So, how was your day?
Today was my official start day, and I choose to do a little detox - I ate only fruit, veggies and some chicken breast, and drank lots of water. I'll get a kitchen scale on Monday so that's when I'll officially start counting cals. My SW is 174.8lbs and I firmly decided to reach my goal (145lbs) before Jan 1st of 2012. I've been dragging this weight so long I simply don't want to wear it on me in another calendar year... There is 22 weeks till then, I think 30lbs is more than doable in that time...
I'm really bad with creative names. I'm about to use the power of Google to see if I can come up with anything fun
I'm in NYC for the weekend. I ate well for the most part (SO HARD!), with minor cheating. I mean, it's really hard to resist cheesecake when you're in New York. But still trying to stick to healthy choices; loosely counting/guess-counting calories and I DID make it to the gym on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, I messed up today with some over-excessive snacking. I REALLY wanted to go to the gym but we missed our flight home and we have to wait until tomorrow morning for a new flight, and I'm not willing to pay for the mediocre hotel gym. Today can be my cheat day...then I'm back home AWAY from street vendors, cafes, and temptation.
hotHealthy4life Yay, good luck on starting your journey! We will all be here to support you, and I know you can make it to your goal weight! What kinds of exercises DVDs were you planning to use btw? I need to pick up a couple more but I don't know which ones I should look at.

Or maybe something by Beachbody... I have tried Brazilian Butt Lift - at first I thought it was gimmicky, but no, it's not at all, it's one **** of a workout! And there are of course P90X and Insanity if you really want to go hardcore! Haven't tried those but I have them and I plan to do them eventually.
I was somewhat in shape last year so I could handle more vigorous exercises, but now I want to really start slow this time, so for starters, I'll be using the old Cindy Crawford's, combined with Les Mills Sh'bam, Marissa Tomei workout and something from Leslie Sansone.
I'm obsessed with JM videos. I've only done 30DS and I have done a few days of 6-week 6-pack with my sister. My problem is that I can't do DVDs everyday, so I sporadically do them, which is not the point of the DVDs.
We actually own Brazillian Butt Lift! My sister swears by it. I haven't had a chance to try it. It looks pretty rough, and my sister tells me it is too. Kind of frightening, but I do need to work on my booty...haha!
Okay, I got a PM from Suzanne,the administrator, who told me that forming closed groups isn't allowed and that forming a group under an already existing (20-somethings in this case) also is against forum rules.
So if you do want to continue this group, we can open a new thread in main Support groups forum and the group will be permanently open for anyone who wants to join.
But it seems to me that the interest in this thread ceased and that it will go to dust.
Suzanne, if you are reading this, I haven't seen the option to reply to your PM. I didn't know about those rules, but I do now, and I'll respect them
