so ladies and gentlemen, what songs get you pumped and keep you going in your workouts? for me its 'pump it' and 'my humps' by BEP, 'fergalicious' by fergie, and 'gossip folks' by missy elliott

I like pretty much anything that is upbeat and that doesn't make me want to fall asleep. I have a wide variety of music on my MP3 player that i listen to during my workouts. I too enjoy the BEP, the beats in their music are very motivating alone, makes you just want to get up and dance!!

BEP is good for cardio. I'll sometimes jump rope to "Don't Phunk With My Heart" and the other 2 songs you named.

What kinds of music do you prefer? (rock, alternative, hip hop, pop, etc)

Here's some from my workout playlists:
Cake - The Distance
Kanye West - Stronger
Daddy Yankee - Gasolina
Daddy Yankee - Rompe (we've done a zumba routine to this)
Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (there's routines for this on the Dance Central game)
Pitbull - Move Shake Drop
Pitbull & Lil Jon - The Anthem
Lil Jon - Get Low
Pitbull & Lil Jon - Krazy

I don't have my iPod with me, but I can add more later when I do. Daddy Yankee/Pitbull/Lil Jon was actually recommended by my Mom - pretty catchy, upbeat music.. good for power walks/jogs.

My most motivational song is "Fly" by Nicki Minaj and Rihana. The lyrics get me going.. it is all about going the distance, proving people wrong, she says, "I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive. I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise" it keeps me going..

Here's some more:

Britney Spears: Gimme More (remix), Circus, If U Seek Amy, Womanizer
Christina Aquilera: Ain't No Other Man, Candyman
Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl
Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl

Other good pop tunes from: Madonna, Janet Jackson, Shakira, Spice Girls
Good country tunes from: Gretchen Wilson, Carrie Underwood

For rock, I like Audioslave, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Orgy. For punk-rock-alternative, I like Bowling For Soup, Offspring, Everclear, Blink 182. Ska/punk is good for cardio: Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, No Doubt.

Most of the time, I'll put on pandora and listen to whatever I'm in the mood for... but one song that NEVER fails to get me going is "Low" by Flo Rida... I dunno why... but if I'm running, and that song goes on... I run harder, faster, stronger... oh... also reminds me... Fort Minor's Remember the Name does the same... but yeah.

I listen to so many things. I listen to a lot infinitetracks (8tracks) and pandora when I work out. I'll hop from "bouncy" music, to "angry music" to "relaxing music."

I love music with lyrics I can focus on too. Sometimes, listening to "coin operated boy" makes me forget my legs are in pain...

I <3 Coin Operated Boy!

Oh man, there are loads of songs I love to workout to!

I love pop/R&B club music songs that make me imagine myself in a rockin outfit looking all smexy and dancing like I don't care what I look like

To be blunt here, I like sex themed music that makes me think I'll look super hot naked some day!

I love angry heavy metal/symphonic metal/hard rock to pump out all the frustration.

And you've gotta have a few comedy songs on there too to remind yourself to not take life too seriously!

Right now I'm digging Lady GaGa's Born This Way album, Beyonce has been on my mind since the release of her 4 album, and The Lonely Island because they make me smile. Especially this song:

Tehehe.

I usually listen to mellow stuff since I only go for walks and bike rides, but when I want higher energy these are some of my favorites.

The Ernies - Polarized
Sigur Rós - Leit Af Lífi
Boom Boom Satelites - Dive for You
Village Kollektiv - Wysoki Ganacek
Niyaz - Dilruba
Garmarna - Gamen
Mediæval Bæbes - Omnes Gentes Plaudite
Venus Hum - Hummingbirds
School of Seven Bells - iamundernodisguise

Plus there's The Prodigy and Rammstein.

Born This Way- Lady Gaga. The song is great and the whole album is too. I love positive songs to help keep me going and nothing like a self-esteem boost to help push a workout along!

Heart of a Champion- Nelly. Definitely a great workout song about pushing yourself past your comfort zone

Daft Punk is really good for exercise too.
