Aughh!! SO tired today! I dragged my happy butt to the gym. I did the eliptical most of the time with my eyes closed, but I did it nonetheless. I'm pumped that I've been four days in a row now, but I know myself and I hope I don't do what I've done before so many times and run out of motivation. But then again I never had you guys before!!
Breakfast: seaweed salad.. 100 cal
Lunch: Chick nuggs... 395
Snack: Nutrigrain bar... 140
Dinner: rice and turkey steak... 550
I was a little low on cals today, but I'm feeling a little sick. I hope I'm not getting sick!!
I messed up today. I had to bake my sister a cake and I went a little over board on snacking during the baking process. So I think I was at 1600 or 1700 for today. Which is crappy, but not too far from the high day on my zigzag plan, so maybe when I go low again tomorrow it'll be okay.
I was 174.5 this morning! That puts me down 9.5 from my starting weight about two weeks ago!
But the crappy thing is this beautiful dress I bought for prom in spring is getting too big! I absolutely LOVE this dress. I feel fifty pounds thinner and just gorgeous whenever I put it on... So I'm pretty bummed about that. Maybe the store will have the next size down and I can go trade it in...
That is amazing hopaboppit... kudos to you for getting to the gym!
Viatre - that doesn't sound like a 'mess up', your calories were a little higher than you wanted, but nothing extreme, and you are getting back OP tomorrow. You must have been a very responsible snacker, I know I can get completely out of control myself when baking (like waaaaay too many calories! I always find it hard to stop). Argh!
Well, today was pretty good! It was a good friends birthday so we went out to breakfast. I had a yam omelette with goat cheese and pesto potatoes (which is high in cal... like 800) BUT! I packed up half, and ate the other bit for lunch! I stopped when I was full, yay!
Breakfast: yam omelette with goat cheese, pesto potatoes, tea with milk
Lunch: the rest of above
Snack: orange
Supper: 3/4 cup couscous/veggie meat/chickpea dish, 1/3 cup cottage cheese, 2 chocolate balls.
Snack: 12oz NF latte, 1/5 cups popcorn
Also, I weighed in at 196 this morning. Only 1 more pound to go until the magical 20 mark!
Viatre... Congratulations on your progress!! It kinda sucks about the dress but at least it's because it's getting too big! Go girl!
So today. I had a small capuccino for breakfast (300). I know not the best breakfast, but I forgot to bring my nutrigrain bar to work today. Lunch was some leftover rice from last night (350). Dinner was a Subway turkey sand.
(315) And now I have roughly 450 cals left. I was wondering if it's "against the rules" to use those cals for drinks tonight. I know no nutritional value, but I'm staying in my calorie limit for the day... Any feedback?
Oh I also went to the gym again today, but only for the eliptical. I didn't do any strength training today
Thanks guys! Today was high in calories too, but I planned for it as well as I could! We were celebrating my sisters birthday (pasta and cupcakes for dinner!) so that meal alone was probably a good 800 or more calories! But I had a very small breakfast and lunch to compensate and I don't think I went over 1600, if that. So that's good.
Then I did C25K W2D3 plus some extra walking, so hopefully I'm down for tomorrow!
I feel lousy! I think I am getting sick. I was at school studying from 9 until 9 today... I think my brain is fried. Anyway, not the 'cleanest' day as I was in a study group in which people brought tons of candy etc. So, had some cheezies, candy, and timbits (doughnut holes)! Well, at least I stayed within my calories. Have I mentioned how excited I am for exams to be done?!?! Only 4 more in 6 days! Then I can finally start my christmas shopping .
Breakfast: Oatmeal with hh and jam, tea
Snack: Orange, 1/2 bag cheezits
Lunch: couscous with beans, veggies and dip, 12 nibs, 10 peach rings
Snack: tea, orange
Supper: cup of tomato soup, 2 timbits
Snack: 2 timbits, 1/2 apple with tbls peanut butter.
Let's all have an OP weekend!
... and yes, I do think it is okay to use calories for drinks, as long as it is not a regular thing, mostly because of the things we can be tempted to eat after a few! At least, my willpower goes out the window .
In an effort to be accountable, I will confess my foods & exercises these last two days:
Friday -
Exercise:
JM 30 Day Shred, Level 2
Wii Sports, 45 minutes
3 types of crunches, down verrry sloooow to maximize effect
Foods:
Bfst:
Frosted Flakes, Clementine
Lunch: Rice, Kimchi, green leafy vegetable, dried seaweed (yum!)
Dinner: Ramen & cheese
Snacks: Yikes! Goldfish crackers (probably 2 servings), Jellybeans, some sort of cookie (maybe shortbread-ish?), a square of chocolate
Total estimation: 1560
Saturday
Exercise:
57 minutes on treadmill, running & walking, 5.8 km, 420 cal
Walked to grocery store, 20 minutes
Wii Sports, 30 minutes
Lunges, about 15 each leg, all the way down to floor
Bfst: The rest of the Goldfish crackers (3 servings)
Lunch: PBJ on 1 piece of bread, yogurt, 1 mozzarella stick, 4 tortilla chips
Dinner: Clementine, Nachos (with lots of tortilla chips)
Snack: Small piece of cheesecake (it tasted like fish! Even my boyfriend thought so... no more Korean cheesecake!!)
So you can see exercise is really hitting the mark but eating is still off. It's always one or the other for me! Last many days eating was okay but I was avoiding exercise.
I'm thinking of switching my calorie counter from Healthtracker/FitDay to thedailyplate. I didn't input today's calories but I'll try tomorrows for sure.
joyra--I used to use thedailyplate and I really liked it! I recommend it! Nowadays I like to see my food in writing and it's hard for me to find time to be online a lot.
Soleil--Saw your post about losing 20 pounds! Congrats! That's awesome!
I'm definitely not doing well! I need to make it a priority to post on here every day. My daytime food has been good but then dinner i bad. I ate out 3 nights in a row and I have no will power when I eat out so each day was blown. I did work out yesterday and Friday, but not today.
Today was horrible!
Lean Cuisine 300
Oranges 100
Donut 200
LaffyTaffy 200
Cookies 500
Spaghetti 400
Breadsticks 400
So, like 2100 calories. HORRIBLE. And I was going to be so good today since I hit the ten pound mark this morning!
But tomorrow will be better. I'm going to study all day, do C25K W3D1 and limit myself to 1300 calories. No more! I also am going to drink at least 8 glasses of water and get back on track! I was just AWFUL today and I'm so mad at myself!
Viatre, I totally relate. I had lost 6 pounds and thought that success would drive me to be even better and I blew it this weekend. Don't be mad. It happens to the best of us.
Viatre - amazing job on the 10lb loss so far. Remember, tomorrow is a new day!
Yesterday I had my hardest exam from 7-10pm! So late! It should be illegal. I got out of the exam and it was blizzarding (very unusual for where I live). My city shuts down if there is anything over 5cm of snow on the ground... It was a disaster getting home, there were cars around poles, in ditches, and horizontal across the road! Seriously... only 5cm of snow. It is funny (sort of) but thats what you get when you only have summer, rain, or all season tires. No one knows how to drive in the snow today. Then this morning I get a call because work has been cancelled! I am a supervisor at a live theatre, so this is a big deal... a client cancelled a production because of the little bit of snow. Oh well, more time to study!
Yesterday:
B-oats with jam and HH
L-Soup with ww baguette
S-Apple with 1tbls peanut butter, 3 cups air popped popcorn
D-Salad with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette.
S- Beer! Few bites of leftover spaghetti, piece of bread.
Today so far
B- oats with jam and hh
s- 1/2 apple with peanut butter, americano
L-spaghetti with tomato sauce (meat substitute used).
Thanks Soleil! That sucks to hear about your final! I have my first true final tomorrow morning at 8:00 and I am not entire prepared...
I'm really jealous of your snow day, though! I live in Texas and it NEVER snows!
Today I was doing pretty much okay, then we went to get burgers for dinner and I really messed up. But I can't do anything except try to do better tomorrow.
I did exercise today! Which puts me at having exercised about 800 minutes already in December... I'm really pumped because I started W3 of C25K tonight... I'm getting through it! I need to be able to run a good ten minutes, preferably quickly, in early january or Lacrosse, so this is good!
Today's food:
Lucky charms (150)
Coffee and skim milk (50)
Chicken noodle soup (120)
Asiago cheese bagel (330)
Four Andes candy (100)
Special K bar (90)
Grilled cheese on whole wheat bread (460)
Couple bites of baklava (100)
Nuts (100)
Total--1500 calories on the nose!
And I even worked out! An hour on the elliptical and some strength training. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow about some shoulder pain I've been having so hopefully I can work something out and see a physical therapist and get my shoulder and knees back in shape.
So hopefully I'll stay on track! It will be hard because I'm going to New York City for 4 days on Thursday. But I'll worry about that on Thursday...
Wow, lots of you are in finals--I don't miss it! Good luck with your eating. My idea of studying for a final was buying a big bag of junk food and camping out in front of the computer for a couple days eating the worst of the worst to power me through.
Katie, have fun in NYC! That's one of my favorite cities.
Again, the brag-worthy thing in my life is my exercise. Today it was 40 minutes on the stationary bike and a few minutes working at plank (3 sets, 30-40 seconds per time--nearly died!). Yesterday I burned 325 calories with DDR and got in some push-ups. Is my core made of steel yet? It should be.
I haven't tracked my calories in many days and just like falling off the exercise horse, it's hard to get back on the calorie tracking horse too. I am not too worried about what I'm eating, though I can tell by not tracking I am feeling a bit more liberal... eating a few extra tortilla chips or popping in an extra piece of chocolate. Even when I was pouring cereal today, I think I gave the box an extra shake.
The BL 20-Sthg challenge has ended and I lost 5.5 lbs in 4 weeks and 7.5 inches. I'm very happy with the results and I hope I can at least achieve that in the next month. I'd love to drop 10 lbs in the 5.5 weeks before my trip but... if only another 5-6 lbs, then I will be happy.
