Hello all!!!
Well, day 2 and the diet is going right on target!!!Did pick on a piece of fishstick and 3 noodles but that is it..That is the hardest with cooking for kids and family!!!I saved 3 points for the picking and think that covered it all!!!!

Liz and Lyssa--Welcome!!!!!I never heard of skinny cows either!!!SOo glad to have some fellow southerners here!!!!

Well, snow 3 weeks ago and it is in the 80's tomorrow!!!What a mess for the weather!!We are going to buy beads on Friday..I guess N.O. will be a mess with the Superbowlers and the Mardi Gras people...I am planning to get in and then head out quick on FRriday...See what I get for procrastination!!!

BFB--Yeah on the Tae Bo!!!!!!I am doing 60minutes of treadmill, weights 3 days/week and then 5 minutes on the bike...We have to do this for 30 days to make it a habit!!!!!I am having the cramps from he$$ and hoping it is AF!!!Tell her to please come here next!!!!It has been 24 days since the surgery, soo I am hoping(but dont know for sure)she is comming soon!!!!!

Lyssa-DH will probably never pay me either, but the incentive is good and we pretend!!!! I called him today and informed him I lost 18lbs since Sunday!!!!*L*I am still waiting for the check!!!!

Jul--U have dinasours and I have cats!!!I had to resort to refrigerator locks and door knob thingees to protect the stuff in the pantry and the fridge!!I just love Kids!!!!!

Rabbit--Yeah on the braces!!!WOW..I remember when they were put on!!!!

Lauren--WOW..U are deserving of 15pts for the moving!!!!Good luck finishing!!!!

So, as usual, I don't get over to this thread for a week and you all post a novel! Been readin and readin...

All I have to say for myself is.......GO PATS!!! We're goin to the big dance!!! Brady/Bledsoe will not be stopped! Good thing I don't like chips and dip too much!!!

Nanci - I'm such a sucker - your post inspired me to get out my OLD pants to try on. Quite depressing. Don't let it get you down. You are doing good and it WILL show up on the scales and in the clothes. Many a night I have had to go to bed to stay within points...

BFB: Did that stomach bug eat up all those nasty fat cells and result in a big loss? If not, I am sure the miles will do the trick. Good going! You are inspiring me. By the way, isn't lemon cake a FRUIT and therefor GOOD FOR YOU?!?

LBH: I feel your moving pain. Nothing to do but slog through it. Working Sunday Sucks! Glad to hear about the bowling victory.

Rabbit: Congrats on getting by the hard days! Keep that chocolate out of the house. Except for the 3 point muffins. YUM. Congrats also on the braces! How long has it been?

RR: Looking forward to seeing you on the journal page. Excellent idea to set aside reward money for workout expenses! The two together should have you all set for your spring "activities"

Elisa: Congrats on the pants! I, too, weigh every day and set high goals. It is depressing when the results are not what I want, but I really feel it keeps me thinking about what I am trying to acomplish. I try very hard to remember that, although I have not met my unrealistically high standards for myself, I AM DOING IT AND WILL SUCCEED!

Tech: Where are you?? Probably working on the House! Hope all is well and HOPE YOU ARE JOURNALING (you wrote it down) You must post pictures of the house so we can all enjoy your hard work.

Juldiet: Wow you are doing great. 1995 pants? Thats amazing. I like your goals you have set. Great idea. I, too, have worn tight pants to keep from overeating. Enjoy the bracelet.

LysaLou: Welcome! As Lauren said, the points are from Weight Watchers. You are welcome to post points, a food log or not at all. I do believe, however, that writing down everything you eat somewhere is an excellent idea. Sounds like you are off to a good start with the H2O, sugar and exercise plans! Let us know how we can be of help. YOU CAN DO IT! (I, also, frequently find my butt glued to the couch - trying to work on that )

Lizzard: Hello! We have a place called Jonny's foodmaster. They sell sushi rolls cut up into 9 pieces for $4.80. Typically, I will have 3 or 4 for a meal with LOTS of veggies. Lately, I have been having WAY more a meal and it is too expensive. Must shrink stomach! Yeay on the jeans! They will fit soon.

Hi everyone.

Well it was kind of a MANIC Monday. I am glad the day is over. I am doing well on the points though. I am really in the groove right now. If we could just bottle this feeling. :-) It is helping so much to have DH doing this with me.

RR, It sounds like things are going great for you. I tell ya I could sure use some of that 80 degree weather that you and Lyssa are having. This is about the time I start getting sick and tired of the gloom and cold.

Jul, Way to go on the jeans! That is AWESOME. You have done so well.

Liz & Lyssalou, Welcome! This place is so good for the motivation and support.

BFB, It sounds like the hubby is being a doll.

Elisa, Great job on the pants fitting. I am really hoping to have some more fit me soon.

Kymber, If you are around we would love to have you pop in and say hi.

Night all

Okay...how do you guys keep up with so many people???

Rabbit, I'm in Cocoa and work at the rocket ranch. I totally love it here.

Thanks for all the happy welcomes. Hopefully I can get to know everyone. By the time I get to the bottom of the thread I've forgotten about all the stuff at the beginning!! (Can't help it -- I'm blonde!! )

How do you guys have these big losses every week? I exercise a lot (and eat a lot) so my scale is barely moving but at least it is and in the right direction too.

Default I'm not blondd!!!

Lizzard- I'm not blonde, but I can't remember 1/2 of what I read by the time I start to post either, and forget knowing who said it. I guess we will be better at it once we get to know everyone.

Has any one explained what skinny cows is yet? I'm dying to know, so I can know if we get them here. We probably do since our city was just named the best city to eat in, and also the fattest city. (Houston, TX) If you want to lose weight, don't come here!!!

Just a quick stop by. For those of you who remember or were around, I was doing some studying just before Christmas.

Well I rang to get my results (so impatient) and I got a distinction for all five subjects

At least something nice has happened to me today.

HI!

We just got back from getting our hair cut. I got mine colored as well. It is a little lighter than it has been but it looks nice. For some reason the top of my head was really sensitive tonight. I was driving her crazy with my constant ouching.

Liz, What is the rocket ranch?

BFB, A very big CONGRATS to you on the grades. That is fantastic.

Lauren, I would say a lb down after everything you have had going on the past couple of weeks is SUPER.

RR, I don't know how you do the two jobs and kids. YIKES.

Still doing great on plan and with the exercise. We are still in the groove.

Hi everyone,
I'm trying not to be bummed. I stepped on the scale this morning and it was up 2 pounds . I lifted weights yesterday and pushed myself extra hard. Hopefully my muscles are just trying to recover and I'll go back down by the weekend. My goal is to stick with the current exercise program for one month and take my measurements again to see how I did. I hope that putting in 20 miles a week will do something for my fat butt!!

Backfor, the rocket ranch is Kennedy Space Center and the space program. How'd that haircut work for you?? I'm thinking if I get mine cut real short I can lose a pound or two - it's long and thick now. What can I say? I'm desperate!!

Vicki, thanks for the advice. I'll use your scrolling idea. How do you do two jobs with kids? You are one mighty woman!!

LBH, Congrats on the loss! Are the veggies still a hit at the bowling alley?? Is that PMS all gone now? Mine will start next week. Wish me luck.

Lyssa, After reading back it looks like skinny cows are some kind of ice cream. I've never seen them but I usually stay out of the frozen dessert aisle. I don't have that much willpower yet.

Oh well, here's to a day of healthy eating and happy thoughts!

Hi All,

Well, I'm starting the morning off bad!! Having a cholesterol sandwich...grilled rye with taylor ham and cheese. For all of you from outside New Jersey, taylor ham may be also known as pork roll, or else you've just never heard of it at all!! I don't know how else to describ it, but it's good, and appears to be a NJ thing! I certainly don't need it, but it's a nice change every now and then!

Lizzard- Yes, the veggies are still a hit...last night he only had one left, so my friend and I shared a little...I ate most. He told me he keeps selling them to the kid's league! I told him he's gotta make more! I have to tell him to lower the price though, $5. is waay too much. Yes, the PMS is still here! AF is wrecking havoc on me since I've been off the pill. Been spotting for like 8 days now, and AF is not "due" until next Tuesday!! UGH...probably more information than anyone needed to know...sorry!!

Nanci- Doesn't it feel great when you get a haircut/color? I love getting my hair cut...just wish my hair grew faster, so I could be more daring with it!

RR- I know I asked you this before, but I forget, what's your 2nd job? I scroll down to respond too, I have a horrible memory!!

Lyssa- Skinny Cows are basically like a Chipwich, but I think it's a chocolate "cookie" not choc. chip.

OK, I'm not gonna start any trouble here...especially since the Giants...or Jets for that matter...are not in the Super Bowl, but from what I understand, the Patriots are gonna get their butts kicked!! I told DH he doesn't have to worry about having company over Sunday, because the Giants aren't in it anyway...but he's still a man, and must watch, so he has something to talk about.

OK, have a great day all!!

HEY LAUREN:

Would that butt kicking be along the lines of the butt kicking they took last week?

I think not!

So sorry NY didn't get an invite to the big game

Don't &^@# with boston, man.

But seriously, I realize they are the underdog, but a girl can dream, can't she? By the way, you should all watch next week - we have the CUTEST quarterbacks Nanci - thanks for the support

As for keeping up, I usually read all the time, but post rarely (once a week seems rare here!) If there have been only a few posts since my last, I scroll down. If there have been lots, I....Take Notes! Seven years of grad school can really make you odd.

Lizzard, sounds like a great job! Remember, slow and steady wins the race! Any big loss is likely to be H2O and not "real". So, while they may look exciting, I think big losses are no where near as exciting as several small ones. Keep up the good work! - Also, unless you KNOW why you have gained, I think something like a 2 lb gain is probably water retention. Don't "sweat" it.

BFB: WELL DONE!!!!!

RR: Reading your posts makes me tired! You rock.
