Catherine, sounds like you got a good workout and you had so much fun!! I've gotta try that one of these days.
Mimi, YAY on the 1 lb gone!!! And YAY for going out and getting the WATP dvds and going to get your ball. It sounds like you're ready to really take care of yourself!! Those are all great NSV's!!! Keep it up. Good luck to you on the BC too. I really hope it helps with your emotions.
Debi, :congrats: on being a new grandma!!! How exciting! What did they name her?
FireDust, hi and
Annie, have fun getting a massage. I hope it feels super good!!
Bunny, ooooooooo another crafter!!! YAY!!! What kind of class are you teaching?
I'm back into my routine again, thankfully. Over the weekend when Jim is home, it's just too tempting to eat what he does and therefore, by Monday, I have a gain. Sooooooooo, I'm NOT going to do that anymore no matter what it takes. I'll just keep losing the same weight over and over again and that's not where I want to be. I would really love for this weight loss to be over by next April. That will be 2 years trying to do this. I'm not going to set myself up for a failure though, just something to look forward to.
So I got my exercise in already, now I just have to go get my breakfast and then off to make some beads!
Debbie
Annie – thanks for the encouragement. I hope your first ever massage was fabulous. And, if it wasn’t, don’t give up on massage. The massage therapist, modality they are using, and amount of experience all make a difference. If this one didn’t wow you, try again. And, why did you go to work on a mail holiday? Makes no sense that they’d make you come in when they have nothing for you to do!!
Debbie – thanks for the kind words. You are right, these are all great NSV’s. I’m working on racking those up as the pounds melt away. I’m a crafter too! Not as advanced as the rest of you, judging from the etsy shops I’ve seen, but I love crafting! I really enjoy sewing (do LOTS of that), and polymer clay, and paper crafts.
cfmama – 18 days on plan? WOW. I’m impressed and super proud of you. Keep up the good work!
Leslie Sansone has kicked my butt again. Did the 1-mile walk today plus the abs video; my legs and butt muscles are sore – in a good way!!! I love it. I also noticed that my body’s been craving protein. So I’ve had a heavy protein day – protein drink for post-workout, eggs and meat for breakfast and lunch. Not enough veggies today though. I need to take myself to Trader Joe’s and do some serious shopping.
Hope you are all doing great! Keep up the good work everyone!
Thanks guys...yeah the weekend was not so good, but I am moving on for sure.
I bought a new scale...bah! Turns out mine was way off. Tonight, just trying it, it said I weighed around 295, not 265, so I'll see what it says in the morning. A bit of a blow, but at least I'll know for sure how much I weigh with this better scale.
The water aerobics teacher worked my backside off again. I feel like the incredible rubber woman, except my hand. It seems like the new thing is book clubs buying my book, and I just signed 70 in one sitting to send out. Someone is coming over tomorrow to personally pick them up, and to formally invite me to attend their first meeting. I'm hoping it's on a night when I have something else to do. I'm uncomfortable with the gushing. What I usually do is take pictures with me of some of the people from the book. Gives people a face to go with a character, and gets them talking about them instead of me.
I am exhausted today..going to see my granddaughter daily is exhausting after keeping 3 kidos all day long. Wish my son lived closer..its over an hour each way. It makes for a late night and my days starts at 5 with kids and goes till 5pm.
Scales are strange..shows me with a big gain..but i know its not real but i still dont like it!! Increasing water again today..gotta flush this out.
hugs to all
Happy Wednesday to all of you! The week is almost half over!
Today i was happy, the scale was down a little bit! Woohoo! I am PMS'ing, so I'm really surprised to see it didn't go up!
I had an interesting thing happen at work. We had cider and dougnuts for our clients. I avoided the doughnuts (which in and of itself is amazing), but decided to treat myself to some apple cider (half a glass). Well, amazingly, it seems, the cider was too sweet for me! I ended up pouring it out and drank water instead!
dgramie: CONGRATS on becomming a grandma!!!!!!!!!!
Firedust: WTG on choosing the water instead of the cider and doughnuts! YEAH!!!
As for me..just muddling along. My son's gf has had a tragic loss in her family and that brings me down. Her uncle died in a private plane crash saturday night in NewMexico. It was on the news here because they (her uncle and the friend in the plane) are both from Arizona. He has 3 kids...and the youngest girl whom is 3 keeps asking where her dad is. They tell her he is asleep and will be for a long time. I mean how do you tell a 3 year old their dad has died. Also saturday was the 3 year olds birthday. UGH!! If anyone prays...please say an extra one for her (madisons) family. I think that is why I have felt so Blah this week. Her uncle was only 42. I hate death...I dont deal with it very well..and this has not been a good year for that.
Well all I am going into work early again..more OT..lol ..and that pesky TOM is peaking around the corner...grouchy days here I come!!
Mimi, I'd love to see some of the stuff you make. Post some on the pic page!! It's good to hear that the WATP dvds are doing their job. Soon you'll be doing the 2 mile and then the 3. I've been thinking of going for the 2 mile here lately. The one mile is easy for me now, which it will be for you too, soon!
Jacquie, what did the scale say today? I hope it was good news.
Catherine, ah, the trials of being an accomplished writer! Sorry the hand hurts but glad you got a good workout at the pool. Keep signing those books and you're going to have a skinny hand!!
Debi, I bet that little bug is already growing like a weed! That would make for a long day with all the driving and then taking care of the little kidlets. Hang in there!
Firedust, YAY for dumping the cider and getting water and SUPER YAY for passing up those donuts!
Cyn, how devastating for the family. It was on the news here too. They will be in my thoughts and prayers. Try not to get to grumpy with TOM approaching even though I know how hard it is not to.
Have a great day everyone and get that exercise, water and the right foods into those bodies!!
Debbie
Bunny: It is hard not to think about what happened there when you drive over it. lol.
Firedust: That is great news that you recognized the cider being too sweet and you stopped drinking it!
Debbie: Having a plan is a great start! You can do it!
CF: Woo hoo for day 18!!!
Mimi: I agree having us work 1 hour was silly when they have full timers who could have kicked it out fast.
Jacquie: Just know that whatever the scale says it is just a starting point!
Catherine: I am so proud of you and your book.
Debi: I hope you can take a nap and get that tooth fixed!
Cyn: I will be praying for your Girlfriend's family.
Well, TOM has finally arrived with a vengence. lol. I am down 2 more pounds today! I hope that stays off. Only 3 more to go for my next goal. The massage was fantastic. I loved it so much and could have fallen asleep if I wasn't trying to pay such close attention to see if it would be something I would want to do.lol. Regardless of me choosing to do that as a career or not, I plan to reward myself with many more massages. I had to be at work today at 4 a.m. and worked 5 hours. Not too bad. Tomorrow start time is 5 a.m. then Friday back to normal 5:30 a.m.
I am very sleepy today so I think a nap maybe in order. lol.
I am having an exercise problem and I'm hoping you can give me some advice. Whenever I ride my exercise bike, my left foot falls asleep and starts hurting towards the end of my ride. I'm not sure if I need to adjust the seat back (or forward) or if this is just a function of not having worked out for a while. Any of you have this problem?
Debbie - I got on the scale today and it said 293, light pjs on, morning before breakfast. I love the scale, it is a Weight Watchers glass one that goes up to 400 pounds. Very sturdy. It makes me wonder why I spent so little on one before! lol
dogpal - I agree, it is a new starting point. I made a new weight sheet and will start tallying up my numbers. Going to weigh myself daily to see how the scale works, but won't freak out or try to obsess.
Debbie-My hand is the only skinny part of my body. My fingers are long, skinny, and one step away from being skeletal. If I could lose weight in my butt instead of my feet, hands, and bust, that would be ever so nice.
