  • stargzr - good luck! have fun in the 150's and hope to see you soon! Have fun with that fish tank too! I really enjoy mine - just hate thinking about cleaning it! lol

I am happy to say that this weekend was actually pretty good. I did eat a lot of pizza and a few chocolate eggs, but overall it was really good for me. I usually do way worse on the weekend - I usually end up baking! Thankfully I have rid my house of white flour. My scale was only up 1.2 pounds this morning from Friday - that is really good for me for a Monday morning. Normally I am up more then that!

Like I said in another thread, I am not sure how much exercising I will get in this week - but I am really just going to focus on eating good and not eating too many calories. 1200-1300 if I am not going to exercise. Hopefully next week I can get back to swimming, but for this week there is just other things I need to do that was more important. I am already dreading next weekend.

On a happy note, my new flat iron works awesome! I finally got to try it yesterday, and it really is so cute looking! I never did get my curtains hung up - I will worry about that later.

Hope everyone's Monday is off to a good start!
  • Fashinjunkie - this will be our week!! 161 IS awesome; it's certainly lower than I was a month ago! We'll both get on track this week.

Sotypical - congrats on a good weekend!! I'm tempted to change my weigh in to Friday; I think my weight goes up over the weekend too. Ridding your house of white flour is brilliant. Way to go! I don't think I could do that!! And yay for the straightener :-)

I ordered lunch a few minutes ago - crab stuffed chicken breast with sauteed spinach, roasted veggies, and a baked potato (plain). I should be good with that if I stick to a modest portion and eat a light dinner. Free food is my weakness; I debated a salad, but the chicken sounded delish.
  • ValentineNicole - when I say I rid my house of white flour - just like actual baking flour, not white flour products hahaha. Friday is usually the best day for me to weigh in, for a few reasons. It is usually the day I am lowest and it keeps me on track during the week. It gives me a bit of freedom on the weekend too. I used to do Saturday mornings, but the problem I found with that - I had too much time to drag it out. So I would get up and not eat or drink for an hour and then weigh. I felt like I was cheating myself and obsessing over it too much. But if I have to go to work, I don't have time to dance around the scale! haha You lunch sounds delicious!!!!!
  • sotypical, way to go ridding your house of white flour that is awesome! And I'm glad your flat iron is working well!

Valentine, yes this is our week! And that chicken sounds absolutely delish! That whole dish sounds amazing actually, I agree with moderation you should be just fine. Free food is def the hardest to pass up!

I am off work today and my bf took off too so we could hang out . He's actually at the gym right now but when he gets back we are going to see Alice in Wonderland, I've heard it's good and I love movies by Tim Burton, especially when they have Johnny Depp in them . Hope everyone is having a great Monday!
  • Well done to those of you who are losing, I've been stuck at 168 for a week! Grr! I know it's only a week but I've been busting my butt! I am finding all your posts very inspirational though
  • Wow, I need to make more of an effort to follow this thread on a daily basis- I missed so much!

LiLLy- definitely not cheating. I guessed at my starting weight because I was too scared to get on a scale until after I started losing.

    stargzr- Congratulations!

I weighed in on Saturday to... 160.2! So I'm here for another week, but hopeful I can lose the 0.3 I need to be in the 150s by the weekend. My only concern is how much I ate over the weekend (the in-laws were in town, taking us out for every meal), and whether or not I'll get a hike in this week. Normally if I miss it on the weekend it's gone, but with the time change I have hope of hitting the trails tomorrow afternoon.
  • How do you all eat well when you feel awful? I woke up yesterday with my TOM, way earlier than I should have gotten it. I'm crampy and icky. Then, today, I ended up with a terrible sore throat. So now I'm crampy, sick, and all I want to do is eat. On top of it, I'm sad because my boyfriend left this morning...

So far today, I had a ham, egg, and cheese croissant from Burger King for breakfast with a cup of coffee.
Chicken breast stuffed with crab meat and roasted vegetables for lunch.
Then I got sick feeling... I bought an orange juice bottle (220 calories) at work to knock out the sickness, then I came home and had a giant peanut butter cookie with a can of Cambell's chicken noodle soup. Now I just want to eat junk food and pout in bed. And I know I won't be able to exercise today - I feel just awful!

I don't know what to do!
  • Hi all! It's a been a while since my last post, I know. I've been super busy with work and trying to balance a social life.

I'm going into the 150s thread and I'll be looking forward to seeing all of you there soon.
  • Congratulations MissXB! Sounds like you're even almost out of the 150s! That's great!

Okay, so yesterday wasn't great food-wise. Today, I'm back on track! I might be sad and sick, but that doesn't mean I need to eat poorly!

Breakfast was an apple with a little peanut butter (2 teaspoons)
Lunch is minestrone soup and a panini with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and proscuitto (Yay work lunches - I'm enjoying this a lot ;-) )
Dinner will be a big chicken ceasar salad with light dressing (270 calories), a couple tomatoes sliced up, and a pear

I'm *guessing* since I don't know the lunch calories that this will be about 1400-1600. I'm being conservative I think... There's not a ton of proscuitto on my sandwich, and there's 3 round slices of fresh mozzarella. Better conservative than lenient though! It's definitely oiled or buttered bread :-) I still can't imagine a cup of soup and lunch panini is over 1000 though!

The good thing is, I should get all my veggies, fruit, and dairy in today! And my weight was back at 160, so hopefully this will be my week if I don't destroy my efforts with free lunch!! LOL
  • Congratulations stargzr and MiSSxB for moving on to the 150s thread! I hope I can join you there soon!

Sorry you were feeling so sick the other day, Valentine. Your lunch and supper today sound soooo good! I love chicken ceasar salad!

    Paja, 160.2! So close!

sotypical, I`m glad your new flat iron is so good!

Today was an awesome day at work! Canadian Olympian Clara Hughes has come up here for a week to work with our students, and today she gave a presentation and motivational talk to the kids. One student got to try on her speed skating skinsuit, and everyone (including me!) had a chance to hold her bronze medal from this Olympics! It was surprisingly heavy!

On the diet front, I`m still chugging along. I`m back on track after that horrible Sunday, and I hope I can lose the 0.6lbs I need to lose this week to get into the 150s!
  • Thanks ladies! I can't for you all to join us
  • Kirjava, that would be so neat! I'd love to meet an olympic athlete!

And - YAY! 159!! It's not my weigh in yet, but it's still exciting!! I must have needed the bump in calories to deal with the sickness :-)

    HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!!
  • jj, you are doing so awesome just keep at it and I'm sure you will see a nice loss this week!

paja, wow 160.2 you are so close keep going girl you'll be out of here this week!

Valentine, I'm really sorry you were so down. You did a great job of getting back on track though and I know how hard that can be. And 159, you are there girl! I know your waiting til Monday to make it official but that's awesome anyway! And I saw that you dropped in on the 150's thread I did the same thing lol even though I haven't seen 159 yet I'm still anxious to get over there!

kirjava, that is so cool that you got to meet an Olympian and touch their medal!! And I've got my fingers crossed that you can lose that .6!

miss can't wait to join you but your moving so fast you might be gone by the time I get there!

Still hanging on to 161 but down to 161.3 this morning so that's a little better. I'm on my way to the 150's one fraction of a pound at a time! Oh and Happy St Patricks Day!!
  • Where is everyone?

I just wanted to drop in and say my unofficial WI this morning is 160.7!! Also, that makes 10 lbs down from when I started this journey (for the second time) on Jan 11 when I weighed 170.8.
  • Congratulations fashinjunkie!! That's awesome; keep up the great work!

As for me, I'm still 159 today! YAY! I'm thinking this isn't going to be a fluke. I hope I'm right!
Today we're getting fajitas catered at work. I'm SO hungry, and they should be here any minute. Yay! I hope I can keep my calories in check!!
