Hey Toodles, welcome!!!
Man, there's nothing worse than trying to deal with/improve one aspect of your life only to have it wreak havoc with another. I'm so glad you're in a better place and that the anxiety has diminished, sounds like a great place to start another weight loss journey from! And... sidenote, you're welcome in the 20-somethings whether you're technically 20-something or not! Stick around, this thread needs some more action. ;) As for me... This morning I was yet again 179.4, and when I re-set my digital scale and hopped back on, it said I was 178.8. Whichever is right... I'm gonna call that a "win" in the out-of-the-180s column! :) That being said, this thread could use a few people hanging out, so while I am going to dip my toe into the 170s thread... Jaimie, you're stuck with me checking in on you. ;) And you too, Toodles!! Can't wait to hear how you're both doing today. :) |

At 179.2 two days in a row, so I seem to be sort of in the 170s. Hopefully it'll stick! |
I'm here! I am super mad today as it was mini goal of 189.9 day, and the #$%#$ scale told me 190.2. FOR REAL?!! Not impressed with that hunk of junk this morning. To top it all off it did the hover thing, you know, when it flashes those pretty 180s in your face for 3 seconds and then all of a sudden decides 190.2 is the magic number. GRRRRRR. I work a 12hr night tonight so tomorrows weigh in will likley be off, as nights mess with my water retention and eating schedule. So hopefully Thursday am I can see a real improvement.
BUT HEY! You made it to the 170's! That is freaking awesome! And you are almost below that dreaded 30 bmi number, so even better. Way to keep at it! |
Aww, I HATE that! To be honest, I find mini-goals used to drive me mental. My body was never consistent enough to get me to my "proper" goals on specific weeks, and I'd just get demotivated. I hope you don't take it to heart and get TOO frustrated!
Either way, I hope Thursday shows a happy drop! Don't stress too much about the number, just know that you're kicking *** and it's going in the right direction! Keep at it, woman! What do you do anyhow that you have 12 hour night shifts?? (If you don't mind me asking) I'm 178.6 today (WHAAAAAT)! I'm totally loving this spin class thing, I feel like the weight is melting off! And last night I ate a Timbit (Canadian "donut hole"), a decaf coffee with cream and a warm tea biscuit without guilt, and am still seeing the numbers drop...! |
Jelbb- Oh yummy, I love donuts, lol. Good news, I hit the 189.8 mark today, which I didn't expect. I am a nurse, so I rotate days and nights. And nights make weigh ins all kinds of messed up! However, I am super duper happy to see the 180's. I am sure I will bounce a bit before it becomes permanent, but its a step.
I did spin class a while back, and I really liked it too (except the sore butt part). I really should get back in to something. I will give that some more thought here in the near future! |

And yeah, definitely think about the spin class. It's sickeningly hardcore, but... my god, do the pounds seem to drop off...! The butt pain is only just starting to ebb now tho, lol. Can't wait to see ya drop deeper into the 180s! You'll be caught up to me in no time. ;) Yesterday we had a company picnic. I was the very definition of "normal" in my eating habits. I munched on about 5 chips, had two beers and ate a burger with no bun, a kale salad and some canteloupe.Was pretty proud of myself for not overdoing it! I did, when I walked past the half-eaten pies, take a small broken piece of buttery crumbly crust, though. Better than a whole slice of pie. ;) This morning I was 178.4. :) |

Hello all! Crappy weigh in today at 190.0. Oh well its better than it could be. Work the next three nights, which means backwards eating schedule, but lots of walking. My next real weigh in prob won't be until Tuesday am, so I will likely not be posting until then since I will be sleeping all day. Hope I return to some fantastic numbers! This is my last set of nights for a while as I go to days for two months, which will make this diet life so much easier. I am going to rock those two months!

Heeey! No doom and gloom, it seems like just a few days ago you were 191.6, and now you're hovering/teetering on the edge of 190 and dropping sporadically into the 180s! You're a rockstar woman, don't you DARE beat yourself up! The scale is going consistently in the right direction!

Hey ladies!! Quick report for today- still hanging at 190.0. Glad I didn't weigh more after the night shift stretch. Tomorrow should be a great weigh in, as I know I will do really good today. Planning on drinking lots of water to flush out the fluid. However, TOM will be knocking in the next few days, so I will likley be suffering from that. I would like to crush those 180s in Aug, and then say goodbye to the 170s in Sept. Although the weight isn't melting off by means.... hopefully the day shift switch will make it easier on me.
