Luan--is it the "Who Wants to Be a Superhero" from the sci-fi channel last year? We totally watched it, and I didn't know they were going to do a second season! We only watch because Jeff is the comic book geek that he is, so superheroes are right up his alley. The show is hilarious--the people are so ridiculous. That's so cool that you are working for them--I even had to tell Jeff that someone on my message board was working for the show. He asked if you could get an autograph from Stan Lee I told him I was pretty sure you'd be working more with the ridiculous contestants in costumes

Jill~Congrats on your engagement! That's just wonderful!!

Patti~Cool! Dancing for your exercise. I love it! Glad it doesn't
hurt your knee.

Sharon~I am so sorry about your dh's fall. I hope he's doing better!

Karen~hang in there! I know it's frustrating to not have found a place by now. But I still think it's great you're waiting for the right place instead of "just settling" on any apartment.

Catherine~400 sit ups! That's wonderful! As for the Chinese restaurant, what a dreadful experience. I'm glad you're back on track today.

Cyn~Hi there!! Have you tried fitday.com? You log in your food, can add personalized custom foods. The program keeps track of everything. Calories, fats, carbs, protein, all your vitamins and nutrients. You set your own caloric goal. My personal goal for calories between 1500-1700.

Zelma~Honey, I am so sorry you've been having such a hard time. I'm really glad the dr gave you two weeks off and am very, very proud of you for going to a counselor. I know I should see a counselor too, but just can't seem to bring myself to do it. We don't have many good therapists in town any more. I saw someone in the 90's, but he's now very expensive. (he was a student before with his phd, and now has his master's) After reading your post I am determined to look him up in the phone book. If he's left our community, I'll have to figure out something else. Hang in there, you will feel better.

Peggy~I'm glad your rough day is over. It sounds like you handled it very well. Great job on you increased exercise! Way to go!

Mechelle~Glad you're feeling better off those meds. I am however, sorry to hear about Alex. I hope he gets well soon & goes through the surgery well.

The past two days have been horrid. I was way off program yesterday. Today has been better. My schedule is all messed up. In a few minutes, I have to tuck Miss Abby in bed, make my dinner and get on the gazelle. I went to the dr yesterday, I'm still off work. Hopefully for only one more week. He's adjusting the meds yet again. I think we're finally getting close to the right combination. My dd, Nomer, who got married last fall.... she's been in and out. She has lots of friends she needs to see, her best friend still hasn't had the baby, but if she doesn't have him by Sunday, her dr is on call Sunday and will induce her Sunday. Nomer doesn't know if she's going home by then or not.... I doubt it. But we'll have to see. She has offered to take me to TGIFriday's for lunch tomorrow. I've never been there, but she loves it and says they have great salads. We've had time together, but she's still on the run. It'll be great for it to be just me and her at lunch tomorrow.
My sd is still being her regular self. Her play is this weekend, so I don't know how next week is going to go when she's home all the time.
I'm sorry for those that I missed, but I hope all are doing better and/or continuing their success.
Hugs,

Peggy: Good job on all the steps and also not blowing off your exercise because you were late. Way to go.

Catherine: I hope you have a wonderful visit with your F.I.L.

Lavandel: Hi. Glad to see you. How are things?

Michelle: So, so happy Alex seems to be responding to the meds. I will continue to pray for him to do well on Friday right?

Emily: I think you deserve a foot rub from your honey pie. lol.

Chimi: Great NSV about the loose pants. Wonderful.

Sandy: Hope you are having fun with your daughter's visit. I really wish for you a good relationship with your sd where she can grow up and pull her head out.

Kymberly: Whoop Whoop to you on another 4.1 pounds. That is awesome girl. I'm good. Well, still exercising without missing a day, still staying perfectly op and still not loosing anything more than a pound last week. lol. I think the inches are still coming off though. Okay, I know they are because I cheated tonight and measured my waist and hips and both are showing another inch each off besides the 14.5 I already lost between February and March 1st. Hopefully with continued exercise and diet it will go even further down. Hugs to you. You are doing so well.

Sharon and Lisa: how are you two doing on your no food diet? I konw that you weigh tomorrow I believe right Lisa? Let us know how you do. Sharon, you too my friend.

Well all, it is 1:22 a.m. and I can't sleep because..... um I really don't know why. So, I am thinking about just making myself stay up all night and cleaning maybe. DH is asleep in our bedroom. I cleaned the spare room really good today and I cleaned our office really good the other day. I could stand to dust or something quite. lol. Okay, gonna go now cause I'm rambling. lol.
Blessings to you all,
Annie

Hi guys
Well I am just popping in on my way out the door to work. I seem to have a better outlook today although the first time I got up this morning I was a grouch. Had breakfast and steve sent me back to bed.

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am nervous!!! I was a good girl all week but MAN! Steve has my scales I peek all the time and know just where I stand. This week I am totally in the dark *L*

OK. I have to run.. cooked a bunch of chicken this am and have to pkg it before I head to work.

Have a great OP day!

My gosh--people losing 4 pounds a week, 7 pounds a week...so many are doing so GREAT!!!

I'm heading to my sister's in Va Beach this weekend. I missed her step-daughter's 7th birthday party a couple weekends ago because we had a trip to Atlantic City, so I have lots of presents to give her. Also, my sister's birthday is on Monday, so the 3 of us (me, my sister, and 7-year-old Jackie) are going to a spa for manicures and pedicures on Saturday afternoon--my treat for both their birthdays, plus I need nice nails so I can go try on some engagement rings

I'm actually a little nervous about going ring shopping. I doubt anything the stores have in stock will fit my chubby little fingers. I believe the "standard" ring size is about a 6.5, but I think I wear about an 8.5 or 9. I know they can order things in any size or even add to them to make them bigger or whatever, so I'm not worried about the one I choose not fitting, but I am worried that I won't get the real true picture of the rings I try on, ya know? I'll either have to only be able to slide them halfway down my ring finger or try them on my pinky.

Morning All!

Just popping in real quick. Stayed OP yesterday and got my 20 mins on my bike and 7400 steps in!! It was a glorious day here and I took a break at work and went for a walk around the block. It was 70 and partly sunny...just wonderful. Back to reality with rain today changing over to a wintery mix over night and 8-10 inches of snow predicted where I live by Saturday! Geesh! Enough already! I want SPRING!!

Will be back later. Have a wonderful OP day chickies!!

chimichanga, I'm not sure what a pluto/pogo pop is but it doesn't sound like that much food, especially for all that walking you did!

sandybar, I hope you get to spend some good mother-daughter time with Nomer. Friday's seems to be a good restaurant, as they have plenty of options for people trying to eat healthier. I think I saw a commercial advertising that they offer smaller portion sizes, too. You can also check out their menu online, so you can plan ahead.

Brenda, WTG on the 3km - and running some to boot! I look forward to the day when I can do that. Try not to be too nervous about the scale - you've been eating good, so that's the main thing!

futurediva, congrats on the weight loss - that's awesome! You can definitely do this!

Annie, I hope you managed to get some sleep - either that or a really clean house! I don't think I would have the energy to clean past midnight, even if I couldn't sleep.

Jill, congratulations on your engagement! I hope you get over the ring shopping butterflies and have fun!

Torister, kudos to you for all your exercising - that's great! I used to live in New England and miss the snow sometimes, but I can understand you wanting spring to get there already.

Myself, I've been sick with a cold the last few days. DH spent the last couple days at home with the same thing. We were both feeling so miserable that I haven't done much of anything this week. Thankfully, although I did not eat alot, I didn't resort to any comfort food, either - even though my DH mentioned it a couple times! I went to the doctor yesterday for my two-week checkup following my pre-diabetic diagnosis, and according to them, I've lost 12 pounds in that time - yay me! Feeling better today so I have to get back OP and exercising. The doctor wants to see me back in 3 months to recheck my blood sugar and cholesterol levels and I want to be in the 200s by then.

Hope everyone has a great day!

hey everyone-

CHIMICHANGA-WTG on all of that walking! And that is great your pants are looser! That is where I always notice first when I have lost some weight/inches.

SANDY-Thanks hun. How is Abby doing? I also have been struggling with being OP.

KYMBERLY-thanks for the well wishes for Alex. I am so attached to my cat..they are like my own kids. And girl you have been doing awesome! Congrats on the 4.1 pounds lost! You will will be under 200 in no time!

ANNIE-Yeah he seems to be doing better. He just seems so week. He goes next Friday because that was the soonest they could get him in. I am fighting off anxiety attacks over having him put under anesthesia! Hope you finally got some sleep hun!

BRENDA-Good luck with your weigh in!

JILL-Have fun at your sisters! And have fun looking for rings!

PEGGY-WTG on staying OP! And I for sure don't miss snow! I used to live in the Alaska Arctic with snow year round! Hope you see spring soon!

LESLEY-I hope you get well soon! And wtg on the 12 pounds lost!

Well not much going on here. Just a lot of stress! DH and I are really edgy and well you know how that will just lead to a bunch of arguments! We need a vacation!

Hope you all have a great day!

Kymberly~Great job on your loss this week! You're moving right along with your lifestyle changes!!

Peggy~You go girl!! Keep on stepping. You're getting closer and closer to your steps per day goal. It's cold here again too. The past 4 days have been just beautiful! We may or may not get the wintry mix soon. But it's cloudy, windy and of course that north wind makes it feel colder. I did hear though that next week spring should return for us. I hope for you too.

Lesley~ 12 pounds in two weeks!!
Very impressive.

Mechelle~Hey, I managed to stay within my caloric intake yesterday! I made a bad choice for breakfast, dh had the leftover gravy from the other day, he made himself too big of a plate so I finished it. But counted it and was within my range. BUT all that sodium is killer.
My Miss Abby is actually due home in a few minutes. The kids only have a half day today and tomorrow cuz it's parent teacher conference time. She's been struggling in math again. I hope she stays on the honor roll. But, if not, we'll just have to buckle down again. She says she's writing the letter to the governor today about day light savings time. Every day this week she has complained about it.
When I'm getting grouchy with my dh, I take a step back and remember why and how I fell in love with him. I try to think about all he does for me and our family. He sells cars for a living and that is NOT the easiest job. It's a lot of emotional stuff. Especially for him. He wants his customers to get the best deal they can, and get what they want too. Guess where their extra savings comes from. His gross. So, basically that means, his commission isn't as much as it could have been. BUT, he is getting referrals and repeat customers, so he's got a good reputation and that means a lot to him.... and me.

Well, Nomer's friend had her baby last night!!! I'm off to see her in a jiff. He was only 20" or 20.5" long, but get this, he weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces. That's like a sack of potatoes almost. Makes me hurt thinking about it. Mama and son are doing well. But, sadly for me, since he's here now, I know my Nomer will be going home soon. She didn't get home til 5:30 am, I'm not sure we'll be going for lunch. But, I know she's in the next room and that's a comforting thought.

I got up, had my protein shake and got in the shower already. Yes, I know it's going on noon, but I didn't get a shower til really late last night. Hopefully, the new med doses will do their thing soon.
Lisa and Sharon~Unless I've missed your posts, I'm hoping you're so busy staying on your new programs you haven't had time to post. Hope to hear from you soon.
I hope to check in later. Hope all of you have a good day.

Just a quickie, I weigh in tomorrow -Friday- as my woman has to go to the airport today. I think I will leave it as Fridays as it gives me more incentive to stay OP when I see the scales drop!
Sandy, is NOMER short for anything? It's really unusual I hope things get better for you & the meds kick in.
My hubby's accident happened almost 8 years ago, it was just to illustrate how useless colleagues can be at notifying us when our OH have accidents at work.
Nothing much to say really, I forgot who did what, BUT big congrats on 12lbs down & all the other 'losers'!! LOLxxxxxx

Annie-Staying up all night to clean sounds like you are having some serious energy issues. I had a period of time like that. I think it is partially hormonal or cortisol stuff. Right after I started doing deep water aerobics I couldn’t sleep hardly the night after my class. For me it didn’t seem to be as bad losing that sleep as normally losing the sleep would be. I think it is primal. The cave men got most of their exercise when hunting the wooly mammoth, and had to track them for days without sleep. Maybe you are just in some kind of Cro-Magnon state. Just don’t knock hubby in the head and drag him into the bedroom.

Brenda-Having your husband hide the scales is funny. I once locked mine in a foot locker and froze the key in the ice tray. I couldn’t even microwave it to melt it any quicker.

Jill-My ring finger is the only part of my body that I can buy “normal” sized stuff for. Oh if only the rest of my body matched those skinny fingers and toes. I’ll bet that you will be able to find lots of stuff that fits. Don’t worry, just slide it on as far as you can. I went ring shopping with a woman from my water aerobics class in Florida, and her fingers were huge, and she had lots of stuff to try on that fit. She was African-American, and so was the jeweler, but I don’t know if that had anything to do with it.

Peggy-I so know what you mean about spring. We had several days of sun, and the snow piles started melting so quickly the streets flooded. But today, it is -13 and all that melted snow is now black ice on the sidewalk. We came out of the store last night and stood at the bus stop getting snowed on. Last week wasn’t just a tease, it was mother nature being cruel. I got to leave the house in only one pair of pants Sunday, and felt like I have forgotten to put on underwear it felt so weird.

Lesley-I’ll bet your doctor was really happy with your loss. Doesn’t it make going to the doctor so much easier when you’ve lost, than when you’ve gained?

Michelle-Hang in there. I know how hard it is waiting for a fur ball to come out of surgery. I’d rather go under the knife myself.

Sandy-It’s almost noon here, and all I’ve done today is exercise and breakfast, and listen to himself on the phone. He uses the phone like a 14 year old girl. Good thing I hate using the thing, or we’d need two phone lines.

I am off to clean house. I think I am going to start doing a second set of sit-ups in the evening too. I’m starting to really get back into the hang of things. My body remembered even if my brain had forgotten.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to post a quickie due to some personal issues DH and I are going through since his fall at work. More details are on the over 40 thread.

Sandy, my grandaughters name is Kaylee, too! I have 2, Kaylee and Miranda and another on the way. They are such blessings. I never though I could love someone so much. Good news about your DH's friend and her new boy. Is your DD going to hang out with her and help her with the baby? He sounds like a cute little pudgeball.

Litchik, glad to hear you and DH are feeling better. Wow! 12 lbs! In 3 months all of your tests should be pretty darn good if you keep up with that positive attitude! You sound totally commited, CONGRATS TO YOU!!

Torister, your "steps" are multiplying rapidly! GREAT JOB! I'm with you on the Spring thing, too! We have a forcast of snow tomorrow! YUKKK!!!!! NO MORE!!

Jilly, RING SHOPPING! How exciting! I hope you will find a bunch to try on. Don't worry about the size! I'm sure there will be plenty for you to check out. Have fun with that!!

Annie, I have that sleep problem, too. Either I can't fall asleep or I wake in the middle of the night and it takes me hours to fall back again. I think I will clean, too! Sounds more productive than trying to find something on the tube to watch!

Diva, Great going on the loss. Your positive attitude is wonderful! Keep up the good work!

Brenda, Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.

Where is Lisa? I think her weigh in was supposed to be today.

Appologies to any I have missed. Have a Great Day All & God Bless.
