No, avocados lead to a sordid love affair...the hot and steamy kind. LOL Yes, guacamole and LOTS of it. And avocado and jack on EVERYTHING! True Californian style. Mmmmm jalapeños! Dude, are you avocados gold plated? Goodness! The highest they get around here are like $3. Mmmm haas...

Holy Portobello mushrooms! <<<will that be blocked out too?

I'm hungry...

I'm giong to go to the store and take pics of the price tags on avacados for ya...and no, they are not gold plated, they are old and mushy and brown and mealy...and expensive. I miss good avacados. The restaurants manage to have guac all the time though...wonder where they get theirs?

Hey all, it's Friday and I missed this place! Doc (my dog) has been taking up all of the time, and what's left, I'm just too tired and crabby to do anything... I swear it's like having a child, which makes me even MORE reluctant to want children. But, it's gotten out of hand with slacking on the exercising and eating (well, eating hasn't been too bad) and I need to get back into paying attention to me or, well, we all know what can happen...

Me.. um, adjusting to having a dog, dealing with snow and winter (even though it isn't officially winter YET) weather and cold and short days and holiday stuff (I have no holiday spirit this year... weird). I read through this week's thread and it sounds like everyone is kicking tookus and all that! Way to go!!!

ghost -- I'm guessing everything grown is pretty expensive by you, huh? And way to GO on the boy-action!

prettypaula -- I had to look up mince pies, for some reason I though it was a meat dish... Ahh, no. Baked good is a great idea (I was looking for something for neighbors and mail carrier...)

You girls crack me up....

I had me 1/2 a burrito for lunch.

They are doing reviews today at work for most of the employees, not me I'm sure. My only friend here, is leaving on vacation for 3 weeks. I shall be sad. He told me today that if they don't give him a good raise, he's gone. I told him he doesn't want to be looking for a job right now, but he's stubborn. I would be so sad if he left. He makes my day a little brighter when he's here. lol I sound like a bad country song. lol

I got out of work tonight and went to the grocery store and spent 60 bucks on a bag of groceries!! ouch but it was all the special stuff that my parents won't buy so for the most part I dont really buy many groceries.
I just finished eating rajma masala and some pistachios. I know my TOM is coming and I just wish it would start already that way when I want to go out next weekend it will be over!!!

Bl- lol You're right! Or if someone dies, or leaving and aint coming back ever.

So I'm proud of myself! I got up at 5 this morning at work now at 6 am! This is a big deal for me. I'm not a morning person. I got my hair cut last night! I told myself 50 in but I'm leaving next week and I'm at 44 so I cheated. I'll add pics later. You can't really tell that much, but I got layers put in so I feel like I have no hair, but she only took 4 inches off the length.

4 more hours and I'm going to the ocean!

Hi girls!!! I'm so glad to be back....we had a wicked ice storm that was kind of not really expected Thursday night into Friday morning. I woke up at 2:30am on Friday morning to the sounds of branches cracking and falling. Power was knocked out, there was no school yesterday because most of the town had no power (including a good majority of the schools), and our phone line was dead, so I was already up and showered and ready before one of the teachers I work with called me.

We finally got our power back at about 4am last night....26 hours later!!! Oh my goodness, I was SO bored once it went dark. It was freezing, so my dad and I made a fire (thank god we have a fireplace) and drank wine (me) and beer (him) by that for a good four hours. LOL It took everything in my power not to snack on bad stuff all night long though.

But thankfully, the power's back on and the heat works again!!! They were talking that it might have been until Monday before some places have their power back.

Well graduation was great. My whole family was there, however, they stayed long enough to see me graduate and then left. I got back to the house and we had a party with a bunch of my friends and family. It was great and I looked happy and more healthy than ever. Then to top off the day my boyfriend bought me a Wii!!!!

Chele615 -- Ahh, I was reading about that online yesterday, and it sounds terrible! I'm so glad everything was back up and running for you after a day. Ice storms really freak me out. And I agree, when the power goes out, I don't know what to do with myself!!

Yeah, ice storms freak me out too because a lot of times, they are not really focused for and you never know how serious it can turn out to be. We were lucky that we got our power back so early. A lot of people aren't even expecting anything until possibly Monday! That's crazy since it happened Thursday night.
