I'm feeling better today - still stuffy but no headache so far. Somehow I managed to make it to the gym yesterday and today and I think all that sweating helped me. I have been having a terrible time staying OP this week. Last week I did great but that was cuz I had a bunch of canker sores in my mouth -- this is great for a diet!! I had to take tiny bites and chew carefully and the whole time I ate I was in pain. I was well below plan everyday. I guess this week I'm making up for it. Oh well...and next week is PMS time. Hopefully after all that I can get refocused.

Lauren, bummer about the post. That is so frustrating!!

Rabbit, I'm terrible with journaling. Posting regularly at this site is the first time in my life I've done anything that regular. I have a little notebook I carry with me that I am supposed to journal and write my food in but I only manage to do about 2 days a month.

RR, did you work out with your weights this morning? I did upper body but skipped the lower body. I'll have to make up for it tomorrow.

Nanci, thanks! I'm almost all better. Soon I'll be able to pronounce words with "M"s & "N"s in them again.

Bailey, I'm glad you're not too sore today. Have fun doing yoga. I want to try that someday but the classes at my gym are late in the evening -- too late for me. I guess I don't want to go that bad. Thursday morning we're leaving for our trip to Reno with 2 other couples (the dreaded ski area) Everyone is being great and they are trying to find things besides skiing to do on some of the days. We'll get home on Tuesday evening. I'm really looking forward to getting away.

Here's to a fun Tuesday!! I'm off to get a diet coke to help my food cravings.

Hello!

RR - cool that you journal daily! ~ And I'm glad dh listened about the counseling - that can be such a help! I'm sure it is great for her to have someone else to talk to. A child losing one's mother is just one of the worst things I can think of. Our mothers are usually that one most important person in our lives (nothing against dads, mom's are just usually the caretakers).

Nanci - I know what you mean about not wanting to do things all the time because you are worried about the points. But we have lives to live, so have to deal with the point thing. One thing, it's better to worry some that totally ignore it! (I did that on Saturday).

Bailey - You are right, life choices are so interesting. Each little thing we do sends us on a different path. My son was a surprise! And he is the light of my life. I hope you find a job you like - is all of the traveling interesting? I'm sure you've had some great experiences with that. I love seeing new places (so cool that you went to London).

Liz - well, I guess canker sores are one way to stay in plan - but not a fun one. ~ I do great at journaling my food, but I'd like to do more life journaling, which is what rr does. Every once in awhile, I start doing it . . .~ Have fun on your trip to Reno!

gotta run - Rabbit

I'm keeping kind of quiet this week - fighting the urge to eat everything in sight. Need to spend some time getting back on track and back to losing. I'm very tired of floating between 172-174 and want to sink down to 169. Its been 7 years since I've seen 169. I did get out all my summer shorts that I haven't worn for the last 7 years and ......I fit!! I'm hoping that that will encourage me to 'get with it' again.

I've got a guy coming over today to finish my doors and trim. The first guy working on it hasn't been back for over a month so I gave up (I don't blame him he has enough on his plate his wife is going thru breast cancer treatments - doing well - but they are at the point where its daily treatments 40 miles away. The guy coming today (hopefully) will finish the doors/trim and then start on a roof for my back deck. Then we can put up new seamless gutters (hopefully they won't leak like the last ones).

Quiet here so far this morning.

I blew it last night on easter candy as I did the baskets. I bought more candy today for the baskets I'm doing for the relatives coming over - AND EVERYTHING I BOUGHT WAS PEANUT BUTTER. Atleast I'm learning. . .

Jul - sorry you are having a rough week. I know the feeling. hooray for the shorts fitting though - what a victory! ~ Good luck with your gutters.

I just wanted to stop in and say bye. I won't have access to a computer while I'm away so I'll check back in next Wednesday. I'll try and behave myself but everyone keeps telling me about the incredible all-u-can-eat buffets they have. Willpower, willpower!!!!

The construction guy did show up - yeah!! And I finally have my trim and the new storm door. He even left some of his tools so I know he'll be back today to start on the deck roof. I love committment!

I did weights and walking yesterday but bombed out when it came to food. The evil things I ate include choc/raspberry icecream, meatloaf and cheesymashed potatoes, summer sausage and cheese. I've got to get off this food kick.
I'm up very early for me (its not even 7 yet) - so maybe I'll go put in a video and start the day right....or maybe I waunder back over to the bed. - jul

Hi all.

BYE LIZZARD!! Have fun, we will miss you!! You can do it.

I, on the other hand, can't. I was starving all day yesterday and finally gave in. In addition, AF is late. It this point, it would practically have to be an immaculate conception, but I have still been stressed. Got a test this morning and it was negative (YAY) so I feel better. However, rather than fight myself all day, I have decided to take one planned day "off" where I don't worry about points. One planned day should not affect my weight too much but may do wonders for my mental health! (says Bailey, through the crumbs of a 20 point chocolate chip muffin)

Rabbit: Good job buying all the pb candy. I can practically hear my favorite candies calling me as I walk through the stores.

Jul: Yeay on the shorts. Keep plugging away and you will get there. Hope all goes well with the house

JUL: THIS IS FLYLADY SPEAKING: PUT ON THOSE SHOES AND MAKE THAT BED

Hi All,

Well, ended up at Lonestar Steakhouse with my boss, et al last night. I got my usual, 9 oz. sirlion, sweet potato w/all on side, and salad. Unfortunately, since they got there before me, they ordered me an onion!! I wasn't gonna have one, self control...I coulda done it, since I was with them, but I caved. Not even gonna try to figure out points. Really need to get on the ball. I snuck on the scale this AM and quickly jumped off...don't want to see that number again!!

Lizz- Have fun!! Be Good!!

Bailey- Glad you got a neg test...maybe you should go on the pill or something, so you don't have to worry soo much!! Hang in there, you can do it!! I have tried the one day off thing...it works, but you have to be disiplined enough to keep it at one day!! That's where I failed.

Jul- Hope you chose the video!! Glad your guy showed up and got stuff done for you.

Rabbit- Good for you choosing all PB!! I'm still trying to stay out of the M&Ms.

My boss is still here, so I am pretty busy...gotta get going. Have a great day all...it's back to Curves tonight for me!!

Hi all, thought I would check in. My computer is acting up, so I can't access the document I have to print out . My sewing machine did the same thing yesterday when I went to finish a major project I had to finish by our dinner on Friday night. Something is up; maybe my computer, and my sewing machine are in on a conspiracy!

Anyway back to reality,

LIZ - if you get to see this before next Wednesday, I hope you have fun. If you get the courage, go for the slopes, you may have real fun. (Not that I would know, I have never been skiing) I am guessing that is where you are going.

Lauren - we all have bad times with food, just remember to get back on that wagon, and it will all be ok.

Sounds like everyone has been struggling with food. At this time of the year, it is hard for me to not cave in. Everything I know how to cook for the holidays is high cal. I am not sure what I will do. I guess I will eat it in moderation, and make up for it next week. I just don't want to loose the head way I've gained in the past week.

Jul - glad to hear you got someone who is going to finish the job. It is so frustrating when the person you hire gets sick, or is unable to finish the job.

Rabbit - you should have had dh put the candy in the baskets for you, then you wouldn't have had to worry about it. I may be joining you since I will be filling plastic eggs with candy tonight.

Bailey - Yes you can. You can do like Liz did, and have a diet coke instead, or go buy some rice cakes, or eat veggies, won't that be yummy!!! NOT. But it does take away the hunger!!!

Well, I better run, I still have so much to do, and so little time.

ARGH!!!

I've done nothing but stuff my face with M&Ms out of frustration all afternoon!! I hate my boss and my job...I'm in audit h*ll again...and will probably be here til 10 tonight. OK, I won't be here til 10 tonight, but I could...will leave when I can't stand the headache anymore. I have 3 audits, two next week and one the following week, and they're all fairly large ones.

Calgon...take me away...

RR: we do the money in the eggs too! The boys are always more thrilled with coins than with chocolate. Weston hates chocolate - is he really my son???????

This guy doing my work is great!!! He is almost done with my deck roof and it looks so nice! I can hardly wait for the next rainy day so I can sit on my back deck and enjoy the view (love to sit outside and listen to the rain). My back overlooks a big valley and hills in the distance. My front with the porch that is covered across the whole front of the house faces the road - granted you can't see the neighbors houses but its still looking towards the road. I

For those interested - yes I did a video and yes I made my bed (didn't crawl back in this morning). It is Missouri weather - sweltering hot, needed a sweater 2 days ago probably will again tomorrow but today I'm in shorts!!

later, jul

hello everyone! Today I made homemade Easter treats so I got into that some. I'm ready for all the goodies to go away! If anyone gives me any candy, I will give it away. I don't want it around.

Jul - glad your guy is working out! Hates chocolate - what a concept!

Bailey - one day shouldn't hurt you. Be careful that it doesn't become 2, 3 . . .

Lauren - oh those pesky m&m's! Good luck.

RR - I do stuff and candy!

gotta run (or should I say: hop) - busy week!
