GAH, I am at 133 this week...+3 from last week. I've been strict on everything but it's still blah to see. Hopefully I see some negative pounds next week!

Riestrella, I'm so sorry for messing with your last 3 columns! :o

I do have a question, though. According to my percentage weight loss, it seems like I would be somewhere in the challenge winners top 20? Maybe I am confused about something...

Thanks for working so hard on this!

That top 20 was only for the first weigh in. You started at 266 and your first weigh in put you at 264.8. 266-264.8=1.2\266=.00451x100= .45% loss for week one.

Sorry, I know I'm not the challenge leader but I hope that helps!

somethingnew912 01-09-2012 11:15 PM

Thank you! I could have figured that out if I had stared at the information for a couple more minutes :)

This is my first time really doing one of these challenges and I've never done one with a spreadsheet involved.

Congrats to everyone this week

Thanks :) I am used to daily fluctuations, as I have always weighed myself daily. I usually don't sweat it, but to go up almost 6 lbs is unheard of for me. I usually give myself leniency for about a 3 lb fluctuation. That's what I am used to my body doing, even when I do eat horribly. It totally caught me off guard. On a side note, when I weighed myself tonight and it was 210. It's nice weighing less at night than in the morning! Lol!

OMG. I was just looking over the chart and realized that I typo-d my weigh in wrong last week-- i put it as 10 lbs more than it was, haha! I corrected it now, so it shows that I lost 2 lbs instead of having gained 8. oh man.

Oh well, i'll try to type the right number this week. :]

Hi Riestrella, I'm back! Ready for another challenge and this time I won't quit :( No more excuses!

Riestrella, thank you for taking on the job of running another challenge

Sabletora 01-10-2012 03:47 AM

If anyone has an fitocracy invites left can you please send me one...thank you :)

Ristrella I am only able to access part of the spreadsheet for some reason and was not able to enter a goal weight as that column was not showing up for me so could you please enter a goal for me of 143lbs. Thank you in advance :)

Riestrella 01-10-2012 06:38 AM

Hey everyone, figured I would post the results again for those who haven't seen them, so here are week 1 results!

By the end of the week there were 102 people listed on the spreadsheet.
I have had to move 12 people to the stand by list.
There are now 90 people remaining in the challenge!

Overall Chart:

Challenge Chart:

Addicted - Sorry that you were sick, a hollow victory! I hope you feel better and can lost that much for reals!

petite - Welcome! I mentioned on Fitocracy, but be sure to join the group challenge! It will be good to get some friendly competition going!

FeelinIt - I'm glad you like the challenge! Congrats on the 3 lbs gone forever!

noelle - It sounds like your weight gain was the meal you had - you just don't know how much cr@p is in the things you eat when you're out!

CaliforniaDreamer - Wow, congrats on the unexpected loss! I've only ever lost 3 lbs in a week once so I know how awesome it feels!

darlingbrit - That's the spirit, you can do it!

Paja - I know how you feel, I'm hoping for a good loss this week! Excited! But trying not to get my hopes up too much just in case!

princessgina - I feel like I'm finally getting rid of mine now, I had holiday bloat and then period bloat following!

sekc - Like Lambiechop said, use your weight from the week you start not your overall weight. All is explained in the first post of the thread :)

RachelAnne - Don't worry! Are you about to go on your period? Are you drinking enough water? There are a lot of things that may be causing your gain, but be positive and try to get to the root of the problem!

jay - You know I thought it was a bit of a high increase, but I didn't want to ask in case it was true and I hurt your feelings!!

Sabletora - Welcome back! That's right, no more excuses! I added your goal weight, not sure why it wasn't working - the scroll bar sometimes is a bit finicky. PM me your email address and I'll invite you to Fitocracy!

i really screwed up from friday to yesterday. I was on vacation in texas and i was counting calories and then somewhere along the way I was counting but going way over. I think the beer put me over the top. :( i feel horrible. From new years i was up from 207-210 now im at 213!!!!:(

supergir111 01-10-2012 12:15 PM

Hi all :D

Jessica: Beer has that effect on me too :(

I'm back down to my sunday weigh in weight. I always go up on a monday because I weight at like 7am compared to the weekend where I weigh in much later, plus I eat slightly more and have a drink or 2 so i'm glad to be back down.

RebaRamBam 01-10-2012 12:25 PM

I've been back in the habit of drinking lots of water and HOORAY I lost 2.2 lbs this week! I'm so happy and I'm SO close to healthy now! I can't wait! :)

Razorbackbritt 01-10-2012 12:53 PM

I lost 2 pounds this past week! Excited to see what I can do this week! I have picked up a couple more classes at the gym (on top of the 6 Zumba classes I teach) so I am challenging my body more...and its obviously paying off!

Ana Chambers 01-10-2012 06:16 PM

Great job so far everyone! I put my name down last week but just now decided to jump in the discussion!
My name is Ana, I'll turn 22 this month and I have a two year old son. Throughout 2010 I struggled to lose the fifty pounds of baby weight I had put on, but didn't lose a single ounce. In the first half of 2011 I got down to business and went from 195 to 165. Around July I kind of took a break from caring about my weight or what I ate, and have put on ten pounds since then.
I'm back now though! And this challenge is exactly what I need to finally reach my pre-pregnancy weight. :)

MusicalAstronaut 01-10-2012 06:43 PM

Argh, I was back at 187 this morning. :/ But I did go for a quick 2 mile run today. It's the start of my half-marathon training. I took some time off from running after graduation/Christmas/breaking up/feeling sorry for myself. So it was nice to get back out there. And the weather here is really cooperating!

Riestrella 01-10-2012 08:20 PM

I was naughty and ordered takeaway pizza with a friend. This time instead of gobbling it all I ate half, and tomorrow I'm even considering throwing the other half away. It's a waste of food and money - but that's the price I have to pay (literally) for choosing to eat bad food. I exercised a LOT today, I did 2 Insanity workouts and I've been trying to drink water loads so I'm praying my daily weigh in tomorrow isn't affected. Fingers crossed!

But some pretty exciting news - I CAN SEE MY OBLIQUES/MY DANGEROUS V COMING THROUGH! At first I thought they were just underwear marks, but then I looked closely and sure enough I have two dents in my sides! It's a shame my belly wont follow suit, I still have a nice pooch that isn't disappearing! I'm so happy, and even though it's only a slight change it's really nice to see something change aesthetically since sometimes I feel like it can be all about numbers!

jessica - Don't fret! You know what happened and now you know what you need to avoid. While on vacation we can ALL slip up. So just pick yourself back up and stay on plan. Drink lots of water and stay positive. There's no point in dwelling over mistakes, learn from them instead!

Reba - Water is the miracle liquid! Congrats!

Razor - Wow, you teach Zumba? You must be a machine! Well done on the 2 lbs lost!

Ana - Welcome to the discussion! With the right dedication and plan you will surely reach your goal.

MusicalA - I miss running sometimes, I love Insanity but I love going outside! The weather here is not as good as it is for you! I started Half Marathon training and then postponed it because of the weather, I think I'll jump into the 10k training again so I can get used to running again.
