mel- Like I said I don't know how accurate the watch is. But I wear it religiously now and only take it off when I sleep. I try to stay close to 1500 calories if I can, I had a couple days this week where I was at 1700. I just work out when I can. Even if it is just a quick 5 minutes on the bike. Which is one reason why I love it. I upped the resistance on it this week too. So I sweat alot more now and it is harder. I count my calories and write everything down. When I have left overs I always make a little tupperware dish just for me whether I eat it or not so I know about how many calories I eat. Even if it is a guesstiment.
I have been bad about checking in lately. Big project due a work on Wednesday that basically determines if they hire me on (currently contractor status).
Despite the stress have stayed really close to my calories each day--big improvement. In the past stress would have put me over the edge.
Also, finally broke open my biggest loser DVD. First workout about killed me but it felt good.
Also lost another half pound but am holding out for the other half lol
laughing girl- they are hard but they are SO worth it. I really like doing mine. Sometimes it is my pick me up for the day. I do the cardio max with Bob and I am stress free and ready to go again. This is something since I have 3 kids here running around, ya have to destress, lol. Good for you!! It will get easier, atleast that is what I keep tellin myself!
Howdy, everyone. I've been battling a cold for a week now and I am finally getting better. The last time I worked out was on Thursday. I meet with my trainer tomorrow for some running. My appetite has been almost nil on some days, but my thirst has been unquenchable. I've tried weighing myself on the bathroom scale this past week and I gave up. The scale has read anything from 225 to 233, all at random times. The one thing I have done differently this past week is to add a whole fresh orange to my daily diet. This has played some havoc with my blood glucose but the extra vitamin C and fiber is a huge bonus. Not to mention it's a fruit I truly miss.
I like the name Rockstars. It reminds me of the lyrics to "So What" by Pink.
I was on plan all day today! I'm singing this song to bad food choices!
~So what, I'm still a rock star
I got my rock moves and I don't need you
And guess what, I'm havin' more fun
And now that we're done I'm gonna show you tonight
I'm alright, I'm just fine...~
Diabetic Z - glad you are feeling better! The fluctuation in weight is probably due to water, my hunch is that you have probably lost weight.
JosieGril and Laughing Girl78 - The biggest Loser DVD workout sounds like a really great workout. I've seen really good reviews for it. I might have to pick it up and try it out.
diabetic z- if ya get a chance will you ask your trainer how accurate calorie counting watches are, I would really like to know. I really appreciate it!!! hope you feel better soon too! It really sucks being sick while you are trying to lose weight cause ya don't feel like doing nothing.
Azimuth-I really like them, and they make me sweat my butt off, which of course is the point. And I have noticed the more I do them I sweat more then the last time. Sweating is always good! (atleast when you are working out )
Josiegirl--those workouts are awesome. I am SO SORE today and love it! I know it is really pushing me in the right direction. I am thinking about getting the biggest loser yoga and alternating between the two.
Diabetic Z--I hope you feel better! I was a little under the weather myself last week and it does seem to suck all your focus onto getting better.
AzimuthRing--Thanks for the good luck wishes. I had to come on board and create this presentation class with no notice--it has been stressful but hopefully the first class (tomorrow at 10am CST--for those of you that wish to say a prayer, I could use it) will go amazing and they will decide then and there to hire me on. :-)
Plan on doing the DVD tonight--2 nights in a row woohoo! Plus dinner is going to be a homemade protein shake of Jillian's vanilla whey protein, frozen strawberries, a 1/4 milk and flax seed. I made it last night too and it was delicious, almost like a frothy, creamy, milkshake. I will pair it with some steamed veggies.
Have a great day fellow rockstars (I like that name)
ok....fell off the wagon this evening. I was out running here and there with DR's appointments and picking up prescriptions and a handful of other things. Being rushed to get home, glance at the clock...way after dinner time, kids screamin in the car, so I swung by little ceasars. Two peices of pizza later, I feel like crap wonderin what the **** got into me, I have not slipped once since the first of the month. So after homework and bath times guess I will hit the bike and pedal forever and bust my rump harder on my dvd. I am so kicking myself right now, dang it!!!
Don't be yourself up too bad. 2 slices of pizza is not nearly as bad as 1/2 of a pizza lol. Plus you worked out.
Take it from someone who fell off the wagon last week, I have discovered that this weight loss thing is a journey and some days are fantastic and some days are a struggle but the most important thing is to STAY ON THE JOURNEY....and just keep at it.
In the past one little mess up would cause me to forget the whole thing and decide it was too hard. Now I just dust myself off and start again.
Don't despair, all! I have been off of the wagon for a few days......a handful of chocolate chips here, half of a donut there, before I knew it, I was feeling like a total blob!! I am out-of-town for a pharmacotherapy conference, which means that I have the night to myself--no kids, no husband, no dogs, just me! A rare treat! Although I love my family, it is a nice little break. I plan to workout tonight at the hotel gym, cruise around online for workout and diet tips, and go to bed early. I'm very proud of you all, I haven't been as motivated, but you are motivating me to keep going.
Moving forward, Rockstars!

Well Girls got on the scale this morning and I weigh in at 218. Which is down 2# since last weeks weigh in. I have worked my butt off and even though I slipped with the 2 pcs of pizza I did expect to see more loss on the scale. oh well 2 pounds is 2 pounds off me!!
Well, I took the dogs for a 2 mile walk yesterday, another 2 miler today, worked out on the treadmill this evening, and have been drinking my water all day! A healthier weekend than usual, so I'm pleased with that. Small successes.....
Have a great Monday, here's to a little exercise, a little restraint, and baby steps!
I have been doing so good lately with the exercise. Then last night "bang" there goes the exercise bike!!! Tryin to find the replacement part BUT not sure how that is gonna go. Now I have to figure out what to do while my kids are watchin tv and I have a spare minute. hope everyone else is doing well!
I've had the worst weekend with eating. Due to the fact I went to a baby shower on Sat. and a birthday party on Sun. I am back on track today.
I did manage to get my exercise in this weekend though. I'm scared to weigh to see what the damage is. I think I'll just skip this weeks weigh in and just wait until Sunday.
