Ooh MPH! That's awesome! I'm headed to med school next fall, and would have loved to be pursuing an MPH with the MD except that I'm not good at public health. It's so interesting and the most important health field out there though, I think, which is why I wish it came more easily to me. Still, I like working with people/patients, so I think for me clinical work is a better option all around.

Heck yes I am in!! I would love to post my first after pick here. I am so excited. Today I stuck with my healthy tv dinners. I am a huge fan of Biggest Looser and I have Work out dvd #2. It is already working wonders. I was at Target the other day and I saw some cute bikinis!!! It encouraged me more. I exercised for 35 min this morning and will do the same tomorrow. Today at work I had to go by Chili dogs for my co-workers in the floral department at the supermarket I work at. Then they bought do-nuts. It felt really good after I said no. I kept thinking about this forum and how I couldnt wait to write on it with good progress news.

It's soooo hard to say no to work food! That is a really amazing accomplishment. I work for a credit union.. and credit unions are actually really well known for feeding their employees a ridiculous amount of food. There are so many jokes in the industry about us being fat crazy people.

There is leftover lasagna from a big work feast where we had Olive Garden brought in last week. It's killing me not to go eat it as a SNACK!

Thumbs up This could REALLY work!

Today is day #3 for me and I already see some promise in this crazy idea of calorie cycling. I'm not feeling hungry at all, except when it's food time hehe but when I do eat it holds me over the 2-3 hours until it's time to eat again. Which is great because I was wondering how I could feel full on weird meal combinations like ham slices and grapes but it's working! I already dropped 2 lbs of water weight so I gave myself a pat on the back this morning.

How are y'all doing today?

So today I woke up. The first thing I saw was my dress I want to wear so badly. I tried it on. IT FIT!!!!!!! Oh my gosh I almost cried. Yesterday was really tough on me with eating because I had to go play my saxophone at church and there was a potluck. But I fought it and I one. Then me and my boyfriend go to a wing place. I already ate but he really wanted some. That was really hard because they are really good wings. I am so glad today that Istuck to my guns Yesterday.

Thumbs up Banana Shake

This is sooooo yummy..and healthy!

1 Large banana
6-8 oz milk (preferably low fat)
2-3 tsp vanilla extract blend it all up and enjoy!

About 400 calories (depending on the milk you use), 6 grams of fat, 82 g carbs (70 of them are from the banana so it's healthy carbs), and 11 g protein

I had one after my crazy intense cardio workout today...I want another one but I have to restrain myself! hehe

I haven't been to the gym for a while, but would love to get back into shape again. I think I'm going to join you guys in getting ready for the warm weather!

I'm going to try to hit the gym again on the weekends and I'm going to replace my daily desserts with a half-cup of 2% milk and end every meal with a hot cup of earl grey tea (really makes me feel full).

Welcome to my meager little group! hehe I was hoping for more people and more activity in here. It would be more fun but oh well,

that's a great idea to fill yourself up more after a meal to drink some hot tea...hmmmm you got me thinking! although I generally feel full after my meals anyway.

how much weight are you trying to lose?

Alright you got me, I just finished week one of my Push! dvds (with at least 100 min. cardio/wk) I took a before pic for myself mid March gives me about two months of consistant working out, then I'll take an after.
I think knowing these pics will have to see the light of day will be even more motivation to keep up with it!

Where are you going in Oregon? I am headed to Portland and then Bend at the end of March!
