Hi all. Pretty new to the forums here, and totally new to the idea of being less than 200.

I remember a long time ago, I must've been eighteen or nineteen, I was on the contraceptive injection, and the doctor told me if I got over 200 pounds I'd have to have it every eight weeks instead of twelve. And that scared me silly, yet by twenty five I was over 250. What happened?!

Anyway, I've been sweating ridiculously, and now Onederland is in sight! Just over a stone to go, which I'm hoping to achieve by August 11th - my sister's visiting then and she hasn't seen me since I was 255 at Christmas so the look on her face should be awesome. Here's hoping the next sixteen pounds don't put up too much resistance!

Hey y'all!!! It's been a while since I've been on here, but I am pleased to say... I'm down 4 lbs since I was last here. And this is actually in the last week and a half. So I'm down to 211.8!! Just about 12 pounds away from Onederland! Pretty excited! Hope you all are doing fabulously!

Default Same!

I am in the same boat. I hovered around 190 for ever (I am only 5'1) and always said I would never go above 200, well here I am and I had made it to 210 without even realizing it the last year. I lost my younger brother a little over a year ago and I just ate my face off. I am down to 202 since May 7th (yay) but I am like freaking out about getting below 200 again. I think it will be a big relief. What is crazy is when I was 190 and now that I was 210 my clothing sized never changed, like seriously 20 lbs and I can still where at 16, no wonder I didn't notice. In smaller sizes if you gain five pounds you need the next size, in the bigger girl sizing you give us 20lbs? Nutso I say. My ultimate goal is 130 but I am doing it 10 lbs at a time!

I'm not sure about middle school - we don't have it here - but I remember in year six (age 10-11) weighing 90lbs. And then by age 15 I was double that. And I didn't really notice the gain (although I suppose puberty might've had something to do with it). And then the other big weight jump in my life - from being anywhere between 180 and 210, to suddenly being 255 - totally didn't notice that either (and no puberty excuse either). Why do we do this to ourselves? If I'd realised how much I was gaining I might've done something about it sooner.

Mind you, I had to have words with my family when I realised I was 255. Words along the lines of "Why didn't any of you tell me?!" I suppose none of them wanted to upset me.

Anyway. 213.8 today! Less than a stone to go until I'm under 200! And my BMI's down from 37.7 to 31.6! I've converted so much fat into unnecessary exclamation marks! I can't stop! Is this what optimism feels like, or is it just temporary mania brought on by weight loss and sunshine?

Hey all,

Sorry I haven't been around, my life has been a total nightmare as of yet. Still, I lost weight during the ordeal I went through and I am ready to continue losing weight.

My boyfriend and I went swimming today in celebration of memorial day. We got some good exercise and threw a beach ball around. I don't own a swimsuit so I had to go around in a shirt and shorts, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. It's more comfortable anyhoo than letting my thighs rub (TMI?). I sure do look forward to being able to rock a bikini again though.

Going to school this summer. I'm taking a trig class so I can take calculus next semester. I am kind of a math geek and want to earn a math degree as well as an HIT degree.

Anyhoo, how are you guys doing?

Urgh, the thigh rub! Does that ever go away?

I'm doing good - weight's been up and down for a few days because it's too hot to exercise as much as usual, but I'm still feeling positive about what's to come. And I bought a dress! I've always hated wearing dresses, because of the thigh rubbing and sweating, but with this heat, I think I need one. I've ordered two different sizes because I've no idea what will fit - my bum's a UK 20 but my upper body's more like a 14-16. They should arrive by Wednesday. Fingers crossed the smaller of the two fits, because it'll be an excellent boost!

Glad to hear it Brid--- good luck with the dress.

I had a very light breakfast and then indulged for memorial day. My boyfriend grilled pork steaks and we have been watching TV. Tomorrow though I will be back on regimen... I haven't gone to Zumba in a while or done yoga and I think it's about time for that.

Things are getting better for me. I almost see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey ladies!!!!
I HATE the thigh rub but it definitely does go away with weight loss. As for myself I haven't done my P90X in a couple of days because of birthdays and being busy. But Friday after some running around we went to the Sand Dunes and boy did that kill my thighs! Yesterday I drank WAAAAAAY too much wine so I've done nothing all day today except recoup. But I've lost 15lbs this month woohoo....idk if it'll stay after being dehydrated but its a start. Only 10 more to go til I'm in Onederland.

Brid- and as far as the dress, it does depend on the cut but I like dresses because I can wear a smaller size So I hope your smaller version fits perfectly!

Oh I am so ready to be under the 200's. I think the last time I was under 200 I was 15 years old. I am about 211 right now I had hoped to get there sooner than I have. Oh well getting close.

Default Thigh Rub

I also detest the thigh rub so when I am wearing dresses (even nice cocktail dresses) I wear the spandex running shorts under them. It keeps your thighs from rubbing together (and I think it also sucks everything in without being pinchy and sweaty like spanx). I went away this weekend with Fiances family. I was sure I gained 5 lbs (I did try to be good with food and I went for a 2.5 mile walk each day) but I was so excited when I returned last night to weight EXACTLY what I weighed the day we left (Friday) 201.8. However that 1.8 has got to go! I want Onederland really bad!
