Feral- I totally understand where you're coming from on the long distance thing. At first I loved it...it was like the perfect mix of having someone and yet also having my personal space (we only live 2 hours apart so we spend weekends together). In college, having a bf in the same dorm sucked. I never had time to do my own thing bc we were always together, and it just killed the relationship. But now that my current bf and I are more serious, it seems like we have less time to see each other and it's really starting to get to me.
Oh yeah... not that any of you want to know this... as it is a TMI, but you will all sleep better knowing that I am STD and HIV free! HAHAH! Hooray for yearly check ups. Not that I was worried or had any reason to worry... but its always good to have that confirmed. Now a days it's hard to find someone who doesn't know anyone with an STD... unfortunately in the "scene" I was involved in for a long time I think at least HALF of the people I knew DID have something. *gag*
Forest - you and I cross posted. I completely FORGOT about the bf I had in the dorms my freshman year. LOL That should tell you something. Yeah we were ALWAYS together and when we broke up I was pissed because he stole all of my friends. He had been living on the 11th floor and I introduced him to all of the guys on the 7th floor so he and his roommate moved down and then all of us were always hanging out and during the split I guess they decided "BB4H" and they didn't really hang with me anymore.
Feral I dont mind long distance either... I think my ex and I got along better when we were further apart haha... and It was exciting when he did visit...hence why I dont think Germany is such a bad idea haha
Also California isn't falling off into the ocean and if it does I might go with it because I'm supposed to live in San Diego... or Savanah... but thats only cuz its amazing there
Forest you're really funny... last night I slept like a mummy and I was STILL freezing... no snow here but its super cold
Stella I have a horrible time censoring myself.... The F word might be my favorite word and I use it a lot... I even use it in the middle of words I have been saying it since before I was two supposedly... gotta love my parents
AIR... Africa? you have got to tell us what you were doing there (THANKS Skinny)
I watched the Holiday on Sunday and it made me want to switch lives with someone...anyone wanna come to crappy Maryland? haha

I'm editing that... I got so confused this morning... I think I was typing a novel and it clearly took forever because I crossed some paths lol
Feral and Forest... my boyfriend transferred to my school and was put in my SAME building on the SAME floor..talk about horrible... and since he transfered he had no friends really really crappy situation but somehow we were together for 3 years... I just remember how horrible freshman year was second semester
Haley - I vote for Savannah because I LOVE Georgia... and the coast... and I haven't been there but I heard it's wonderful. I have some friends that live NEAR there and they are awesome. Georgia isn't falling off into the ocean. Go the safe route!
Haley - Aren't you a native, and therefore bound to like Maryland? Its not too terrible here, people just see precipitation and freak the EFF out. OH MY GOD THE SKY IS FALL...oh, that's just rain... Also, I LOOOOOOOVE the Holiday. I watched it with my dad and he goes hey, Jen, you're like that red head. Why thank you, father. I KNOW.
Plus - you have SAILORS in Annapolis!!! The uniform alone is worth it.
Forest - Have fun skiing. I tried it once. Not my thing. I'm more of a tubing girl
Feral - I prefer long distance relationships as well, for the space thing and the commitment issue thing. I've gotten somewhat over the latter, but if I don't get my own space you do NOT want to know me.
Feral: Savanah is amazing... my dads family is orginally from there...way back in the day...It is seriously such a beautiful place... I went to Atlanta in October and honestly hated it... I stayed in Buckhead... that might have been the problem but seriously we didnt enjoy it at all
Stella: Secretly I love Maryland and I love all the hot Navy guys but clearly I havent found one for myself but Annapolis is my favorite place and I wish I could live there... I'm working on hitting the lotto... Truth is I will probably never leave this place... of course we cant drive here and I think people in NJ can't drive either haha... you guys have some weird road things... My friend from NJ always complained about Maryland roads
Forest: I almost died skiing... I dont think I ever want to go again
Yes, the road systems are different. I really think its driving styles. We're more offensive, you guys are more defensive. It only really irritates me when I'm going around 495 on my way to school. There's an S curve and the masses feel the need to BRAKE. I want to be like shh, its okay, just a bend in the road, it will straighten out.
Yes I hate break happy people... I live in the middle of nowhere...we dont have traffic but yes I can easily drive on the Beltway and do and I hate people who cant MERGE
ok, i am the odd one out here...i can't stand long distance relationships! my boyfriend while i was in uni lived about 8 hours away, and i saw him every 2 weeks. it was like you couldn't have a healthy balance when we saw each other...it was either "let's not talk about anything serious/fight cause we are only seeing each other for 2 days" or "let's spend these 2 days hashing out all the issues from the last few weeks". although, maybe it was just our bad relationship, and we fought more than normal...hence the break up a few years later
Forest - i am attempting to learn to snowboard over these past couple of winters. my husband is really good, but i pretty much suck! although living a couple of hours from the rocky mountains, i should really learn...
Stella and Haley - sailors? go get 'em, girls!!! uniforms are hot!
Haley - Personally I'm not a fan of Buckhead. Never have been. Not really my style. Midtown is pretty cool if you're a hag like me.... althought I prefer to call myself a fairy princess. Piedmont park is GORGEOUS and a fun place to hang out during the spring/summer/fall when the weather is still nice. I'm more of an underground kind of girl myself... and I don't mean the literal "Underground." Years ago they used to have an area they had turned into clubs called "Underground." Also, you have to be used to driving in shotty parts of town... and walking back to your car from them late at night. The only reason I didn't own a gun when I lived there (it wasn't THAT bad) was because my roommate was a convicted felon (from something WAYYYYYY in his past) so we couldn't have it in the house legally.
If anyone is ever making a trip let me know and I'll be happy to tell you some cool places to go/eat. Oh man.... you're making me miss The Flying Biscuit. They serve breakfast ALL day and its a little on the pricey side but the portions are HUGE! They just opened one up in Raleigh. Still haven't been yet!
Oh Skinny snowboarding sounds fun. Note the fact that I said SOUNDS. I've been skiing a few times, not really my cup of tea. Although I think I would prefer snowboarding to skateboarding. My best friend skateboards and I kind of wish I could learn because he could teach me... but I had a tendency to break arms when I was younger. LOL I trip over my own two feet walking!
