I usually crave chocolate or chips so to satisfy the craving, I substitute them with a 100 calorie Cadbury thin and/or Smart Pop popcorn.

Chocolate! To combat it I have 1 square of dark chocolate every now and then to help combat the urge to eat a candy bar.

Fries. Hot fries, crispy on the outside with soft fluffy potato on the inside. Oh man. It's so terrible. Except I'm allowed them once a week or so, as long as I don't binge and fit it into my calorie allowance. Otherwise I'd probably go crazy.

Sometimes chocolate too.. but last night I bought a KitKat at the movies and then sat there the whole time with it in my bag and didn't eat it! Felt so bad about it haha - probably also because Jessica Alba was on screen looking pretty sexy - good motivation!

Depends on the day...and the time of the month...

Usually I crave salty carbs, though. Particularly french fries. I'll get a small fry or a small meal from McDonalds every now and then because I went from eating large meals there like 4-5 times a week, to none at all. I let myself have the fry or meal every so often because I figure it's better than developing such a horrible craving that I end up binging on fast food. Still, I find the longer I go without eating it, the less I want it anyway. The last time I had fries from McDonalds I didn't even really enjoy them that much.

I also have a cheat night. My co worker and I like to order food on Wednesday nights at work as a way of catching up and bonding. Usually it's nachos. So, I'll eat less and healthier during the day than I normally do in preparation for that. Having a cheat day is nice because it's a way to take care of cravings without feeling guilty. Ever had a diet that failed because you binged unexpectedly and then gave up? That's my way of avoiding that.

I also get random cravings, usually during TOM (haha). If I get a craving out of nowhere, I nip it in the bud before it gets overwhelming. Whatever it is, I eat it in a small portion. Right now it's pizza...I plan to take care of that with a slice tomorrow.

I rarely crave chocolate, though which is weird ... I'm not a normal woman! LOL

Sweet stuff like candy or anything else with sugar. For candy i stay away from things like gummy candy or chocolate unless it is in moderation. I will also sometimes have (lightly) chocolated milk (not premixed, using a quarter serving of syrup).. I also have been having a little bit of chocolate after meals instead of just randomly, because it tastes more satisfying, since I have already eaten a fair amount of food. For candy cravings I go for hard candies because I have found they have far less calories a piece than something like a chocolate. Bonus points if the hard candy is chocolate, mocha or coffee flavored. Hard candies are also more satisfying because they last longer, so long as you don't get in the habit of chewing them up. One of my favorite 'hard' candies right now are bottle caps. 13 of the movie theater box sized ones (they look smaller than the others) is 60 calories, as opposed to a candy bar that is easily 250.

I also get random cravings for Chinese food! I dont 'beat' them, i just make smarter decisions..sauce on the side, stemed rice not fried if any rice at all.. chopped vegetables instead of a ton of fried chicken or pork, and if they have it, shrimp.

I am awful when it comes to cravings. Most of the time it's salty things, like tortilla chips, or pretzels, but I have been a hardcore Diet Coke addict for a few years now. After high school I switched from regular to Diet, but even still.. soda just isn't good for you. So I'm trying to kick Diet Coke completely from my diet. Also - the ice cream monster often just grabs me and forces its way into my mouth. I just can't help it... Mocha Chip overpowers me every time. I don't have it often, but whenever I do crave it, I always cave.

I just quit smoking last month, for good, and luckily have been holding FIRM with that. Next is Diet Coke.. then.. to tame ice cream.
