.

I'm in again.... my goal will be 1800 minutes this month.

I think I'm going to shoot for 2,000 minutes in September; although I passed 2,000 mins in August, we will be shutting down the pool after Labor Day, and I'll be in class/my internship, so I'll have to bust my butt to get in the minutes, but I do love a challenge. :)

I am going to make my first goal 500 minutes!
I am hoping in future months that will increase, but considering now I am doing approximately 0 minutes, I am excited about setting a goal! |

I have really slacked on exercise this summer and my weight shows it.My goal is 1000 min , but Im hoping to do much more!

2 1/2 hours (estimated) !!! of walking around the mall. My eyes and my feet are satisfied :D -- 150 today: 10 min of stairclimbing 10 min of walking Total = 170 / 1200 Group Total = 195 + 170 = 365 min |

I did 40 minutes yesterday...20 minutes walking and 20 minutes on the bike And today I did 40 minutes of powerwalking... 80 minutes! Goal...80/640 (40 minutes 4x a week!) Group total = 575 + 80 = 655! |
This month I will have a house guest for 7 days. (My brother will be here to run the Lake Tahoe Marathon!) I'm not sure how much exercise I'll be able to get in while he's here. During the normal weeks of the month I'm aiming for 660 Minutes each week. My monthly goal will be 2400 minutes for September. I have to travel next month so I NEED to get moving and be more fit so when I fly I'll be more comfy.
Tuesday: 60 Minutes Step/Sculpt + 7 minutes on the treadmill afterwards until my legs turned to Jelly. *L* = 67 Minutes Personal For Month of September: 67 Minutes Goal for Month = 2400 Minutes Group: 655 + 67 = 722 minutes |
