I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday! I'm happy to report that I did VERY well yesterday! I was up on my feet all day cooking and cleaning, so I decided to count that as some exercise and only opted for 30 minutes of C25K (which I'm walking at 4.0 and running at 4.5 now yay!).

For dinner I did fill my plate and eat most of it, which according to my pre-counted calories should have been about 500-600 calories for dinner. We had green beans, delicious squash, sweet potatoes, turkey, gravy, and stuffing (there was more, but that's all I had) and I kept my portions to one reasonable sized scoop for the higher calorie things and 1.5 scoops for the veggies. I didn't even finish my plate! I left some stuffing, which is my absolute favorite dish. And for dessert I had a sliver of pumpkin pie and only one of my mini-cheesecakes - I wasn't hungry for anything else! Though I was dying to try the pecan pie, I love pecan pie. Also, we had snacks out all day and I only went for the grapes and had one or two pita chips. Usually I would have gorged myself on pita chips and dip. I'm SO proud of myself!

I haven't gotten on the scale yet because my parents are still asleep and it's in their bathroom. If I'm up, then eh - I'm up, I'm not going to worry about it because it will probably be water retention from high sodium. I got down to 181.5, beating my goal of 182 by Thanksgiving so I'm happy

If you don't think you did well yesterday, don't worry about it - my motto is one day won't kill you but three will. Get your butt back on the wagon and back on plan!

I don't have my scale here, but I'm optimistic. I snacked a lot on the pre stuff - so sausage and cheese- but then my digestive system revolted so I don't know how much of that counted. For dinner I had turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoes and asparagus, the only thing I had more than one portion of was turkey, and that was white meat. I had a very small slice of pie and a spoonful of cheesecake, but then I had cookies at my grandmothers. I was never stuffed and I even skipped lasagna and birthday cake, so I'm
pretty happy with myself
I'm debating skipping the gym and just going straight to the city. My best friend and I are going to walk around NYC before I put my Christmas tree up, so I have a pretty active day planned without hurting my knees more.

I'm glad it sounds like everyone has had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Mine was very good as well and we did Thanksgiving number 2 with mother's family tonight. Even though 2 was with lasagna...yeah, strange. I don't know what's been with me lately but I haven't been training because I have bronhcitis (what's new...I always get it. anytime I'm sick, it will escalate to bronchitis. its law) and I just have not been hungry so I'll eat maybe 700 cals before dinner and then eat some dinner-not sure how many were in it tonight. Anyways, its not good food and I've been doing the wine thing so it makes me nervous. Grr...I bought a new dress though today. Its lovely and even though I wasn't supposed to buy anything, I went ahead and did it. Plus I got an awesome chemise. No more money spending for the rest of November though. I'm very very nervous about weigh in Tuesday because I've been fairly inactive and I'm not sure what my past two day dinner calories have been. Scary. Whatever. Keep going and TOM is almost over. Yayayayayay!

OMG in so glad I didn't work out this morning. We walked from 33rd street to 81st street in Central Park, walked around the park and then walked back to 33rd, circling Times Square a few times to find a bathroom. We went to Target and I got a radio/cd player/iPod dock for $50 and a printer/scanner/copier for $40.

My awesome ex boyfriend then helped me put the Christmas tree up, and that took 2.5 hours. I just sat down for the first time since ten am and man am I tired. I also got TOM 5 days early, which explains why I kept crying yesterday.

If my hips don't hurt tomorrow I may try to run outside, but now I'm just chugging water because my calves are tight from all that walking.

Sooo.... for as well as I did yesterday, I didn't do so great today. Damn pecan pie... A bite here and a bite there throughout the day turns into a piece eventually. And I had left overs for lunch (very small portions, and all of the good stuff so that was ok) and then I went to hang out with some friends I haven't seen in 6 months which was awesome, but I JUST got in so no exercise for today (unless laundry counts...) annnd for dinner we had open faced turkey sandwiches, teriyaki noodles, broccoli and salad. Then my friend had cookies out for dessert.

We'll see what the scale says tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll be back up to 183 or 184. Le sigh, and 180 was so close.

However, tomorrow is BACK. ON. PLAN. day with extra workouts to make up for today.

Wow loooks like everyone did really well this Thanksgiving! Good job!

Sadly I do not fall into that crowd ... I am honestly not that dissapointed in myself though for a few reasons ... 1) I decided beforehand that I wanted to just eat what I wanted and not worry about counting 2) While I def. overate at my first dinner ... it wasn't a binge (There is a difference to me between binging and intentionally overeating b/c I've struggled with BED) yay!

I gained 3 lbs! 3 LBS! That was more than I lost last week But I've already dropped 1 1/2 lbs of that ... so I'm thinking water/salty food ... On top of that I made myself so sick ... next year I'm eating like a sane person b/c I never want to be sick like that again

Then last night my sister was rushed to the Emergency Room (and then later signed out against medical advice, but that's another story *sigh*) ... anyways so the DF and I ate in the Hospital Cafeteria ... by the time we got my sister in and waited around (for several hours) it was so late that all they had left was chicken fingers and mini-pizzas ... (I'm not complaining really )

The only thing I'm frustrated about is the fact that I was in the 170's ... today I'm at 180.something ... Not sure if I'm going to change my ticker or not

Anyways I'm with Platform ... this week I'm strictly on plan ... starting right this minute

Oof. We had Thanksgiving part 2 today - went to Pa to see my uncle and cousins, and I kept my portion sizes down, but oh, we had sprinkled donuts...its been so long since i had those sprinkled donuts - they're hand made at this bakery in town...but I figured I walked over 100 blocks yesterday and only had 1 meal today, so I think I'm okay.

TOM is kicking my butt, and I'm just praying I can get back to MD in a decent amount of time tomorrow...I've got homework, darnit!

stella, TOM sucks. I'm just finishing mine and good ridance, I say.

As for today, it went better. Eating more than one huge meal a day is for sure the way to go. My eating was fairly regular, as I did my green meal today, which is always good. No working out because I am going to clear this bronchial infection so it doesn't interfere with my winter training. Yay! 13 workouts a week....always good. I feel like I may be beating down my immune system? Oh well, I hope my coach knows what he's doing. Perhaps its just been the cold weather and my late nights. Yes, that's it. Anyways, food was pretty good, though I did snack a tad more than I probably typically would. I'm so glad to go back to school for a whopping two weeks so I can have regular eating habits again. There's something about being in my parents house that makes me overeat like a mother. Oh well...Will have to keep myself in check during exam week and watch that stress eating. Exciting but extrememly nervous about weigh in Tuesday. I really hope I did not gain. At this point, I'd be pleased if I remained at my last week's weight even though it was a TOM number.

The scale is heading back in the right direction today, 181.5 But it won't last for long lol, this week is TOM...

I'm getting excited because my ski trip is 3 weeks away! But I'll have to work my butt off on my classwork to get it all done in time the last week so that I can hand it in early and NOT have to go to class while I'm away.

Haha - yes Forest! We keep missing each other between New York and Maryland.

It only took me 3.5 hours to get back to MD - which is what it SHOULD take - so now I'm going to work on my presentation and go see a guy about a treadmill

Is it bad that I read that and went "ooh...bacon...." then made some?

I didn't eat all day, its FINE, and it was turkey bacon.

Anywhoo...

Haley, don't worry about it. It was a holiday weekend - so you over-indulged - tomorrow you'll be back on plan, and it'll be okay
