platformnine--yay on the c25k!! and as well as the weight loss. I wish I could stop stalling.....
daisy--YAY ont he weight loss. and almost 5 lbs!! That's amazing.
peachykeen62--Happy belated b-day! and everyone needs those small moments every once and a while. I do it all the time. and at least you're back on track now.
readyfreddy--I am in the same boat as you are, all I can say is just keep on truckin' i guess...
stella--I haven't worked out in three days, so today i did an hour ont he treadmill as well as 5 mintues of dumb bell lifting.
loquaciousjogger--I think everyone has those wtf body moments. I do all the time. lol. hacve fun with the bf!!
Just did my workout on the treadmill. The only thing I seem to have problems with is my eating habits. I've cut out regular pop, and drink diet. I know STILL not the best, but I need help. I want to eat better, its just I lack the motivation when it comes to eating right.
although when it comes to working out, I can do all that on my treadmill, and hour or more. I'm weird.....
I did my Wii fit this morning Only about 20 minutes because I was so tired that I slept in, but I feel tiny surges in endorphins (yay). I'm thinking of working out on the elliptical later, after my ex roommate leaves, but I might just take it easy and do it tomorrow morning. I was literally so exhausted last night I couldn't stand up. I think I'm just going to start bringing dinner with me on Tuesday's to class. If I eat lunch at 12 then don't eat again until 8, that's waaay too long. I didn't eat all my points yesterday, so of course, I'm starving right now. I'm trying not to binge. Yay tea.
But did you ever notice when you're really tired you get really hungry? I'm fighting this.
Scale read 175.5 today (177.5 on monday) so I'm definitely on target if not ahead of schedule
Just finished writing a post revealing abit of my history with weightloss and self-esteem issues.. this blog is turning into free therapy sessions lol.
I hope everyone else is having a great week so far. hAPPY hump day
stellarosa27 - I was starving last nite around 8-9pm but I fought it and went to bed early. If I dont get my set # of sleep I get extremely peckish and snackish
Mickeypnd - Good job on exercise! That's 1/2 the battle. Are you tracking your calories? I find it really helps me stay in check and alott a certain amount of calories for snacks
loquaciousjogger - Good luck with your school work! I try not to weigh in during TOM... the weight is mostly bloat
readyfreddy - new month = new start! Good luck!!!
peachykeen62 - hehe good luck with the boy Crushes totally make me lose weight too lol ...
daisy5819 - YAYYY ON WEIGHT LOSS! That's awesome
platformnine - sounds like that boy does your body good
In Control - he does my body tons of good lol. I see him again Friday, sooo hopefully TOM will be gone by then so he can help me work off the water weight
I need to try and stop weighing in during TOM because it just bums me out. I need to get my mind off of it. I have a lot to do today and yet I'm still sitting in bed lol. I need to clean my room, burn some cds for my friend's little sister's party, annnnd catch up on some classwork that I blew off yesterday. Thankfully I got my workout(s) in yesterday, I was just too tired to do anything else. I went to bed at 8:30 last night 8[ Talk about tired hahaha.
Mary - what do you do to work out? We're around the same weight, and I don't have the time I used to to dedicate like 3 hours a day to exercise, but you seem to be doing awesome, so I was going to try and copy you
Stella - I like to keep to the lower end of my calorie allowance (1300-1400 as opposed to 1600-1700) and I try to do an hour a day of exercise. I also do a lot of walking. Since I go to school online (U. of Phoenix) I'm home for most of the day and we have a basement gym with a treadmill. I mostly use exerciseTV and my walk away the pounds dvd (I found the collection one with the stretchy band on amazon for like $6). When I do the exercisetv workouts I mix it up - 30 minutes pilates or cardio, 20-30 minutes strength training because I'm afraid I'll plateau if I do the same workout every day. Annnd I just started doing C25K and instead of walking on off days this month I'm starting ExerciseTV's 6 Pack in 6 Weeks program to try and trim my waistline to make sure I fit into my new ski pants comfortably for my ski trip lol. My 3FC blog has all of my monthly exercise challenge plans for the next few months, and back to september if you want to look at them to get some inspiration I know you work really hard Stella, and I know you can bust into the 180s!!!
I get FitTV now, I was thinking of maybe utilizing that as well.
I think I just have to get used to my new routine of sorts, and be patient, I realized last night I may be trying to push myself a little too hard with everything going on, but I don't want to be completely NON-active.
Stella- What exercises do you prefer on the wii? My problem was that most of them didnt seem to be enough cardio for me and I feel kind of odd doing the strength workouts. I do however love the hula hoop it kills me, in a good way of course!! Mary- Grats on doing well with the C25k! I really like it when i first started but found it painful for my chest. Im waiting for my Enell sports bra for my bday (the 30th) and im going to start the c25k over. InControl2Day- Grats on your weightloss! Mickey- Grats on getting contacts. I want contacts as well but I have astigmatism and having to get fitted for them is pretty expensive not to mention the special contacts. Luckily I dont need my glasses all the time so I mainly go out without them.
I am struggling sooo bad this week. I just want to eat everything. I have been trying to avoid eating everything in site all week. Im fixing to get my TOM and its killing me. I have decided tomorrow instead of my 1.5 mile walk im going to double it along with my 30DS. I found this interesting that some lady asked on Dr. Oz (I love him btw) why we eat everything before our TOM and he said because it puts our bodies in stress and when were stressed are bodies want to eat because we are programed to think that stress means famine so we resort to eating. I found that pretty interesting anyone else go crazy before there TOM? Good luck today ladies!!!!!
Stella - that's true! Between moving and the gym key issue and school and all, you could be stressing your body out into retaining water or something. Think happy thoughts! Lol
Pammy - I have astigmatism in my left eye and I don't remember any fitting, I just get the Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism contacts for that eye and regular acuvues for my right.
I'm debating the merits of my lunch today. It's TOM and I desperately crave peanut butter every time (probably cause I used to pig out on reese's PB cups.....). I know peanut butter is ridiculously high in calories, but it IS a good fat right? And I know it's got lots of protein. Also, it was a REALLY good sandwich and really filling!
Here's the breakdown from SparkPeople:
-Pepperidge Farm Dark Pumpernickel bread, 2 slices - 160 cals, 30g carbs, 2g fat, 2g protein
-Smucker's Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves, 1 tbsp - 10 cals, 5g carbs, 0g fat, 0g protein
-Kirkland Organic Creamy Peanut Butter, 2 tbsp - 200 cals, 7g carbs, 15g fat, 9g protein (compared to other PB brands in my house, this had the least amount of carbs and fat, and the most amount of protein)
-Banana, Fresh - 93 cals, 23g carbs, 1g fat, 1g protein (optional, I'm weird and like banana on my PB&Js lol)
-Dannon Light & Fit yogurt, 6 oz - 80 cals, 16g carbs, 0g fat, 5g protein (also optional, it was my snack with my lunch)
Without banana, just the PB&J sandwich: 370 cals, 42g carbs, 17g fat, 15g protein
With just the banana and PB&J, no yogurt: 463 cals, 66g carbs, 18g fat, 16g protein
And my whole lunch (pb&j with banana and yogurt on side): 543 cals, 82g carbs, 18g fat, 21g protein
platform: During your TOM, there's nothing wrong with enjoying yourself a little. Just have your sandwich and walk more if you're worried about the calories. If you're recording it and it's not making you go over... it's fine.
I'm just so proud right now that tonight I'm going to Cold Stone with a friend and getting my favorite ice cream there (Birthday Cake Remix!!). AND I'll be under calorie wise for the day!
Meh. I've had a bad day. I have a big exam tomorrow that I don't feel prepared for, and a big paper due the day after that is not very far along, and NO motivation to work on the studying or writing at all. I'm exhausted and want to go to bed, but I can't because I locked myself out of the house and need to wait for my roommate to get home. I got all the way home and realized I didn't have my keys and was ticked, and came back to campus, where I am now. I was hungry and hadn't brought anything to eat because I planned on going home for supper, so I was not thinking and bought one of those 5 oz bags of frito chips and ate the whole thing, which puts me above my calorie allowance today for sure, and makes me have a stomach ache.
I feel like I want to puke. I know I was eating because I'm stressed out, and I should be happy that I don't eat like that every day. Last semester I could eat one of those daily along with a lot of other nasty things like soda and a candy bar or something of the sort, and not really feel sick. But right now I just feel so ill and mad at myself.
Mary - Yeah, I just took it easy today. I feel a lot better, I'm going to go to sleep in a few minutes and hopefully wake up rested. I'm not "gaining" so that's good, I also figure the time change may be screwing with me too.
Pammy - This morning I did all of the strengh training exercises. I LOVE the hula hoop, but its not enough cardio. I'm thinking I may alternate a day of C2K/cardio with the Wii Fit stuff and see what happens there. I really like C2K, and I ran on the Wii Fit, but I want to run LONGER.
Everlasting - /hug Just start over tomorrow, it'll be okay. I know what you mean about the fritos - I can't eat any of that stuff anymore without dying inside, and while I suffer, I am kind of excited about it.
I just made dinner for my ex-roomie. I made shrimp with garlic and hot pepper, asparagus wrapped in turkey bacon and brown rice. He ate it all, so I guess it wasn't too terrible. Then we had lemon cupcakes - I realized that 2 cupcakes is one serving, and I made them small anyway, so that made me happy
I'm now kind of just hanging out watching the hockey game, getting really excited about going to sleep. Oh, what an old lady am I.
So I just joined today and this site seems very supportive! I'm a college student looking to get back in shape and overcoming some emotional eating. I've just recently started to be motivated to lose weight but i have had 2 good days of eating healthy in a row..it's a start!
Oh ladies, I am sore. I decided to try and kick up my gym time because well I don't have much else to do with my time. So rather then doing the smart thing which would have been to go for an additional few minutes and build it up I just decided to do a 30 minute bike ride after 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weights. Yeah lets say my ribs hurt. That's about it for today.
