Seriously. You know, I actually saw a size -1 at Banana Republic. That's absurd. I can fit into a size 8/10 jeans at Gap now, but my favorite 14's (also from Gap) from high school (not that long ago) are just now getting to the point where they are not suctioned onto me.
30 years ago in high school i was over 5'4" i weighed about 135 pounds (thought i was fat) and wore about a size 12
175 lb & 6 ft
tops: medium
bottoms: skirts are 10/11 and pants are 12/13
I'm so glad you posted! I'm 5'11 and most people I know that are about our heights are in the 200's. So even in 170's your roughly 10-12. That's cool. I had been looking for a healthy goal, I came up with 190 but not sure exactly. I'll probably evaluate it as I get closer to it.
Right now: size 14 jeans (they are now starting to get baggy even when I put them on just after washing/drying them), size 16 pants, XL tops because of the DD cups. NSV: I am able to put on, button, and zip up a pair of NY&Co size 16 pants from 2002 that I haven't been able to wear since 2002.
When I started: 263-265 lbs, size 18 jeans, size 20 pants, barely in XXL tops, was inching towards size 20 tops.
5'8"
202lbs
16 jeans at Target
L or XL skirts and dresses depending on the store (bottom heavy)
Large tops because of boobs but too big on shoulders and back *sighs*
Great thread!
5' 3" - 147 - I'm curvy and my proportions have stayed the same throughout the loss but I've found that sizes dropped when it came to tops, but on bottoms it hasn't even though my legs and hips are MUCH smaller. I think I might've just been wearing a size too small on bottoms.. b/c I wore a tight 13/14 at my highest (192) but now I've only gone down to a 10/11...
On top, I wear a medium-large.. I have a big bust so that usually gets in the way of fitting into all mediums
On bottom.. I'm pretty sure I'm in between sizes, I'm a loose 10/11 and that size is pretty consistent, though sometimes 11 is too big and 10 is tight.. I've found that in skirts I'm a size 9 or medium, but even that can depend. I think once I get down to 140 I'll lose a size finally at the bottom and I'll fit into *all* mediums by then instead of just some.
I mostly shop at Charlotte-Russe, Forever21, Century 21, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Daffy's, Macy's.. - just to give an idea.
I am 5'1". When I was 274, my highest, I was in tight 22's (I refused to buy 24's!) and 3XL tops.
At 223, I am in 18's, but I have been able to fit into 16's of certain brands (Michael Kors!) Tops are 1XL or XL. I have huge boobs. Dresses are a 16-18.
I'm 5'5.5" and 139 lbs. I'm a size 27/28 or 7/8 I guess. Also some stores I'm as small as a 4. I'm also now mostly a small on top. Sometimes I'm still a medium, but no more large!
And when I started out I was mostly a size 11/12, or a size 30/31 and a medium to large on top.

5'4" and 130 lbs.... depending on the brand I wear a 4 or a 6. But i hear some of you on the absurd sizing. I own a size 2 skirt that fits and i KNOW i don't wear a 2!! In tops I wear a small or a medium sometimes because i have larger breasts.
I'm 5'6'' and in a loose 18 at 251 pounds(last time I checked anyway). Last time I got down to the 180s I was in a nice size 10. My top half is larger than my bottom half, though.

I'm a size 8-10 Australian or 4-6 US and my waist at last measurement was about 25"
And my bottom half is definitely about a size large than my top! Thanks to child bearing hips and runners thighs! I got the best compliment from one of the trainers at the gym too when I had a program done about 6 weeks ago - according to him I'm looking good and totally in proportion *yay*.
