Thumbs down Feeling very blue today

I have been very vigilant about exercising the past week and I've been careful about what I ate. I did have fried fish one night at dinner, but other than that it's been healthy.

I stepped on the scale this morning and had a 2.5 lb gain from a week ago.

I weigh in at the same time, in the same clothing each week.

I know that there are a lot of things that can affect the scale (TOM, salt intake, muscles retaining water, etc), but those things are not comforting to me today.

I want to lose, not gain. I'm feeling hopeless today. I know I'll snap out of it tomorrow... but right now, I feel like quitting.

I know what you mean. At least once a week I weigh in with plus 3lbs when I've been working my butt off. But it does always go back to what I should be in a day or two. I know how discouraging it can be and how it can ruin all those great feelings you were having. Hang in there.

Keep moving forward and try to shake it off. Scale may not show the change you wish right away, but quitting? That DEF won't show it.

Over the weekend I puffed up 4+ lbs. I checked the food log and it had me at no change. Sure enough in the last day I've been peeing like a crazy person and I'm back to normal.

And write this stuff down. I went through this gloomy thing a few days ago around ovulation. I jotted it down to see if next time it happens again.

Hang in there!

A.

I sat around for a few hours feeling sorry for myself, then I went out for a nice 2 mile jog. WOW! It's amazing how a little activity can change your attitude! I'm feeling much better now!

Thanks everyone!

Good for you! Doing something positive when you are down is seriously the BEST thing - I don't do it nearly as often as I should!

Rule #1 Never quit!
Rule #2 Don't Panic
Rinse and repeat
Rule #3 review, review, review. Too much healthy stuff can still cause weight gain. For example, apples are healthy, but if I eat 20 of them a day thats like 1300 cals. Look at your moderation! Meat's also relatively good for you but something i find easy to overdo. Especially mince!

Keep it up

AND DON'T FORGET YOUR TOWEL!!!!

The constant up and down on the scale is so frustrating...

Isn't it amazing how working out when you're having a horrible day can really turn it around???
