KenzideRhae - I love rain, but I suppose even that gets old after a while.

Just keep swimming - welcome back :))

Hey everyone. My weigh ins are Saturday mornings. Last week I weighed in at 169 and wanted to jump right into this forum. I work out 6 days a week, typically for 2 hours total give or take. Weight training 4 days a week, cardio all six days. I've been doing this for about a month now and losing 3-5 pounds each week. I got on the scale this last saturday and I stayed right at 169. :( I was a bit disappointed, but brushed it off and kept going on with my day. Later that night I kinda had a breakdown and ended up being really discouraged about it. Yesterday night, I ended up binging on chips and popcorn. I'm doing my best not to beat myself up for it though. I got up this am and had my on plan breakfast. I'm getting right back on track. I'm not gonna let this stop me. I will get out of the 160's eventually, I just need to stop putting so much pressure on myself to do it so quickly.

Anyway, that's my intro. Sorry it was long :^: Hope everyone has a good day and keeps working towards the common goal!

EveLHaelf - welcome welcome!! Its defintely frustrating to see the same number, ESPECIALLY when you are working so hard. Im sure it'll come down soon enough. I remember how exciting it was to enter the 160s earlier this year (Yeah Ive been in this category since about February) Oi vey

Still holding at 169...hopefully with all my hard work last week some pounds drop off soon! *holds head high*:dizzy:

EveLHaelf 10-18-2010 01:41 PM

Tori- what a great attitude! I'm still at 169 as well. Let's both keep our heads up and the numbers will go down soon enough! :)

KenzideRhae 10-18-2010 03:10 PM

EveLHaelf and ToriJ: Just hang in there! I got stuck at 168-169 for a few weeks before I finally saw any drop in the scale. It'll happen, just keep working and don't stress too much about the number on the scale. :)

It can be really nice after a few weeks of obnoxiously hot heat like we get in the summer, and I looooove thunderstorms, but when it rains for months on end, I just want it to go away!

ToriJ 10-18-2010 03:36 PM

EveLHaelf...are you calorie counting? How on earth do you have that much energy to do all of that exercise? :p I am really going to try to get all my workouts in this week. If that doesnt work, I am going to re evaluate my food intake, maybe add more protein.

KenzideRhae: yes, this time around that seems to be the cycle...I will hold a weight for a few weeks and then drop a few pounds, then the cycle repeats itself. blah!

I'm down to 160.8 today! That was after some hardcore pms-ing had me back up 164. I'm thinking I'll hover around here for a little bit before dropping into the 150s, because that's just how my body works!

cornellchick 10-18-2010 07:43 PM

I was down to 163 before the weekend... now back at 165.0 :( But, it's only temporary - sticking it out this week. I want to be at 159 in a month!!

rainbowstripe 10-18-2010 09:05 PM

I think I'm down to about 164.9pounds/74.8kg. I don't know. It's hard to tell on my scale so I'll have a proper weight hopefully tomorrow when I weigh at my parents.
Congrats to all those with losses!

rainbowstripe 10-18-2010 09:06 PM

Oh and hang in there to those that aren't losing or are doing so slowly. I'm one of the slow ones it would seem.

I eat/drink lots of protein! I probably should be calorie counting, but I've tried it several times and I just can't stick with it. So I eat when I'm hungry and i keep it sensible and small portions. As far as energy, lol I dunno where I get it. I just get psyched when I have a workout planned and it's the best part of my day! :D

Moved my ticker up to 165, since I'm trying to be honest with myself.

Hopefully I will be able to move it back down soon!

I dont have a weight update, but I am going to go to a Powerstep class tonight. Oh my gosh, last time I did that was about 5 years ago in college and I would hide out in the bathroom halfway through the class because I couldnt keep it. It would be a victory for me to make it through this one without stopping.

Lilly, What's Powerstep? It sounds like quite a workout! I have been going to spinning classes (although not as often as I should), and at first I could barely walk the next day, and stairs were HORRIBLE.
