That's almost exactly word-for-word what I was about to suggest. If this is a friend that you love and trust, I don't see anything wrong with confiding in her that it's difficult for you to control yourself around certain foods, and you'd rather not put yourself in a situation that puts an unnecessary strain on your willpower. You're just being realistic and trying to make a prudent decision, and a good friend would understand that... IMHO there's nothing wrong with indulging in some planned/controlled treats every now and then, but if cheesecake isn't something that you are really, truly craving--don't bother with it. Hold out for something that will give you REAL satisfaction!
